It was good for family with two kids. Property is old but Clean and plenty of room for family of 4. Near beach with walking distance. Only they dis not let us park until 5 at the checkout day where they had plenty of room in the parking cause us some trouble relocating the car.

Not very happy with the front desk ladies. I had called them to double check if I can get a balcony ocean view with my room. I was told I need to book than call them back. I had gone ahead and booked than I did call her back (right aways!). She remebered me calling and asking. She had told me she has openings and I am set for a balcony room. I get to the hotel. Get in early which is great but when I got to my room there was NO balcony. I called down to the front desk to ask them. They had not lied to me once but also lied to me again when they told me I was already booked for a balcony and wasnt. Than said they had none open which was a lie. Than told me it coast extra a night for a balcony room. That information never was told over the phone. This hotel needs new / better front desk ladies. Other than the lies the hotel was great. The beds were comfy. The housekeeping was also very rude. Its a shame its such a nice hotel with ignorant employees.

Our stay was amazing! We arrived early and the staff allowed us to use the amenities and even got the room cleaned so we could check in early. Our room had an amazing view of the ocean from the bedroom and balcony. It was the perfect view to wake up and go to sleep to. The TV was huge and the couch bed was very comfy for our kids and even had enough room for me to snuggle up and watch a movie with them. The game room wasn't the greatest, since two of the five games weren't working right, but the staff had one of the fixed by the next day. We also played pool, which was fun. They also had crafts for kids and adults at noon and 3pm everyday, which was nice. They had a nice area for the crafts with a lovely lady named Joanna helped my children make bird houses and shark necklaces. The crafts were very good quality. I loved that the beach was just steps away. It was easy for our family to go back and forth with ease. A major plus was the free coffee the Ocean key lets guests use until 10am everyday. It has a wide variety of coffee and add ons, so you can take your coffee to the beach and watch the waves or to the Bayside walkway and watch the wildlife while enjoying coffee and both are steps away from the hotel. All the staff were so nice and helpful. But my family's favorite part was the the pizza shop Roma Pizza right on the ground floor. The pizza was so good. The sauce, the huge slices and the great service. It only took minutes to get our food and you can sit inside, outside

The property was in better condition than the previous visit. My bathroom or shower was not in good condition because the water came out in the shower head and at the faucet handle. The staff was much nicer than in the past. Although I asked for a balcony, I had an interior room.

The unit we stayed needs a major renovation. Bathroom is old and rusty. Beds are terrible every year we go to VA beach and this year is the worst we had. I was not able to sleep. You can feel the spring of the bed I can't wait to go home. Hallway stinky smells like dead fish and so filthy a lot dirt and no one is cleaning. Elevator stinks so bad. We did not have internet connection on the for the whole time we stayed. The only good thing is the area dn people working are nice. They even call me to attend a time share seminar. I will never buy a time share whith this kind of place never. I will never come back.

The day we checked in there was an issue w the room we were assigned. The guy helping us tried to ask his coworker for help and she was just nasty w him. The 2nd night i called for fresh towels and wash clothes (i put old in hallway, assuming they would replace) after 30 minutes still nothing. I went to the front desk to ask for them and she gave me towels but no wash clothes. The pool is nice but isnt closed in so the humidity is the whole area. The elevators are so slow. This place overall was ok but we will probably look elsewhere for our next stay in VB.

Bad: 1. The AC system seems to warm up during the evening around 530pm and does not cool back down until late into the night close to midnight. 2. The pool water looks like it needs to be filtered or cleaned as it appeared slightly creamy and murkey in color 3. Two out of four of the days that we stayed there, there was construction going on in the room directly below ours, therefore we could not stay in late and were forced to go out for relief from the drilling and hammering. 4. The rooms floor was quite sandy when we arrived. Weve stayed at other hotels near beaches and this has never been something we immediately noticed on the first day. Good: 1. The staff are awesome, really nice, and friendly. 2. The location is much calmer and classier than closer to 21st street. 3. The amenities in the hotel room were also nice and well kept. Overall I have to limit my review to an overall 2 stars because of the listed complaints. They really hindered us having a relaxing stay. Otherwise, the hotel has potential to be a great vacation spot if these complaints are addressed.

It was a great location and a wonderful room. There were 2 downsides: 1) due to a watermain break it knocked out all the individual room ACs and instead of notifying us we had to notify them. Thos created a HUGE humidity level in the entire hotel and our room was set on 68* and was at 75* when we returned at the end of the night. They said it was all fixed they just had to go into the rooms to take 3 min to reset. Imo they should have done that proactively instead of waiting for us to all get back and then call. 2) it would be nice if there was a Swiffer or broom provided as we brought sand in and it was EVERYWHERE when we tried to walk around. 3) the pool was incredibly cloudy, I understand one can't pop it chemicals in during the day due to people using it but then it needs to be on the nighttime crews list.

Hopefully, the bathroom will be updated during the off season. It was fully functional, but showing its age. Our one bedroom suite was perfect for the two of us. Our family had space to sleep six. The suite was great, but their view was not. Oh well. Resort is comfortable walking distance to ocean and trolley is across the street. Yes, I’d stay again.

The room was great, and had everything tlyou could thinknof, staff was super friendly and polite. Pizza place was attached to lobby, was good, and very convenient. The pool was nice, it was just small and indoors - but i guess it worked out for late nights and rainy days. Parking garage is awful for large SUVS unless you are an excellent driver and even better at parking.

Over all location was great. Staff were friendly. The complimentary coffee was broken or no creamer for most of the week. Pool was out of commission for 2 days. The beds were absolutely horrible. The doors leading to the balcony were extremely difficult to open. The fitness center was never clean it had chips and dirt over the floor the entire time. Walls seemed paper thin you could hear everything going on outside.

My family and I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed the close proximity to the boardwalk and a short 20-minute drive to Sandbridge, where it is a lot more peaceful. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Even though there was nothing glaring about our room, we definitely needed to scrub our bathroom, which we did. The bed was clean, but not comfortable. The pull-out bed for my daughter was questionable, but the linens were clean, and she had no issues sleeping. The elevator was the slowest ever. For my capable family, we just took the stairs. When we moved in and out, we were able to use the elevator effectively because it was a little bit faster during off times. The parking is available but a bit tight, depending on the size of the vehicle. There are quite a few concrete barriers. The hallways really needed to be vacuumed. There was a mess when we arrived, and it was still there when we left. The rooms and the hotel itself was fairly quiet, but the outside noise is quite loud. Our corner room felt like we were on the street at times from the bedroom. Having said that, we were so tired from the day that we weren't too bothered. All in all, it was a decent stay for us for two nights. We likely would not have made it a full week.
