There was a cockroach on the wall and mold in the shower.

Passing through Albuquerque and this hotel was budget and pet friendly. It was easy to access, close to downtown, and met our needs. The breakfast and being pet friendly was great for us. The room could have been a bit cleaner as floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned lately but overall this was not huge deal for us. You can definitely hear the people above you walk around but fortunately the people above us were quiet. Overall, I would consider staying here again if we went back.

Second time I stayed at this property, a year apart. I wished I recalled having an adjoining door with next door unit, as that same situation occured on this trip. Both times neighbors were talking or watching TV as I was trying to lay down.
The room was very clean and planety of hot water to soak in after trekking around the Plaza at night in November. Breakfast also very good. Recommend this property also in case someone interested in walking to the Plaza, which I did on both visits.

I booked again for the 3rd attempt to get a decent room. We booked during the Covid and the room was a complete mess. I asked for a different room than we had the last time and they put us by the pool which again was not operational! This room was small and only had a desk chair for one other person to sit in! The A/C ran all night at 72 The door was cut out to swing past the toilet that was installed also! Not a lot of sound design planning went into a very poor upgrade of the rooms. When we left we tried the breakfast, it was cold and we had to sit outside. Not going back and for the price they charge, I could get the same at a Motel 6 and maybe even have a better room! Sorry Sage you dropped the ball on us

Dirty, no bedspread, no nightstand lights, shower dingy, floor was terrible. Will never stay there again. Completely misrepresented. Certainly not a resort.

Good value for the location. The rooms could use some updating and the cleanliness needs help.

Outside garbage needs to be picked up off the ground... Garbage pick up at the neighboring property is early early early Wednesday morning... Like 6 AM- didn't like waking up to that after getting in late after a concert!!! Room was relatively clean, but the floor could've been cleaner... Watch your bill for additional fees that are not provided until you leave! This room was $50 higher than advertised!

It is not the best place.
The restaurant waitresses and waiters forgot my about my order and when I went two complaint 45 minutes ater, the kitchen was already closed.
The people upstairs were making noise all night.
When paying, the hotel surprises you with a $15.00 hidden fee for "amenities" .

Checking in the staff was very nice and friendly The room was average and I had a problem with the towels in the room. I called the front desk informed them of the problem and asked for some clean towels and never received them and the AC unit was not functioning properly. So we got early the next morning and ended our stay. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and apologetic and said she would leave message for the day manager, but never received a response. There is something else I could say, but I will just write it off to the game.

Fun boutique hotel

The room was very average. The wiring from the room heater-a/c unit was hanging out on the floor. A switch in the bathroom was broken. The pillows were terrible --- lumpy with no structure whatsoever. My biggest concern, however, was that I got the vibes that the pillowcases had not been washed from whoever stayed earlier. As I was on a short visit, I did not try to switch rooms. Given the hassles with reimbursements at work, I did not try to move to a different hotel. After the first night in the hotel, I requested the room be cleaned, but that did not happen. (While I was checking out, I overheard another patron complain to the front desk person that their cleaning request was not met. So, likely my case was not unique.)
The big positive for this place is its location and the fact that Whole Foods is right next door. I wish the folks managing this place invested a bit more energy/care. Were that to happen, this place could be a good pick.

The Sage Hotel is one of those roadside hotels that was popular in the past that are making a comeback. The hotel was in great shape and very affordable for the area. We felt comfortable with the area and was able to walk to dinner down the stair, feeling totally safe. One thing, they do activities in the lobby, separate building across the parking lot and the night we were there the DJ was very loud. I would recommend a room away from the lobby area if possible.

Great place to stay as room clean and downtown is walkable from hotel. Great when downtown has cities on weekends and farmers market is .3 miles from hotel

Don't want to use a touch screen for check-in, making my key and check-out. Highly unlikely to use this motel again. Also, paper thin walls.

