Do not choose best western Jaco. There was no decent food except for limited fruit at the buffet. Everything was overcooked and bland. The bartender at one of the bars was very kind, and the only upside was the open bar. The hotel is outdated and if the A/C unit Isn’t keeping you awake then the music blasting until midnight will. When entering the hotel you feel like you have gone back 20 years in time and nothing has been maintained since. The A/C sounded like it was about to fall out and was so noisy and old. Not even with only the fan running could you stand to be in the room. The beds are very uncomfortable, and my room was crawling with ants. The key card for the room only worked every other time, so be prepared to go to the reception a lot to have the keycard updated. I would not go back here and would prefer a hostel over this hotel.

The hotel is close to the beach and to the Jaco main street. Our room was clean and it was ready early, which we appreciated. The check-in process took a long time because there was only one employee, and the key cards kept getting demagnetized no matter how hard we tried to keep them far from our phones so we had to go back to the check in counter quite a few times. Be aware that there is no à la carte restaurant and that the buffet is very limited and doesn’t vary much. They block access to the pools outside of opening hours (8 am to 8 pm) which considerably limits your ability to walk on the resort. Overall ok, but not a place I would go back to.

This hotel needs some serious updating. Our first night in the room was rough; unable to adjust the temperature in the room, it was very hot. We also had a leak in the bathroom and no one came to check it out. The beds were also uncomfortable; rock hard mattresses. We requested a different room the next day which was cleaner and everything was working fine. Front desk staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. The cleaning staff was very nice. The food wasn’t bad, only thing we didn’t have issues with.

We stayed 4 nights! Close to the strip, we walked everyday to the stores, bars and restaurants. The buffet had good options for the all inclusive food. No complaints!

It was nice, even though at check-in, they said I did not pay enough to get connecting rooms, and that would be extra. Or if I wanted to check-in early I could pay the girl 50 in cash. Besides that the people were friendly and nice at the bars, and dinning. Except when my sister found a hair in her lunch the second day we were there.

Pros: all-inclusive, they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between. Drinks are tasty. Right on the beach. We felt safe- there was security at both entrances. Cons: staff speaks poor english. The music is very loud and does not stop until midnight every day. The floors are very slippery throughout the property.

The property is conveniently located, just a 2-minute walk from the first shops in Jaco. We found it easily accessible and appreciated the helpful and kind staff who provided great service. However, we only explored Jaco in the morning and cannot comment on the evening atmosphere. The room itself was decent, but we did encounter an unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom. Despite the efforts of the maintenance person to fix it, the smell persisted. This was a disappointment. As for the food, being an all-inclusive Best Western, we expected a higher quality. Unfortunately, we found that the food was more focused on quantity rather than quality. The breakfast omelet was the only good part of breakfast and lunch was acceptable. However, dinner was quite basic and lacked variety. We stayed for four nights, and by the last night, we were not interested in eating the buffet food anymore. The fish options were limited, considering Costa Rica's abundance of delicious fish like tuna. The chicken was edible, but the beef steak had varying taste and quality. There was one night with a Chinese buffet, which provided some much-needed variety, but the other days had similar offerings. It seemed that other guests were satisfied with the food, as they were consuming it in large quantities. However, it did not appeal to us personally. If the food had been better, we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, as the service was truly excellent.

The staff is friendly in the facility is OK, but there is absolutely zero amenities. Nothing at all to do. The food has one restaurant and it is buffet. The extra money for the all inclusive is definitely not worth it. The only thing there is to do is to Walk to main Street downtown and there’s poor entertainment. The excursions are expensive and to be honest not worth it. I will say the one thing that me and was a tattoo parlor general One‘s name was Ramon. I got two tattoos about seven hours of tattooing for the cost that it would’ve been for 2 1/2 three hours here in the states . If you’re gonna go here, don’t go for anything more than two or three days because there’s little to anything to do for families. There was a few kids, but I would most definitely pick another place that is exceptionally more less expensive and yeah I wouldn’t recommend Jake at all to be honest.

The waiters and clerk Edgardo were wonderful, but the maid unpolite, disrespectful and woke us early in the morning for no valid reasons. The food bad, I cannot say I had a single good meal to remember. There was variety but tasteless, even for local dishes. I stopped coming here fir over 15 years and decided to give the hotel a second chance, however, food makes it not attractive at all

Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Front desk staff had horrible customer service. Lady with red hair and young lady with curly hair and glasses were rude throughout my whole stay. Bed sheets were stained. We had to request for new ones. No hot water. Walls were very dirty. Ants everywhere in the room. Food was ok. Waiters were nice. Lots of security.

Beautiful property. The staff cater to the Spanish speaking though. The rooms aren’t the cleanest. If you have allergies this may be difficult for you. Upon walking in our bathroom light kept flickering like a club, toilet stand broken. Despite these issues the property is very beautiful and the food is great. I just think for the costs of this place you can go else where.
