My travels around the world are fairly extensive. This hotel far exceeds quality and service in any hotel I’ve stayed in. This family owned hotel treats you as you are an extended family member
This is a MUST STAY in Venice
I give it 10 🌟out of 5 ✨.
Its that good

Service is wonderful. Convenient location but away from the crowd.

Excellent hotel. Incredibly interesting atmosphere and ambience. Very old Venice. I felt as if I was in an Agatha Christie movie. Great service. Great food. My room was very comfortable. It was in the garden area. I highly recommend the Metropole.
1.5
The hotel is located at a prime location in Venice and has an antiquated/gothic charm to it. That being said, I would not characterize this as a true 5 star hotel. The service was average and the bathrooms need some safety-proofing or upgrading. It was a fine stay, but I wouldn't book again with the prices.

This is a fantastic property second time staying here absolutely love the decor and charm and characteristic

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was superior in all ways. Delicious breakfast. Charm galore. The best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life.

This is a great hotel, staff was exceptional and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel

Great location and great staff. The room temperature was way too hot and staff could not cool it down.

Location and history of the hotel were great and most staff members did an amazing job. However, my wife’s pricey makeup set was stolen from our room, and some of the additional services were hopelessly overpriced. Almost comical was a rat one morning in the dining room spooking all the guests!

Excellent staff. Nice room appointments. Acceptable breakfast. Great location.

This hotel is dark … And, I mean dark both in the lobby and our room. The color scheme is scary if that’s what you like you would love it.
The hotel breakfast was included in our rate $$$ was a joke. They don’t even have any type of breakfast meet for 2 out 3 days we were there. How expensive is bacon or breakfast sausage? To make up for lack of items on display, there were 3 different plate of pineapple - seriously?!?! I know we were we in trouble when they need to serve croissants as special item from the kitchen so they can control quantity and those croissants is at best passable. There were no other pastry available except for some type oily mini donuts.
Btw, you get a physical key to your room not a digital card and you supposed to leave it the front desk each time you go out…talk about safety??
The bathroom is a mess too - there is this small glass partition for the shower but useless and we should wet the floor regardless how careful we shower.
Don’t stay here if you have a choice. Your money is better spend a 2 star hotel … sigh.

Property is perfectly located. Staff was amazing, especially the concierge. It truly added to the magic of the trip. Would absolutely recommend and would stay there again.

We stayed as a family of 6 persons, 3 rooms. It was a sanctuary from the mayhem of Venice. Venice is fantastic but pretty full on. The staff were all excellent, they were friendly, polite, chatty. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service from concierge, the bar, breakfast team & housekeeping. Rooms were quiet, well maintained, overlooking a peaceful garden. Enormous bed, great bathrooms. this hotel has everything that you may require including a private dock straight into the hotel. I heartily recommend Hotel Metropole.

The staff was most helpful and accommodating and the restaurant and bar service was equally exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet. The room was elegant and spacious with every detail attended to. The overall hotel decor and furnishings were exquisite. We would recommend the hotel to any visitor to Venice.

Perfect location with its own dock for a water taxi. Staff were great especially in the Oriental Bar.
A fantastic hotel for our first trip to Venice.

We had a balcony room - it was incredible! The room was wonderful and the view from the balcony was amazing. We just loved it.

Location was superb. Rated 5 stars, but not brassy - done in old antiques which is correct fir Venice. Staff just outstanding - always wanting to help.

Loved the hotel! Very Venetian, staff was wonderful . The restaurant is beautiful, but they should change menu to more authentic Italian.

Outstanding property with excellent staff and service. Prime location.

The hotel staff were incredibly efficient, professional and polite. We had no issues that had to be dealt with; it was simply the day to day attentiveness. The breakfast was absolutely on par with what one would expect from a higher end hotel, and the recommendations for dinner excellent. I would highly recommend!

Lovely hotel. Perfect location in Venice. Staff was helpful and considerate. Breakfast was outstanding - pleasant greeting every morning followed by fresh squeezed orange juice and cooked to order breakfast. Really quiet hotel. Was easy to relax and shut out all the crowds.

very helpful and polite staff - welcoming. possible tea making facilities in room but understand at this time may be not possible

One of our favorite hotels in the world. It’s beautifully complex and filled with stage-like personality. The Metropole feels a beautiful statement against corporate hotels from the moment you arrive. Design-wise, it’s a wonder. The staff is flawless: the garden breakfast team, the housekeepers, the head concierge Giuliano, the barmen Angelo and Bruno. Bravo to all.
1.5
The hotel was very welcoming.Staff were fabulous and could not be more helpful.Beds were extremely comforatble.Breakfast on our first morning was a little chaotic but I am sure trying to serve breakfast (because of COVID)instead of buffet is a nightmare.Would definitely recommend teh hotel.Location was perfect

The hotel looks like a museum, with lots of art everywhere you look. The garden was especially beautiful. Overall very good value for money and very close to San Marco.

Everyone here treats you like royalty, they are kind and efficient , this is the only hotel I stay at in Venice

Despite bizarre decor and uncomfortable furniture, the service is impeccable. Our room was cleaned 3 times per day. Bed & linens were very cozy. Be forewarned that “canal view” does not mean you can see the grand canal from your room, or that you will have amy view at all.
2.5
The staff helped so much to make our stay fantastic, very good position, not far from all the main attractions, all walking distant,
