Got everything wrong in the resteraunt that could go wrong on my wifes special birthday treat. Breakfast was cold on cold plates and servicd charge is discretionary not mandatory
4.4
A first class stay with staff who care

We stayed here for our wedding in Eastbourne. The staff were amazing and they were always more than happy to make our stay extra special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time down by the coast, thank you!
4.4
Good font desk staff to help me checked in, it was very smooth.

A beautiful hotel in a great location. Very impressive
imposing building. Loved the outdoor swimming pool and the spa. Live music and singer in the evenings was a bonus! Doesn’t quite meet 5 stars for me though, perhaps 4 star more appropriate. Had to chase up for bath towels. One tiny bar of soap between the two of us for 4 days, cleaner left duster in our room, had to chase up toast at breakfast etc. Upon arrival we were allocated what must be one of their worst rooms - very small overlooking roof! Asked to change room and was allocated a better one quite promptly. Inside the hotel needs a refresh. It got very warm and stuffy in dining room and in bedrooms which don’t have a balcony.
4.4
Great hotel amazing facilities the outside pool was divine like a bath felt like we were on holiday. Great value for exceptional stay!
Cannot fault this hotel we will be back thank you

The Grand is one of our favourite hotels and again lived up to expectation.
4.4
Great stay at The Grand Eastbourne.
Huge room, friendly professional staff, great service, good cleanliness everywhere. Staff overheard that it was our anniversary & they kindly left a card & chocolates in our room.
Lovely stay!
4.4
Whilst this hotel is expensive it’s a truly lovely experience to step back in time with the traditional decor and service, comfortable, clean rooms with both an indoor and outdoor pool, breakfast offers great variety, quality and service, dinner menu looks great for adults but not really for children.
4.4
Excellent hotel - both facilities, food and drink.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
4.4
It was a terrible experience
Cleanliness was really bad, suffered from dust all over
And dirty floors.
Food was awful, asked for veal and it was fried with fish oil, i am allergic to fish and had to ask them to chance, sadly it came back the same plate only took off the bread crumbs that covered it.
Bath room cleaning and carpet are awful
Over priced
Need really to file a complaint
Can someone contact me regarding this matter

Lovely place to stay!

Our stay was most enjoyable - we only had two observations: the first was that it was surprising that our room did not have air conditioning. The weather was very hot and we certainly needed it. The second was that it was odd to have to book an exact breakfast time. When on holiday it's nice not to set an alam and to get down to breakfast whenever ready!

Amazing stay as ever thanks

Would really like to see the Brasso applied !

Welcoming, many there,but plentyof space
4.4
Everything is good, but in the lobby the furniture is quite old and not in good condition
4.4
Room was not ready for 3pm check in and spoilt our stay from the start
4.4
Lovely hotel. Old but well maintained. Lovely staff, room / stay was good one. Will stay there again.

There were lots of spider webs on the outside of the windows as well as no air conditioning. The view is gorgeous. The staff were nice, but the food was just okay. The fire alarm had a false alarm while we were there at 1:30 am. That was not fun. We left early because we couldn't sleep after that.

My second time visiting The Grand, a lovely, pleasant homely and cosy stay. Friendly, polite and efficient hotel team. My room was very comfortable, love the pillows! The food was spot on as always and the pool facilities were wonderful to use. I will be coming back!

Going back in time. Grand in name and grand in nature.

beautiful! great breakfast!

5 star luxury as you would expect.
4.4
A lovely hotel and staff are always helpful and polite. Great to have air conditioning in the bedroom during the hot weather spell and the outside swimming pool was very welcome.

i booked a hotel for a anniversary which cost me 530£ in which it was a junior suit with spa and pool facilities available. However upon arrival we were informed that the pool is closed for refurbishment. This is very out of order as if I knew this I wouldn’t have booked this hotel for that price

Spacious room and en suite, staff attentive, good location, beautiful building.
4.4
We were given a room that faced an indoor dirty area . We could not open the windows and the room smelled moldy.
The hotel location is great and breakfast was very good but the room was terrible.
4.4
Amazing gem of a hotel and the most lovely staff. We needed a pair of connecting rooms, and one room for my elderly uncle and aunt with an easy access shower. Both requests were readily met with no fuss, which we really appreciate. I would not hesitate in booking another stay here!
4.4
Wonderful stay, staff very attentive and helpful, superior room was fresh and clean, breakfast was excellent.
Would definitely stay again

Arrived and checked in easily. Room was very large and comfortable but decorations rather old and tired. Bed rather small for a room of this size. Nice sea view. Ate in Mirabell one night and was excellent cooking - definitely worth a visit
4.4
Traditional proper British hotel. Given interior room without ability to open blinds- somewhat dark. But overall it was “an experience “. At 65 years old, we were the youngest in the hotel!!!
Excellent breakfast!
4.4
Check in staff member was not welcoming and said every 5 star hotel insisted on payment upfront making us feel perhaps we had never stayed in one before! The room was probably fit for 5 stars in the 70’s but not today. A tiny tv, broken blinds on windows that needed painting, an old style shower curtain and two single beds pushed together with a very large gap down the middle.
Dinner choice and quality also would have been great 40-50 years ago, we were typically English and just carried on but the American on the next table did not stay which was probably the right thing to do.
There were a couple of positives, the bar staff were friendly and breakfast staff and food were good.
We would not return.
4.4
Breakfast service was very slow, but otherwise a lovely stay.
4.4
Poor condition
4.4
A lovely hotel, with some really great staff and facilities to make your stay a good one! A Grand Hotel in every sense of the word, with outdoor and indoor pool, fitness and beauty facilities, two restaurants, a lovely bar area and main hallway too! What’s not to like? We will definitely be back!
4.4
Old fashioned Grand hotel with old fashioned excellent service. A porter greeted us, found a parking space and swept our bags away to our room. Reception courteous and helpful. Nothing too much trouble for dining room staff. Garden Restaurant food quality excellent
4.4
A wonderful stay at the grand with attentive staff who are friendly and approachable especially Tony at the main entrance to the hotel who is a great asset to the team by being very courteous and helpful at all times
The executive room was very spacious and had wonderful views looking out to sea from all angles the bed was very comfortable and gave us both a good night's sleep
The breakfast was exceptional with a wide choice of fresh fruits pastries smoked salmon and various cold meats with a choice of fresh juices and teas the cooked breakfast was again unfaultable with eggs cooked to your preference with perfection and accompanied by endless tea and coffee all served in silver pots and jugs!
We used the swimming pool and steam room and had a wonderful experience spoilt with lovely laundered bathrobes and complimentary slippers will definitely stay again xx

It was really relaxing and comfortable, great restaurants, indoor pool and cocktail bar. Walking distance from the pier and the towner gallery. The staff were all extra helpful and friendly. We loved it.
