Beautiful views of the of the camel back mountain, gentle and friendly staff, hot weather, a refreshing pool, beautiful rooms are few of the things you may expect when you visit the Sanctuary. It was a good experience

Where do I begin?! This resort is an easy 10/10 (or 5/5 ). But whatever rating scale you choose it is an A . This experience has surely left me waiting for another visit.
I arrived at Sanctuary from Houston to celebrate my 40th birthday. I had no expectations other than a relaxing solo getaway. However, expectations were exceeded.
Any staff member I came in contact with was so pleasant (even the grounds workers were polite "Good morning" ).
The amenities, especially the Spa, PERFECT! I chose two treatments- Deep Serenity (full body exfoliation and yes I was nearly asleep during the session ) and the Hydrafacial (couldn't fight the sleep any longer ).
The offerings of wellness classes such as Sunrise Meditation, Meditative Stretch, Aerial Yoga with Sound Meditation, and Pilates added the perfect touch to my rejuvenation retreat (some were for a charge at a reasonable rate but most are free).
Now, on to the beautiful room I stayed in. The Casita King Mountain View exceeded what I thought. The photos on the website were enough to draw me in but being there it was all that I needed and more. I didn't even want to leave my room.
The captivating mountain view with an early morning rise and sunset, incredible! I set my own personal tranquil vibe and now this birthday trip has been the best birthday to date!
I have already decided to visit this resort again! Life is so busy but when you visit a place like Sanctuary you will leave better than you came.

We always love our stay at this resort
The only complaint we had was the AC unit was way too loud
Our favorite was the dining and pool side breakfast and lunch.

We were looking for a great relaxing vacation spot and this certainly met that criteria. Roomy and comfortable and just a great retreat when the day is over. Pool area was great and service was attentive. We loved having a parking spot and no need for valet for our rental car - parking next to your room was a terrific bonus.
Views around the property are spectacular being right up against Camelback.
Would recommend!

Food menu keeps changing. Priced like gourmet. However food is mediocre at best. Selections odd and not appropriate to time of day.
East pool is in poor condition with 2 torn umbrellas and broken tile.
Rooms are decent but dark. Good views however.
Priced equivalent to nearby 5 stars, but at least a notch or two below. Not a good value
Major deficit is the food. Bar does have great drinks.

I had a pleasant stay at the sanctuary, if I had any expectations it exceeded them. From the moment I arrived to my departure, I was welcomed and thought of. The property is beautiful and the location. I enjoyed my suite and everything that came with it. As an Arizona native, it was home away from home. Thank you to the staff and everything that you do.

We decided to do a mini staycation at Sanctuary and it didn’t disappoint. Such a nice property and amenities. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The dining options were very good with other restaurants just a short drive away. Our room was perfect. Clean and a very comfortable bed. It was also wonderfully quiet. We’ll definitely be back.

This is my third stay at Sanctuary. My first was for my birthday in 2019. Then, we came last year for our anniversary and again this year for our anniversary. My spa experience was excellent. All of the staff at Sanctuary gave 5-star service. The only thing I would change about this visit is the Elements menu. During past visits, we couldn't get enough of the food. It was superb! This year, we ate there only one time and it was okay. Although, the braised collard greens were exceptional, the rest of the meal was average. Additionally, we passed on brunch because they didn't have some of the traditional staples we've enjoyed in the past. Otherwise, another amazing experience at Sanctuary!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sanctuary Camelback Resort in Paradise Valley, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The resort is beautifully nestled against the stunning backdrop of Camelback Mountain, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere.
One of the highlights of my stay was the pool area. The pool is not only immaculate and spacious but also offers a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. Whether you want to lounge in a private cabana or take a refreshing dip, the pool area caters to all your needs. The ambiance is enhanced by the attentive poolside service, ensuring that drinks and snacks are never far away.
The restaurant options at The Sanctuary Camelback are equally impressive. Elements, the resort’s signature restaurant, provides an exquisite dining experience with a menu that creatively combines local ingredients with global flavors. Each meal was a culinary delight, and the stunning views from the restaurant added to the overall dining experience. The Jade Bar also deserves a mention for its vibrant atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails, making it a great spot to unwind in the evenings.
The staff at The Sanctuary Camelback Resort truly made the stay memorable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help. The level of service was consistently high throughout my stay, with every staff member going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

This property was fantastic ! Wish we stayed longer ! I didn't yet get to use the gym and exercise facilities. My only criticism would be the bar seating. We were waiting for a table and twice people came and cut in front of us and took the table. They should be a better way of doing this.

Stayed for four nights and enjoyed the views!! Views from our room and the property itself were spectacular. We also enjoyed the fitness center. Nice and accommodating. Also very clean!!
Plus we indulged in the bar and restaurant during our stay and had breakfasts, dinner, and enjoyed cocktails. Everything was great. Great staff and all were very friendly and kind.
We would definitely stay again. Couldn’t believe the location to Scottsdale where we always stay. This hotel is only minutes and about 3-3 miles within Old Town Scottsdale and many restaurants!!

Dropped in for a night, after a disappointing four nights at Four Seasons; stayed another day and night. I am not a fan of casitas, especially if you have to get a ride when none are there, but casitas are walkable distances. Friendly staff.
