The hotel itself is quite good, but the bathroom facilities are a bit old and need some maintenance. For example, the faucet in the sink doesn't work very well, and the switch isn't very responsive. Overall, the other facilities are at a three-star level."

We stayed here on a trip to Vancouver. It was great. The place was clean and the staff were friendly. The room was in good condition. The waterslide was great for the kids. Given the cost to Uber to the city, it's very reasonable to stay here and Uber back and forth given the cost savings from hotels downtown. We really enjoyed Chop as well. Would stay here again.

The hotel/room was nice enough…dated and complicated. The hallways are a maze and not clearly designated. They were also very hot. We could not cool off without opening the patio door (Nov) and it was pouring rain. I asked for room cleaning and restock (5 day stay)..bathroom and trash cans were emptied…bed left unmade/unchanged…disappointed. Also, the hot tub was barely tepid with minimal jets.

The sink sprayed water everywhere other than that the stay was good. Pool is nice. Restaurant is great.

Check in and shuttle service was great. But walking down a dirty and scary hallway at 130am to furthest end of the provincial wing was not a great impression. Everywhere i looked floor board were damaged, water damage on the ceiling, heat registers broken and everything is outdated, dirty and the room was extremely musty. Got so congested sleeping. The bath faucet it coming off the wall and the hair dryer did not work. I woken up at 8am with banging and drilling down the hallway. This was far from a relaxing stay that i needed after a long flight. Upon checkout ibwas ready to explain this but inwas never asked how my stay was just you've paid bye.

It was alright. Rooms are quite far from the lobby depending on what tower you get. No free water.

Was great except we were led to believe the shuttle would take us to south terminal. Had to take a cab. Was not happy with that

Mine was just a short stay as I was getting the Amtrak Thru-way bus which picks up on this property very early this morning. Check in was great and room and bed were comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly, professional and proficient!

As many reviews have noted, the hotel shuttle service to & from the airport is excellent. We arrived late (around 11 PM) & easily caught the shuttle to the hotel. After staying overnight, we took the shuttle back to the airport the next morning, & then took the Canada Line SkyTrain to reach the port for our cruise. This hotel was perfect for our needs. It was much more cost-effective than other hotels closer to the port, yet still allowed for easy & affordable access - 30 minutes to the port, costing $20 for 2.
One thing to note is that while the hotel appears fairly modern at first glance, a closer look reveals its 1990s setup. For instance, there were virtually no plug-ins available for our two cell phones and a laptop. We had to unplug the outdated drip-filter, single-cup coffee maker (definitely NOT a Keurig) just to charge the laptop. The air conditioning unit was somewhat obtrusive & loud, so I recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Additionally, there was some water damage in the bathroom ceiling that needed attention.
That said, considering the price and our requirements—a clean, comfortable place to sleep for 8 hours —I was pleased with this find & would likely book here again if I were departing for a cruise in Vancouver. Chop Steakhouse is on the ground floor, but we opted for Denny's, which is a five-minute walk away, accessible both indoors & outdoors. We had a lovely view of the dumpster in the back but again, we weren't there for the view!

Good and clean. Had a penthouse room. Shower handle was broken. Got it to work after a lot of fiddling. Spacious and stocked well. Would be nice if movies were offered for a price, or easy smart phone mirroring or syncing for laptops. Could also use room service menu, not sure if room service was actually an option. Also a pamphlet of hotel amenities could have been nice.

Check was good.
Room, tv wouldn’t work, internet didn’t work on check in, creamer for coffee sitting out. Over all stay was good.

We arrived from a cruise early and were told our rooms would be available at noon. Three hours later, one of the rooms still wasn't available. The room that was available was supposed to be handicapped accessible for my wheelchair bound sister in law. The room had nothing but a bar in the shower. Not that it really mattered, since she can't stand in the shower, and no shower seat was provided. While it was a nice looking property, it fell far short of meeting our needs. I'll never stay at a Sandman hotel again.

Dirty blankets, sticky carpet, what looked like toothpaste splattered on the wall.

The shuttle bus helps a lot, if you decide to take a taxi keep in mind that there is another sandman hotel close by so you don’t get confused

The hotel was lovely! The staff was super helpful!

It’s fair… it’s an overnight stay, the room was “okay”.
But the elevator floor/carpet was not vacuumed. Even the following day! So dirty & filthy. Even on the ground floors/carper were not vacuumed.
Alfredo from front desk was very friendly and accommodating.

I paid $335 US for the mini suite. I could not fully close the sliding glass door because the hotel had installed a portable A/C unit in the room because of complaints about the ability of their A/C system to cool the room. I felt like I overpaid for the room.

My reveiw is a litlle unfair due to the fact my room was in a week slated for a re model. The rooms were clean and the staff was great but thr provincial wing of the hotel is in need of of a reno which its is getting but for the price i paid i would have expected a room in a better part of the hotel.

We had a great stay. The staff was excellent our only complaint would be we were returning from a two week vacation so had a lot of luggage and very long walk to our room. Room 231.
Shuttle driver was also excellent

We booked one night. Fairly expensive, no breakfast or coffee although they had a Starbucks which was our only option in-house. Cleaning personnel knocked on our door at 9:30 am to clean our rooms However, checkout was noon.

I would never return to a Sandman property. Our room was 79 F degrees when we checked in an hour later it was hotter. Manager on duty Ashley H was not willing to do anything for us Later there was another family that was having the same problem. The manager would just say there was nothing she could do with a smirk on her face. After much complaining and teaming up with the other family she did move both of us to new rooms. Not much better. Property has definitely seen better days and management was awful.

Great property near the airport. Great bed

AC did not cool the room, the whole property is under renovation making it in disorder but that comes with renos.
Also this being a airport hotel it is not quiet or have any shopping around. Restaurant was ok. It is a convenient location if flying out the next day. Price was fair for Vancouver.

The room was big and comfortable but its dingy and musty. The cost doesn't seem to reflect the state of the hotel. Also, we asked for room cleaning and never got it. Restaurants are okay.

This was our first stay at this property. We were here for a concert so the check in was late. The staff was so accommodating. We got an upgrade to 12th floor in a nice quiet room. The view was so pretty.
The room was basic but the little things made it seem more upscale. The crown moulding was so pretty and to have a little deck with a table and chairs was very nice touch. The beds were very comfortable. The pillows were also good quality. Bedding was very nicely layered to adjust to the temperature.
We noted the attached Denny’s was available 24 hours but we did not visit it. However there is a restaurant at the next hotel over called Eggspectations. Ok now this place is amazing!!! Definitely check it out for any of your meals they have great food.
We checked out both pools but due to the time constraints we did not use any of them but they looked clean. We noticed a little Koi pond and that was such a nice touch.
Only issue is the parking spots are very narrow so we had to choose end spots to avoid being blocked in. Overall amazing stay we definitely will be back!!!
