Third year in a row that we have visited Golden for the holidays and we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

No street parking after 2am. The $25 parking fee was a surprise.

The hotel was great. We enjoyed the southwestern styling of the rooms. The location is central to the main drag in Golden, and has a picturesque view of Table Mountain. The one down side was the $25 valet parking per day. We chose to street park (which was a bit tricky at times due to Golden’s regulations) and use the church deck nextdoor for a better rate.

Definitely the plus is location but honestly thought it was over priced for small rooms. Breakfast service was slow for the amount of people in there. I was excited to stay but left with just the feeling of eh

Close to Mines, right downtown and quite. We had a very comfortable stay.

Great location in downtown Golden which I loved. The only complaint I have is that the hotel had a heavy bleach cleaning smell. It could use some refreshing as it seems a bit dull. The rugs in the lobby felt old and dirty. Weird small bed pillows. Other then that it was a nice place to stay in Golden proper.

Great hotel, excellent location, good restaurant as well.

I found the hotel to be too expensive for what they offer. There was no gym, no pool, no breakfast included, and the price is comparable to much better hotels. The staff/reception was not always friendly, and the furniture, air conditioning, and carpet were old.

Perfect location for exploring the mountains and nature in the Denver and surrounding area. Easy commute into Denver if desired but very convenient to Red Rocks, Lookout Mountain, and the Lariat Loop. Golden is a great little town to explore and shop. Coffee at the Red Silo and dinner at Indulge were both great. The hotel allowed us to upgrade to a larger suite for no additional charge for our last 2 nights. Views of Table Mountain are awesome. Also take in the Museum at the Colorado School of Mines a short walk away. We made day trips to Breckenridge (1.5 hr drive) and Estes Park to see the Stanley Hotel and Rocky Mountain National Park (2 hr drive).

It was a fantastic and memorable stay! 10 out of 10 most definitely would recommend!

They are a nice hotel, they don't have a pool or a gym, but they do have free passes to a fitness center that is about 20 mins walking distance.
The junior room has a mountain view, which is amazing. They also have hot tubs, which is great.
As for food, there is a restaurant within the hotel and the food is decent.
There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel, and it gives the vibes of a nice little old town.

Big room and nice balcony. Staff was nice, parking is a little expensive for how much you’re already paying.

Is located in downtown Golden easy to walk to everything and has a great restaurant and friendly staff

I love this perfect spot. Only issue is that the a/c is quite loud. Turned it off during one Aug. stay, and kept husband awake on second stay. BUT! This is my favorite inn in the Denver metro area. Southwestly down to earth, well appointed and quietly elegant, very good restaurant /bar, and located right in the charming, historic downtown Golden. Reminds me of the famous Hermosa Inn in Phoenix, as well as the classy modest places in Taos and Santa Fe…only affordable.

Short drive to Red Rocks and in a nice quiet area. The restaurant had a nice outdoor patio and the food was very good. Late night bars/activity were limited, but stopped in at Ace-Hi Tavern down the road for a few drinks.

We had a wonderful time. The town has plenty of different places to eat and loved walking around the small town. If you are an active person or havor just want to relax there is plenty of thing to do.

Easy check-in, super-helpful front desk and valet parking attendant. The restaurant and bars were open late on Labor Day, which was great, although on the slow side. Clean room w/small fridge, decent tub and (loud) in-unit AC, lots of plugs and lights, black out curtains and sheers, comfortable mattress, fluffy comforter, decent in-room coffee setup, valet parking w/in & out privileges, and a place to store oversize items or luggage. Only real complaint is that the room was a bit noisy in the morning due to its location to the street and the inside hallway. Hotel is in a great location, and has a cozy lobby area. Overall great stay!

Everything was good close to walk where ever you wanted to go. Only thing I had a problem with is I’m a smoker and they take it to far at the hotel

If you can afford to stay here it is right in the middle of everything in Golden. Walk anywhere. For the age of the hotel it is in nice condition and the rooms are nice and clean. Maybe the bathroom could use an update. We ate at the restaurant and the food and drink was excellent. So was the service. We enjoyed the evening by relaxing on the patio. Overall a nice place that I would stay at again.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We opted to pay more for a king size bed room with a balcony. It was a bit pricey but was our favorite place that we stayed during our trip. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated with a southwest theme. Excellent Mexican restaurant with outdoor patio open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Huge portions so we would have liked to have a microwave in the room to warm up leftovers. There is a refrigerator, coffee maker and sink but no microwave. We loved having the balcony to sit out, have drinks, and watch the action on the street below. Also a fantastic view of Table Top Mountain and Coors Brewery. Parking is valet only (in and out privileges at any time) but can get quite expensive at $25 a day plus tips. The hotel is extremely convenient to walk to restaurants, shops, park, tubing, and the Coors Brewery tour. If we return to Golden, we would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was good except you had to pay $25 a night for parking. The restaurant attached was a nice lunch/dinner place but there is no breakfast anywhere on the property.

Love this place. Old time feel and comfy rooms. So convent to everything in downtown Golden.
4.0 / 5.0
The suite we reserved looked much bigger in the pictures. It was oddly configured and the bathroom was too small. However, the bed was very comfortable.
We were in town for a wedding that happened to coincide with Buffalo Bill Day in Golden which may have explained the high price for the room, but it seemed overpriced.
