We stayed at the Sandman Vancouver Airport for the Taylor Swift concert on the 8th. We were there 3 nights. We were totally taken advantage of as far as pricing goes - we paid a little over $500 a night for a mediocre, grimy room. The lobby is in nice condition but the room was t. The pillow cases were dingy and had yellowed. The carpet was grimy and didn’t feel clean to walk on barefoot. The baseboards and corners of the rooms were dirty and the furnishings were scratched and dated. The photos on the website make the rooms appear decent but they are definitely not. I appreciated the gift basket they left in the room but considering they charged an outrageous amount for the stay, the basket was almost like a laugh in our faces because we felt taken advantage of. The front desk staff was nice enough but nothing out of the ordinary. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

We had a great experience with our one night in town for the Eras tour. First we arrived an hour before check in and they got us into a room. We enjoyed that they were playing Taylor Swift in the lobby! When we got to the room, we found a nice note and gift basket welcoming us- very unexpected and appreciated. They informed us that the hotel shuttle could take us to the train station at the airport for free so we could catch the train downtown. We ordered dinner from Moxie's and took it to the room to eat. Everything was delicious!!! There's a fridge in room, so we could save our leftovers. The next morning we enjoyed the pool which was wonderful and picked up some coffee in the lobby. After check out we had brunch at Moxie's, and again enjoyed everything we got. Thanks for a perfect stay!

There are 2 Sandman Hotels in Richmond. Confusing as to which one we were staying at. Shuttle bus driver (at airport pickup) must have had a bad day. Not very friendly. Room was supposed to be 1 queen. We got 2 doubles. (It was a late check-in, and we had been travellly over 24 hours, so didn't bother trying to correct this. Restaurant at hotel does not open until 8 AM. Too late for us. Shuttle bus back to the airport was different driver. Much friendlier and amaible.

Hotel had a great location in terms of getting to key areas for food, shopping, and convenience to the airport. Overall a good stay, but the rooms and the hotel, in general, was a little more outdated than the hotels in its direct vicinity. The staff was very kind and professional. The hotel does have a pretty popular restaurant on property, so parking may be tight at certain hours, but was able to find parking most of the time.

It was a good stay but room service was bad. I placed an order of water and coffee to be brought up to my room. I plaved an order at 9.30 but came at 11pm. They complimented the whole order and a voucher.

Staff are very nice and polite. Upgraded rooms for free. 5 star on that. Cleanness is ok, above average. Conditions has a bit noise but acceptable. Not a very nice looking place but considering the price it is worth. Overall it is recommended. Has convenient location and also has free airport shuttle bus.

So this hotel doesn't provide any complimentary drinking bottles like other hotels. They have vending machine and they expect you to buy your bottles from there. They don't even have any kitchen of their own and wanted to you order from the nearby hotels Moxie's at any time of the day which serves very expensive food. I tried calling the reception 4-5 times during my 2 day visit but no one answered the phone. I had an injury on my leg but still i had to walk down all the way to the reception to had my questions answered. The room was also old and worn off from inside . The towels were also old and there were wrappers in the drawers from the previous customer.

Was supposedly upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette got there and their Bathtub had a rim of scum, was really dirty, requested to be cleaned but was not any cleaner. Very dissapointed with their standard of cleanliness. Would rather have no upgrade but a cleaner room
