Major repairs needed-my room didn't have working heat because of a bad pipe
Misrepresented as ski-in ski-out. actually need to take a shuttle to get to ski bases

Great traditional ski lodge.

Classic!

Retains the character that first brought me here 35 years ago. Food good, accommodations spartan and the bar hopping!!

Great vibe and amazing food. Location super convenient. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Old school in the best way

Great communal atmosphere. A little loud though, could hear people next room over as if they were in my room.

Great no frills ski option for all walks of life…rooms are small and a bit tired, great value and great culture.

Awesome loved the ski vibe and relaxed atmosphere

Female private room was clean and nice as it was just for two people. But this place isn’t super comfortable for women traveling alone. It is filled with older men on boys trips or who stay there longer term. Very few women around the facility. Communal meals are only large tables where a female traveling alone is expected to be the entertainment for men in their larger groups. There are no smaller tables where one can sit alone and read. Would not feel comfortable staying again as a female traveling alone.

The property is convenient to skiing but very outdated. The alpine rooms are small and in need of a major upgrade. No amenities in the room whatsoever - no tv, one set of overhead lights, one pair of outlets in the entire room, rooms were VERY warm at night with no ability to control individual room temps, Our shower wouldn’t drain and as they were unable to fix it we had to shower 2 doors down. The staff was very friendly and helpful but in an outdated property such as this, there was only so much they could do. Food was fine (not great) but we did find that eating every meal with others you didn’t know was sometimes not what we wanted to do. It would have been nice to have that option, but not expected at every meal. A good place if you truly just need a bed after a long day of skiing, but if you want any amenities whatsoever this may not be the place for you.

This is a ski world classic that should be in every skier’s bucket list.

If you're a true skier this place is great! The whole vibe is unbeatable.

This is a gem of a hotel. Certainly not the Ritz. But if you are a skier and want a really friendly place to stay, talk and be with other skiers this is the place.

Love this place - not luxurious, but that's not what we were looking for.

This is a classic old ski lodge. Ski shop and all your skiing needs are in-house. Classic all-inclusive meal plan. You are seated with different people each night for dinner. Rooms are rustic, but as expected for a building that was once an army barracks. The old school vibe can not be beat.

Everything was as good as it has always been. We greatly missed 'movie nights',fresh cookies in the main lobby at the end of a ski day, and while walking buy the front desk the staff no longer looks up and says 'have a great day'.

The Peruvian is an excellent ski lodge for people who love to ski. Skiing is great and the Peruvian is great.

The Alta Peruvian Lodge is a step back in time to classic early era ski culture. Resorts like these are hard to come by and it's an absolute treat to stay there. I can't wait for my next trip.

This is a great place for access to Alta and Snowbird. The facilities are a bit old, but it makes up for it with wonderful dining. However, dining is in groups. This made it really fun and friendly, but may not be for everyone. The bar is also quite fun and entertaining.

We gave the Peruvian a so-so review, but would be happy to go back.
The facility needs to be spruced up, yet it has ski lodge charm. The staff was friendly and helpful, yet it was under-staffed and daily maid service was unavailable. Seems like a lot of money for no service.
Our room was nice and clean when we arrived -- no issues at all there -- but kit seemed that the dishwasher was broken and some of the plates left out for use at the buffet were outright dirty -- food still stuck on -- disgusting. No hotel anywhere should ever allow that for more than a second -- yet that's the way it was for several days. That's pretty much breaking a cardinal rule of hospitality and reflects a lack of management care.
All that said -- I'm pretty sure that will NEVER happen again at Peruvian.
Love the family dining, location and apres ski pool situation -- along with lively bar

Its an old style ski lodge right at the base of the mountains… wonder location and view… every staff member we encountered was nice and helpful.. always professional.. they were experiencing a staff shortage like most businesses at the moment… the meals were good, available amenities were great.. we are already reserved again for next yr.. its a European style lodge.. seating for meals was family style so that was fun.. lunch and breakfast was buffet style. It was a lot of fun

Rooms are tiny and offer very few amenities. Not even enough room to dry ski clothing, etc. Very retro atmosphere with communal dining. Property definitively needs an update, especially with exorbitant prices they charge

Friendly staff. Great location. Older property but well maintained. All-in food option worked perfectly. Will go again for sure.

This place is THE BEST. If youre thinking about coming to Alta and looking for the right place to stay, do yourself a favor and stay here with Patrick Pike, and his wonderful team.

Great job by the staff during intense avalanche lockdown period

Not fancy, but the perfect stay for your ALTA Ski get away. The staff went above and beyond. My wife injured herself on the ski hill, which required a visit to the medical clinic and an all day stay in the lodge. The staff completely took care of her, made sure she was comfortable and provided transportation to and from the clinic. Thank you.

Ski lodge. Full dining included with a great food (a lot of it). Good service! Need to walk to a ski lift (but they provide a ride to families if needed. thank you!). You can hear your next door lodgers well, good luck with quite ones! Overall, a great ski lodge!

Everything works for the skier here. Food and common devotion to skiing reigns here. Old fashioned, extremely comfortable, even if in a dorm like room. It just works.

The lodge was perfect. Everything you need, nothing you don’t. Food was really scrumptious and there was way too much of it!!! Can’t wait to go back with my whole family next time.
