We had a great night as a couple. In fact, one night wasn't enough to experience everything the resort has to offer. Would recommend the signature package if you want a quieter experience. Staff in all parts of the hotel we used were excellent. We will certainly return, in fact we were planning our next stay whilst lounging in the health club.

I paid £240.00 for the single room. 1 person. The room was big and clean. There were 2 major issues. I could not open the balcony door and the commode water was keep leaking all night.
Long queue for the breakfast which was otherwise good.
Christmas party dinner was awful.

Room clean, comfortable and very roomy. Very good breakfast. But the hotel wants you to do everything with an app, and sends multiple messages which grate after a while.

Pillows were lumpy and room wasn’t as nice as previous.
Service was slow and pre drinks not on table and took a while to sort.
Food was adequate.
I’m afraid this time around it wasn’t worth the money paid.

I booked a superior room but was given a deluxe . I prefer a double bed as I was alone. What I thought I booked was not what I got.

My only negative was the £20 car park fee for 1 night.

An excellent hotel, with great service, a good range of places to eat and an amazing room. Looking to go back next year.

Very clean room
The spa was a little disappointing but overall very nice place to stay

Absolutely amazing stay. From the start when we entered the hotel until the end. Amazing comfortable room, perfect food and loads to do for families. Pool is a must visit if you are holidaying there. Great inspirations for Halloween decoration - which our daughter found very inspiring and interesting. We hope to come back again hopefully for longer then 2 days.Special thank you to great team and amazing service from concierge and restaurant. Great welcome and help from Mrs Jarmila Kubicova. She gave us loads of tips to visit around the Newport. Thank you again.

The stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing. I was really disappointed with the food at the Pad. I had called over a week before to make a booking and told them my dietary requirements. I was told that someone will get in touch if they need to. When I went down for my food they said there were no details on record.

Hotel was good room was very hot. Which wasn’t great . The staff was friendly even though I had tomato sauce splash over the back of my clothes and trainers. They was apologetic. But accidents happen. It was great having a singer in one bar and a dj in another.

Not very suitable for a girls away spa break due to limit of 45 minutes in pool area using facilities!!!!! We expected a full day of relaxation and pampering. Also the 2ndpool offered has no loungers or space for relaxation- it felt like a functional pool for the golfers and gym heads to cool off not a relaxation space at all. The sauna also want working. The activities offered were extremely limitedso we couldn’t do any of those either… it also wasn’t relaxing having to schedule everything with bookings- every meal had to be booked in advance … definitely not a pamper spot at all.

Love the comfort of the Celtic manor. Rooms are great WiFi is strong for work. However I ordered room service and the food was freezing. Have eaten in the room before and was lovely. This time I ended up eating it stone cold as I don’t like to complain to have to wait again for food as I was hungry.
Will stop again but will probably go out for food next time

No water or any drinks in the fridge in the room and no shower cap.

I booked this as a weekend stay for my Wifes birthday. When we arrived it was very impressive and the room was nice too. However, the first night wasn't the best as the bed was quite uncomfortable and the pillows compressed into someting similar to laying your head on a paving slab.
Breakfast the next morning was absolute carnage. It was like being in a motorway services on a friday afternoon. Not sure how they could remedy that though, maybe a bigger restaurant or use some of the other restaurants in site.
Second night we ordered room service. The meal arrived slightly cold and with only one set of cutlery. I called down to request more cutlery but it never arrived. I ended up eating a cold steak and chips with my fingers and a sticky toffee pudding with a teaspoon from the drinks making tray.
Then another poor nights sleep.
I mentioned the room service issue to the reception on checkout and they apologised and refunded the 2 main courses, but the whole meal was pretty much spoilt.
I can deal with the meal not being hot or the staff forgetting the cutlery, but not bringing any up after calling down was out of order.
It's an expensive hotel and should be better than this. Also, parking shouldbe free at these prices. After this experience i probably would look for somwhere else next time.

Great comfortable overnight stay.
Food a little bit pricey but there’s always a KFC down the road if you wish.

