For a quick one night stay, it was adequate, but had I stayed longer, it wouldn’t have been ideal. The mattress was hard as a rock (it was the firmest mattress I’ve ever slept on), the tv/remote barely worked, and I couldn’t connect to the internet at all. The coffee machine had 5 decaf coffee pods (no regular) and one tea with zero condiments; no sweeteners or creamers. The employees were generally nice and helpful, as I had to leave early before the valet got there.

Hotel was terrible! Oversold rooms, put us in a lessor room and was completely unapologetic about it. Had to sleep on a dirty couch. Staff was rude, rooms were dirty. Completely unsafe location. Wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me!
3.8
Good location. Rooms were good . Staff was super friendly and helpful, wonderful people all around . A few food places to eat close by in daytime , but area becomes downright dangerous after dark. Do your walking and exploring in daytime .
3.8
The area feels unsafe. Door was locked when we arrived to check in, staff were slow to arrive at the door. Staff were also not very warm, and a little sketchy/ unprofessional. Then, loud club music and ambulances all around made even nice conditions very disconcerting. Will likely never stay here again.

The WORST booking experience I have ever had. I arrived late in the evening, and was told there was no existing reservation for me and there were no available rooms, despite the fact I had deposited money when booking for the stay. After trying to sort it out with customer service for over an hour, I was forced to book a gross, low quality motel on the outskirts of town on my own dime that night.
3.8
Do not stay here. Very rowdy part of town. Very loud music and cars. Something shady happing…someone had been in our room watch the football game and took shower. The elevator was super scary and run down. You can’t control the temperature of your own room. You have to call down and have them adjust it for you. This is a Big NO.
3.8
The hotel overall was not bad. The suite rooms are huge. They advertised a restaurant and bar but the employee told us they did not have a restaurant but found out he was lying and didn’t want to cook the day of checkout and the bar because they were serving breakfast and the bar was very mediocre compared to the photos and advertisement. Valet is not 24hrs and you have to wait until they come back to work to retrieve your vehicle and they do not advertise that it is valet only. Rooms were huge but the refrigerator in the room did not get cold, no trash cans but one small one in bedroom, curtains were semi coming off, the club beside it played music all night, and the elevator needs some maintenance. Conveniently located 2 minutes from UAB which is perfect! They also sit on a strip that have a lot of eateries around them. Overall experience was not bad but just some minor adjustments need to be made. However, I would stay here again for the convenience of getting to UAB.

I should have read the reviews first. The hotel room itself was nice enough, tho not clean. Crumbs from prior guests snacks on the floor. A swimsuit top liner was abandoned by prior guests as well. No housekeeping service even on request. Elevator broken. Bar service limited. You can do better anywhere else

Staff was awesome very friendly

Loud through the night, front desk was not helpful, valet was great, couldn’t control temperature in the room.

I am a fan of Hotel Indigo. In fact, I stay at one whenever one is available. I booked this one based on the reputation of the hotel. However, when at 12 a.m. the street party was so loud that sleep was impossible, I regretted my booking. I called downstairs and the desk attendant told me that it was the "entertainment district" and the party would continue until 5:30 a.m. or 6 a.m. And, the fact that it was in this district, made the noise okay. Crazy. NOWHERE on this listing does it indicate the district or describe the CRAZY LEVEL of noise. Needless to say, we didn't sleep. Also we paid $38 for valet service and when we returned from our evening engagement, they were gone. That was too expensive for parking my car. It's really a shame that this hotel is a bad choice based on the noise level at night.

Nice stay!! Would stay here again!!

The noise outside our window was insanely loud ( a night club) and went until 2 am .. so we were unable to sleep even with a sound machine blasting. Also paid $50 for a valet, only for it to be closed when we got back to hotel at 11pm so had to park it ourselves and walk… which was just very frustrating after paying so much for one night

The waitress for the breakfast was RUDE & SLOW. She wondered around most of the time. They only had eggs and sausage. You had to push the up button in elevator regardless of where you were and wanted to go. The front desk staff was amazing.
Oh and valet is 38+fees a day so 85 for two nights.

