Clean and nicely presented but staff weren’t warm or understanding of simple requests. We asked for an extra pillow to be brought to our room which never arrived. We asked for decaf tea at breakfast to be brought caffeinated tea. Real shame.

What a gem of a hotel. Fabulous room and such a comfy bed. Bathroom was lovely and the show was epic!
4.6
The only thing I would say is that the mattress needs a topper as I could feel the springs in my back. The staff and hotel are fabulous. Sort the beds and it’s 5 stars.
4.6
Would recommend to stay here. Good location, close to tube and shopping and restaurants.
4.6
Friendly and helpful staff with a quiet and cozy room. The a/c in the room was also great as the weather was incredibly hot during my stay.
Close to public transport, shops, restaurants, etc and the Royal Albert Hall which was my reason for staying.
4.6
The hotel had real character, staff friendly and helpful, well decorated and maintained. 5 out of 5.

safe and great area

The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel and room were spotless and the location is ideal for dining, museums and the underground is only a couple of blocks away.
4.6
The property is beautiful, impeccably clean and the staff were very professional.
4.6
Great location, easy access, options around for every taste.
4.6
Beautiful property with attentive, personable staff. Hotel is beautifully and smartly decorated. Loved staying in Kensington. Right next door to the Natural History Museum , Victoria and Albert museum. Short walk to Kensington Park and Kensington Palace. We’d definitely stay here again !

Used to be a very good hotel with great service, now not the case. Staff upon check in were rude. Room had nothing but 2 towels. Overall hotel appears to be becoming run down from what it once was. floors dirty and walls all marked and dirty. very disappointed!!!
4.6
Hotel looks stylish and is very clean. We booked our room last minute, at a discount. Our room, was very small (basement room 3) and situated below the breakfast room. There were loud noises (chairs scraping) coming from above from 6am onwards, which is not good on a weekend morning. When mentioned to reception it was suggested we book a different (higher priced) room next time.
4.6
It’s basically a bed and breakfast, nothing interesting in the area, nothing to do in the hotel but sleep, too pricey for what they offer. Breakfast is expensive and very average. Nothing to brag about.
4.6
Tiny rooms, difficult to use lifts. Good location, pleasant staff.
4.6
Staff, breakfast and room decor all great. Unfortunately we were placed in a basement room. It was explained to us that we had requested a quiet room with a particular bed size and that the only remaining room which met our criteria was in the basement. So if you don't like basement rooms, please be sure to clarify when reserving.Otherwise, our stay was good and the hotel is quiet. It is a lovely, historic property.

I was very pleasantly surprised. A great little boutique hotel, well situated and offers great value for money.
Woujd highly recommend

Wonderful, clean, well decorated.
4.6
The property has been sensitively and stylishly refurbished.
The staff were excellent.
Only downside, which is not their fault was there was some noise from adjacent building work.
4.6
The hotel is a modernised townhouse. It is well decorated. I was disappointed with the size of the room and the fact that it was in the basement. There was just about enough room either side of the bed to get in it, very small for a so called double room. There was a window which did let in some natural light, but very little. The house next door is currently being renovated so a fair amount of noise heard.
4.6
Very enjoyable nice sitting area nice reception area. The room is very spacious. Nice TV excellent bathroom and shower. Very happy with the experience.

I had a lovely stay at 54 Queens Gate. I stayed for one week. The location was convenient. The amenities met my needs. The staff were kind and welcoming. Everything was in good working order. The shower was remarkably good. My only suggestion would be to not charge your guests for the buffet. There really weren't enough options there to make it worth paying.
4.6
very nice place to stay if you like a nice quite place to stay . no real bar or restaurant but room was spacious with the loft bed area and large living room area.
4.6
Excellent location. Very cosy

This is a great spot near Hyde park and near 2 Underground stations. Lots of good restaurants just in walking distance!
4.6
The only downside of this property was the elevator shy. It didn’t help that we were on the third floor which is the floor the elevator didn’t work.
4.6
Excellent and comfy place close to the tube, busses, and museums. Felt very safe even at night in these neighborhoods.
4.6
Great hotel in a handy location for the museums, Albert Hall and Imperial College. Quiet, clean with helpful staff. My room was clean and warm with a good shower. Coffee and tea were provided. Perfect for a stay in the city.

Staff helped friendly and efficiently shipping coat left to our next hotel at another city.

Great room and excellent service. 10/10 would recommend

The last time we came to London we stayed in an area that didn’t always feel safe or convenient, so we had focused on Kensington for this trip. I think we nailed it with 54 Queen’s Gate. The hotel was clean, beautiful, in a great area, and run by really helpful staff. Luggage drop-off and checkin were easy, and every request we had was taken seriously and most were accommodated. The proximity to the Museum of Natural History, Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, and the Victoria & Albert Museum was a big plus, and two Tube stops were within easy walking distance for convenient use of the Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines. There was a great little food area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner nearby (we tried and loved Farm Girl and Comptoir Lebanais), and one night we popped into The Queen’s Arms for fish & chips and drinks. There were also convenience stores/small markets nearby (Boots, Waitrose, Tesco, M&S). As a group of women traveling, safety was really important and we never felt unsafe. The only (very minute) drawback was that the stairs can be a little loud if your room is under them. They are carpeted, so it was more of a dull thud as people walked down them, but the only time we really experienced that was as we were getting ready one morning, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, it was a great stay, and I will be looking for 54 Queen’s Gate again when I return to London!

We liked the small hotel very much and felt very comfortable. Its location is great, the beautiful parks are very near, the hotel is furnished very tasteful.
What really was annoying was the fact, that we ask for a babybed when booking which the hotel confirmed.
What we got was a babybed with no mattress, just a slatted frame on the bottom of the bed. The solution they offered was a thick blanket - life-threatening to suffocate for a baby of 8 month which can not move by itself yet!!!
If we had known, we would have chosen an other hotel! - they should not offer a babybed when they don't have a proper one!
Our baby had to sleep in our bed between us - so our nights, despite the really comfortable beds (for adults), were not very relaxing! Really a pity!

There was a hiccup during my first day. I found a long strand of hair on the pillow. I already complained about that here so I will not write about it all over again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel smelled lovely was clean throughout and well presented.
I felt relaxed from the moment I walked through the door.
All of the staff I encountered were polite welcoming and helpful.
My room (Flemming) was beautiful and the shower was amazing.
The location is perfect for the big meseums, the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington gardens & Palace, Harrods etc. There are two underground stations very close by.
I only have a two gripes, the first was that I found the mattress uncomfortable but that is down to personal taste, and secondly that there wasn't any soya milk in the room.

Enjoyed it!