Large, supposedly 5 star, hotel that I’ve stayed at a few times.
Unfortunately this time the service was atrocious. Had to wait 2 hours fir food ordered in the bar. Later in the evening I asked for a glass of wine and was told it would take around 30 minutes.
Something really needs to be done. More staff perhaps? Not worth the money.

We booked into the signature rooms on the 6th floor and found the rooms to be very spacious and comfortable. The complementary wine and Welshcakes was a nice touch as was the complementary glass of Prosecco and cakes at the signature lounge (between 4pm - 6pm). We had a light lunch in Merlin’s Bar and was enough to tie us over until dinner (the price was good too). We booked into Steak on Six for dinner (set price of £75 for 3 courses and bread) and the food was excellent. The portions weren’t huge but they were very flavoursome and our steak was cooked to perfection. As it was a Saturday night we ended it off back in Merlin’s bar to listen to the artist and enjoy a few more drinks. Because we were staying in the 6th floor, this entitled us to eat breakfast on this floor rather than trek downstairs to the Olive restaurant which was much quieter and easier. The breakfast was amazing. Throughout our stay every member of staff was courteous and helpful. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and look forward to going back in December.

Celtic manor is always a good stay. Great facilities, amazing food/breakfast etc

A great hotel with good facilities
Quality breakfast and classey

Certainly not a 5* Resort. Whilst facilities may be up to the required 5* standard the service and food quality was very poor. Management not particularly interested in resolving issues and lack any interest or desire to provide a quality service. Food quality very poor especially in the Twenty 10 Club House. Suggest you consider the Belfry for a more relaxing golfing resort experience.

Lovely nights stay with my partner, it was raining so didn’t do much apart from use the signature lounge and pool but was very impressed with both, the lounge had a comfortable relaxing vibe and the pool had so many other facilities such as steam room and sauna.

Check in was as you would expect.
The room looked great, until I entered the bathroom, thick layer of dust on the door panelling, a clump of bodily hair in the washbasin plug.
The handle for opening the window was broken, I really struggled to open the window.
Does a hotel of this standard really need to charge £20.00 / night, parking.
The group has a low cost brand called "Ty" hotels, by far better value for money, and offers free parking.

Friendly, efficient staff. Customer service excellent. I left my luggage at the Concierge as it was too early to check in. When I went to check in, I was informed that my luggage had already been taken up to my room. Over and above expectations ! Comfortable bed, light , airy room with a lovely view. Amazing breakfast with lots of delicious food to choose from !

Weather of course matters staying at the resort, and thankfully , the one evening we stayed , we were able to walk thru part of the grounds, and enjoy the surrounding area, there is also the resorts transport to take you from the main resort to different restaurants within the grounds, and bring you back, which was very pleasant and enjoyable, this was our third visit over the years and did not disappoint. Thank you .

Great hotel, but restaurants are overpriced for what they offer.
Breakfast is also a bit too crowded with slow service.

Excellent hotel 5 Star! A wonderful hotel with everything you need! Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Spa facilities were top notch! Definitely will be returning.

Such a grand venue with sporting significance really created a sense of anticipation and i was not disappointed. My qualifying criteria for a good overnight stay relies heavily on the washroom, the bed and the breakfast.
The shower was marvellous with wonderful decor and finishes. I slept much better than i normally do away from my own bed and the dining options for breakfast were plentiful with top notch ingredients used.
The staff were very helpful when it came to parking and the only drawback was when i was looking to check out from the top floor, only 1 of the 3 elevators available was in operation.

The underground car park was disgusting.
Very, very dirty and unpleasant. Unbelievable to ask hotel patrons to pay an extra £20 a night to park there, having paid so much for a room and then to provide a parking area in such a filthy and disgusting state
Lifts in the hotel are very poor. Extremely slow and when they came they were often full.
Only two of the three lifts were working, but even if all three were working, three lifts are too few for this size hotel.
Bathroom facilities were very disappointing. No flannels provided, very, very basic wash items provided, We have had better bathroom facilities in hotels less than half the price of Celtic Manor. The toilet roll dispenser was broken. We were very disappointed with our stay considering the cost and its rating.