I stayed here probably 12 years ago. My other accommodations cancelled at the last minute so I remembered this place. Front desk was very nice and helpful. A service for her. As for the property, one of the elevators was down and the other one was sketchy. The property is still ok but it could use some updating. It's showing it's age. Still was clean and ok for one night but it's time for a renovation.
3.8
We didn’t stay longer than even an hour. It was not safe, unclean and shower and bathroom not functional. This is a one star hotel and not safe if checking in at night.
3.8
Definitely not what I expect from a boutique hotel. It was very old and renovations were done cheaply. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. AC was great. Overall, though, it was disappointing. Would not stay there again.
3.8
Wouldn’t recommend

Front desk was exceptionally friendly as well as the bar manager

Had a wonderful stay.

I love this hotel 100/10!!! The many food choices outside of the hotel are amazing!! The staff were polite!! They helped me with my every need. The street were always booming and having something going on and I love it !! Room 402 was a beautiful view of the 4th of July fireworks show!! I’m definitely coming back to this hotel!! Probably next week 😂!!!!

The shower floor and surroundings have stains and show signs of age. The room was ok, location was close for our planned trip, but the hotel is in need of some repair/renovation.
3.8
Wasn’t anything to brag about but it was alright! Can’t say that I’ll be staying there again!
3.8
Air conditioner was set on 65 but never cooled the room. Other than that, we loved the location and the vibe.
3.8
I like the hotel and the staff. I didn’t like that the elevator was broken and the ice machine wasn’t working on my floor. I didn’t have towels and face cloths in my room. But I loved the stay at the hotel.
3.8
The only negative at this hotel was having two double beds instead of queen beds!
3.8
I was displeased with the service of the waiting staff for breakfast. Otherwise the stay was pleasant.

No one on staff thought to let guests know that the elevators didn’t work nor did they offer help! So the day of my departure, I had the pleasure of walking down 3 flights of steps with a large suitcase, carry on , a Never Full bag and makeup box. Just lovely!
3.8
No elevator we were on 6th floor sucked no microwave or frig for this price
3.8
Upon arrival, we learned of the broken elevator, the fifth floor walk up, the lack of availability of the reserved king size bed, and no coffee or coffee cups in the room. Carpet did not appear vacuumed. We didn’t bother drinking the 1 complimentary drink offered for the notable inconvenience of the broken elevator.
3.8
Air conditioner didnt work. Front desk told me they would give me indigo points for the inconvenience. I will never stay there again

This hotel has deteriorated substantially since we were here several years ago. Looks a little ragged. Main problem is malfunctioning HVAC. Our original room was quite hot. Fortunately, the responsive night manager found a room for us on the sixth floor where the hvac works. She said the hvac on the second and fourth floor is the problem. Bathroom door in new room does not close. Recommend avoiding this hotel, especially for $175 a night. We’ll not ever return, that’s for sure.
3.8
Walking to great restaurants and super friendly hotel staff.
3.8
The property was nasty, rooms, bedding and sheets were nasty. Room had no towels. No one was designated to clean the rooms. Showered overflowed ever night, this was the worse room I've ever stayed...especially for $250 a night
3.8
Linens were not refreshed.
Room was dusty.
3.8
The room was dirty (trash on the floor from previous customer). The bathroom door came off the track, which is dangerous because the door is very heavy and could have fallen on us. The valet was rude and moved a lot of our stuff and made a bunch of adjustments in the vehicle. The lady who checked us in wouldn’t send towels up to my mom’s room. There weren’t any in her room. The elevator didn’t work on certain floors. The area in 5 points has gotten very noisy, sketchy, and unsafe at night even on Sunday night. Not a great area, especially if you’re looking for something family friendly.
3.8
Poor service. Loud hip hop bar with DJ.
3.8
The room was too warm because we could not adjust the thermostat. We found out at check out that they control the thermostat.
3.8
Only one elevator works no microwave or fridge
