Great price but run down and old. Parking lot was dirty and trashy and strewn with discarded furniture. Room was large with a huge and unwanted jacuzzi tub. Room was a little dirty and roaches were present in my sister’s and my room. We were told that our rooms would be adjacent to each other, but we were placed far apart even though we arrived 4pm. That wasn’t good at all and started the 5 day vacation off in a less than ideal manner. Beach was a bit of a walk. Nice park next door with doggy area. The hotel staff were very loud in the morning.

My stay was good. The whirlpool or jacuzzi was not working properly. It needs to be fix in order to consider my stay as excellent.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They Jack the price up 25 plus dollars just because of the SpaceX launch. Our AC went out we are locals we could care less about a launch we just needed that motel room. We will not go back they didn't have extra blankets the beds were hard as plywood the pillows were hard the refrigerator you had to struggle to get it open. Also the light sockets when you plug something up they fell out except for the USB ports I'll never stay there again and I've stayed at ramadas in my travels and this is by far the worst and never again. Found a roach also

Luis was awesome ! Made us breakfast and gave us info on surrounding areas

Staff at front desk very good. Breakfast was your waffles and cereal with muffins. The room was large and spacious. Free ice and encouraged us to fill cooler too for our trip. My only hang up was sand in the bed. I understand Texas coast line but felt weird. I questioned if sheets had been changed.

We went mainly for pool and hot tub. The pool water was dirty and the hot tub was not hot at all.

We stayed in a very convenient efficiency bedroom and spent most of our time at the pools downstairs. Main pool was perfect temperature and clean. Kiddie pool was too cold & murky but my kids played anyway. Wish the hot tub was working too. Regardless, our family loved every minute of it! Missed out on the continental breakfast that ended at 9:30 but that also looked like an easy dine in option for those seeking to save a buck. Oh, there’s a very nice public park with swingset pavilion covered bball court and skatepark right next door to hotel. Overall, a fantastic pick for a family with young ones

We enjoyed our stay. Especially the balcony. We were able to sit and enjoy the cool breeze and some fireworks.

It worked for me. I had my two dogs, no extra charge. You are near the beach, but must drive to a public entrance. Shopping is only souvenir shops with same stuff. Hotel is on north side of island. Far South Padre beach you pay to go thru.
Hotel was quiet and easy to access.

This place is definitely one of those “you get what you pay for”. We stayed for a weekend (Fri-Sun). The pictures on the site are a bit misleading. First room they put us in had a moldy smell and roaches, when one crawled on my arm at 2am I called the desk to have them change us or somehow rectify the situation (we would have just left but family was coming in the next day & it was too late to go find another room somewhere else). The gentleman at the desk (did not get his name) was not rude and helped us get into another room that surprisingly had just a slight mold smell and did not have any bugs. We decided to make the best of it and enjoy the rest of our stay. I would not stay here again

The staff were all very nice. Breakfast was good, but would be better if they had things like bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Breakfast is mostly waffles and a selection of cereals, pastries, etc.
Room was very spacious and the beds were surprisingly comfortable.
The hotel parking lot is connected to a beach access walkway, so it's just a quick walk down to the beach! Convenient souvenir shopping nearby and an easy enough walk to some nearby restaurants.
Room didn't have a tub stopper or an ice bucket.

Not enough parking spaces. House keeping never came by.

This property needs to be condemned! The room smelled dingy, the drain in the bathtub and sink did not drain, the vent in the bathroom didn't work and that's probably why they have mold growing! We saw a few roaches come from underneath the door and so we asked to be moved. Henry, the night clerk put us in a room with no jacuzzi and promised that the day manager would make sure our room was switched back to one with a jacuzzi, which is WHAT WE PAID FOR. In the morning I called the front desk and spoke to Henry, the front desk manager. He was unsympathetic, very rude, and refused to accept any responsibility for putting a family, with an 8 month old, in a mold and roach infested room. Furthermore he lacks customer service skills and Ramada should consider firing him! He refused to put us back into a room with a jacuzzi and thought that he would make it all "better" by giving us HALF of the cost of the room with the jacuzzi! And finally, the view in the room we were placed into was blocked by construction debris and also had a dingy/moldy smell. We ended up leaving to another hotel down the street, check it out (Best Western)!
I highly recommend you STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!

The staff were very nice and the property was conveniently located with nice amenities and beach access. The restaurant at the hotel was super good. The building was older than i was expected and there was a pair of underwear left from a previous guest in the closet, which was a bit concerning but the room was otherwise clean.

The guests were allowed to stay in the pool, playing their loud music until well past "Quiet Time" as indicated on a sign next to the lobby front door and in several locations thought the property. The guests directly above our room sound like they were having an Elephant Parade or they were fighting and throwing furniture lthis started at about 9PM and lasted until about 1:30AM. The guests next door turned the handicapped parking into a jump rope contest for the kids while 9 or 10 adults watched and cheered them on. I called the front desk at about 11:30PM and they told me to call the local police and that they were calling the police as well. Seriously? We were unable to go to sleep until after 1:45AM. The only positive thing was the man that cooked the waffles each morning. He was very nice and he sang to each guest as he cooked their waffle.
At $170/night we definitely expected better. We go to South Padre Island, TX at least 4 times every year and will NEVER stay there again or at any Ramada anywhere!

Over all the property is family friendly and convenient. I did enjoy the large amount of families that where there and the staff was super friendly. The beach access is a plus. The rooms were a good size and the bed was comfy but the tub was rusted on the outside bottom part. Breakfast in the morning was nice and the attendent was great. Our small kitchenette had pots and pans available for use, which was a nice suprise. Having a park next to it is a great advantage. My boys enjoyed skateboarding and playing basketball there. However, the beach shower was broken the whole time we were there and there was a lot of trash around the back of the property as well. There was a large shipping container in the parking lot where the walk to the beach access is and the lights to the walk way were not working making it very dark at night to walk to and from the beach. But they also had furiture tarped up like they were working on the hotel. Can't wait to see what they are working on.
Overall, We would definitely stay again!

Tony the front desk agent went above and beyond! The front desk agent wearing a necklace with the name of America. Needs a bit more training, in the past I have worked in hotel front desk. And I was always trained NOT to give out guest room number they all need better training also the skinny guy working front desk Saturday he isn’t to friendly.

We booked an efficiency room. Upon arrival, there were no rooms available. We had to choose a different room.
Last night we were there, we went to the front desk for plates and utensils. Front desk clerk acted like we were interrupting his fun time on his phone. He was irritated and it took him two times to fill our request because he wasn’t listening. Thru the whole episode, he never said one one word to us. When we walked out he sat back on the couch to play on his phone. Upon checkout, I asked to speak to the manager on duty. I was told there was none. But a manager would be available tomorrow at 9am. I told clerk I was leaving a review on here she just said ok.
I’ve stayed here many times in the last year. Not going back anymore.

This Remada was older and it showed but they were updating. Our first room had a kitchenette and roaches. They were agreeable and moved us to another room. No roaches. Everything was clean and smelled good. The staff was friendly. The hotel has a direct path to the beach. The pool is not big enough for the number of rooms the hotel has. If basic and nothing fancy or new is good for you then you will be happy.

Had a great experience, perfect location, traveling with kids it was great that the park was right next door with basketball courts and playgrounds. Access to beach was perfect and even had an area to rinse before returning to rooms. Overall would recommend. Pool was great as well!
