The staff were great friends and cordial, room clean and like that they clean every day, but they charge extra for A/C. The breakfast was ok, but they should change it every day, tired of rice/beans every morning.

The staff were excellent and breakfast was good, however, this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The room needs upgrading and my AC, which was right next to the bed couldn't be adjusted to get the cold air out of my face, because one of the parts in the opening was missing. Overall, excellent service and food, but amenities need upgrading.

Good: Nice hot water and great location. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, and seemed like nice neighborhood. Bad: Eventhough I entered 3 guests at Hotels.com, the hotel was only aware of 2. Anyway..$28 upcharge. Cleanliness..One of the blankets was stained/dirty. A few strands of hair on blanket, a/c drips (filter needs cleaning). Found food wrappers from previous guest and an unidentifiable small bug on the floor. Upon check out..Clerk had difficulty providing receipt. Finally after enough pushing, got one. Also, the light in the downstairs ladies room does not work. Hopefully these items get addressed.

Rincon del Valle was precise to our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is in a quiet neighborhood with a convenient bus stop 1 block away and walkable to restaurants and convenience stores. The breakfast was made fresh and a great start to the day. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful.

The hotel just need a little updates. All the personnel was wonderful, Help you all the time, after few day you think you are at home. Just a new towels will make the difference. Don Carlos at the restaurant made our trip fabulous

the staff led by Eric was very professional in manner and I felt based on my observance and personal interaction that all customers must be made to feel welcome and at home. I recently stayed at a Sheraton in Virginia. I can honestly say that Eric and his staff could match their skills against the big boys.

The only complaint I have about this place is that the hot tub does not actually get hot. Otherwise it was ideal. Breakfast was great the bed was comfortable the location was good.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and it’s always been clean and a good value compared to some others in San Jose. But this time, after riding a motorcycle from Parrita through the mountains to Puriscal and finally to San Jose, I was hot, dusty and dirty. When I asked the lady at reception for the remote control for the A/C, I was told “sorry, you booked through Expedia and that rate does not include A/C for that room.” I went back and reviewed my Expedia reservation and it does not say the room has no A/C. So for this poor review, I blame Expedia’s lack of transparency more than the hotel.

Park is close by. Downtown one can walk to in about 30 minutes. Staff is eager to help. Breakfast on Sunday morning was eggs and rice and beans made to order.

Loved the place, only noticed two problems: - there's no parking, I had to leave the car in front of the hotel (they assured me that it was safe, and nothing happened, but there's no private secure parking. - the room had no cofee machine, I drink a lot of cofee during the day and other hotels have the machine and I always ask for extra cofee packs, not here sadly.