Truly enjoyed staying here. It’s our go to when visiting sante fe. Just wish the pool area was better

On approach, staff seemed hospitable. Upon checking into room, found water running from every faucet was dirty. Registered concern and was dismissed as pipe trouble This establishment is dirty, noisy, unhelpful. There are better options in Santa Fe.

When we arrived there was a band playing so loudly it made it difficult to check in. The first room they gave us the bed had been slept in and not made up. We asked for another room. The next room they gave us had crumbs on the credenza and was covered with ants. We asked for another room again but they were sold out. Housekeeping had left for the night. They were unable to make it right or find an alternate hotel for us.

I have stayed here many times
There are several blocks of buildings
If you get out into the block at the front it is very noisy both from traffic and the bar
If you stay on the block at the very back it is run down with dirty stained carpet , coffee machine didn’t work, pillows were horrendous, and it stunk of fish. The windows do not open and you cannot get any air unless you leave the door open and then you have other guests inches away from your door trundling past
If you get lucky you’ll be in the block on the left near the back
That has laminate flooring and the coffee machine works and smelled fine.
My overall comment would be you get what you pay for but do not stay in that back block!
The “orange” juice in the breakfast place was I am certain, diluted down so much that it was really orange colored water.

The sage was in walking distance of the historic district and the rail road tracks. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were okay but very clean.

This is an interesting hotel. Make no mistake the bones of the property are reminiscent of a budget motel. But they have made some significant and innovative updates. For starters the rooms have been modernized at least partially. The items provided (toiletries, etc) feel premium. Also like the free transportation to city center. You can walk back (~1.5 to 2 miles) as well. Breakfast options had variety and good.

It is the little things... Broken hairdryer kept falling off the wall. There was a Keurig and cups and pods, but no condiments. The charging station buzzed, is bolted to the nightstand so I had to unplug it. The staff are ok for the most part, but they can use some training in attentiveness. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, there is a restaurant. Great location.

This is our 2nd stay and definitely not our last. We had an amazing bartender last night! He can in on his day off to close for someone that was sick. He made us amazing drinks and was kind and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. No issues at all!

I could overlook the hair in the bathtub. But the roach in the bed along with the fleas along with a bottle ofpersonal items under tbe bed...not so much.

I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYONE, ESP. A FN HOTEL WOULD START THE LEAF-BLOWER AT 7AM

This hotel is nothing like the description- it is a dirty run down motel with a new sign. Tons of bugs everywhere and hair all over the sheets. Did not want to take my shoes off to walk on the carpet, it was filthy. I did request a new room since I paid ahead through expedia (will not do that again) but the reviews of cleanliness must be totally fake- even the new room was worn down and has bugs.

Great customer service, checked in late night wasnt a problem.

The shower / tub faucet wastes a lot of water with the shower going. The cold water in the sink was very low volume.
Comfortable furniture and nice to have a carpet-free floor.

Room layout was bad, plumbing coming apart and barely functional, towels were not very clean. Tired and dated. Bugs in the room.

This was a regular, comfortable place to stay. We were happy with it, but
"hot breakfast" and Pinon Coffee were the only differences between this place and the significantly-less-costly motel literally down the street. Breakfast was tasty, and the Pinon coffee was a deifinite sell (available in tiny styrofoam cups without lids), but it was unsettling that all "hot" (early-morning heated) and "cold" (theoretically chilled) items were only available at literal room temp by the time we ate them (9:15ish with breakfast advertised as being from 7-10). This would have been fine if there was a microwave available, but there wasn't.
Sage has advertised itself as " a concept" hotel through all the years we have passed it and thought of staying there.
We were excited to stay at this place because we had the impression it was special. The room itself was clean and in good repair. Breakfast was a nice idea, poorly implemented.
After being awoken early by police lights on the property (responding to some incident on property), though, with no discernable advantages or special things about this plance, there was nothing to separate this property from the Motel 6 down the street. Just a significantly higher cost.
We were satisfied, just not impressed.
