The location is right in the area we often visit when in town. A fav restaurant just opened up next door. That said, won’t do it again. We had to change rooms due to the smell in the bathroom that couldn’t be escaped. Optimistically chose this stay on the pic of the hot tub. Couldn’t get the jets to work more than moving my hands under the water as a kid.

The young lady who checked me in was very friendly and very efficient. She made me feel as though I was a family member returning for a visit. I was able to relax in the jacuzzi, and have a very comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast area appeared to offer what most other facilities offer, however, they need to address the coffee issue. Waiting for coffee to be made in a regular coffee pot was very annoying as well as causing a delay to the start of my day. There was coffee available to be made in the room, but I prefer a fresh cup of coffee to start my day. Just a small thing, but definitely would improve their hospitality rating.

The check In process was quick and easy with no issues. The lobby was nice and inviting, but once in the elevator and into the hallway for our room it was definitely very outdated and not very clean. Our room was okay, nothing special. Very outdated as well. The breakfast was average, no real complaints there. There was a pool and a hot tub, the jets in the hot tub were not working. The pool was okay, but very small. My biggest complaint, was the morning of check out, I opened the drawer next to the beds and found a live cockroach inside. I was very disgusted and then very paranoid that we likely slept with bugs in the room the whole 2 nights without knowing.

Customer service was HORRIBLE. The staff was not friendly at all from check in to check out. We felt no welcome at all. I've stayed here before a few years ago, that's why I returned but NEVER AGAIN!

My family was visiting St Ambrose and only needed a room for 1 night. We were allowed to check in early which was nice, but when we got into the room we noticed a musty smell. The curtains had water stains and mold spots on the bottom and the bathroom was surface clean but still dirty. The grout on the tile was black. It smelled like someone vomited in the sink and it wasnt properly cleaned. The bath tub was dripping and the caulk was cracked and visibly rusty and moldy as well. The beds were clean and comfortable which was good. There are several other hotels in the area that if my son attends Ambrose we would stay at. We didnt pay a lot for the room which was great but i wont be staying here again.

Walked into the lobby and it stank so bad! They were trying to cover up a smell (likely) and used so much vanilla air freshener that just made me sick. I almost didn’t even check in, but it was already paid for and non refundable reservation. Once in my room the smell was better and the place was cleaner. The pool did not have any towels. We stayed here a few years ago, had a great experience then. However, this stay was different. Front desk very friendly and the staff we encountered was good. The breakfast was not great and the pool was not clean. We had a guests to visit and use the pool and was told we were to have only 3 people in the pool at a time than told that we were loud. So we left the pool area. Very disappointed in our stay.

The bed was not the most comfortable. The air filter in the a/c unit was moldy. Staff was helpful when smoke detector started chirping. Jets on hot tub didn't work but water was nice & hot. Pool area was clean. Check in was easy

The hotel is not awful but things are not as they look in the pictures. The pool was gross(hair floating in it) and was not clean or well maintained. The room was beat up and not in great condition. Bathroom walls were damaged, mirror frame was broken and the shower was dingy and beat up. Would not recommend this hotel

I was not expecting 5⭐️ accommodations, what I was expecting was a clean room. It was not, the wallpaper in the corner of the room was bubbled from floor to ceiling, their were water stains on the ceiling in the room area and in the bathroom. The smell all over the hotel were not pleasant, the best smelling area was the pool with the smell of chlorine. The room smelled like a dirty ashtray, at one point the second floor hallway smelled like sauerkraut! The bathroom shower curtain was basically shredded, the shower pan and walls were disgusting and the soap dish had soap scum on it! Have these people ever heard of bleach? The dining room was no better. I was siting and eating and the whole inside of the windowsill 6 inches from my table was full of dirt and mold. The tables were also sticky 🤮. The beds were not plush they were mushy, the sheets were a polyester mix and why were the pillows the size of a 18x18 throw pillow? I have stayed at a lot of choice hotels and expect clean and comfortable this was neither and is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in!

Room was clean. Property esthetics were lacking. Outside grounds were unkept. Limited outlets in the room, blocked by furniture. TV remote batteries were dead, had to go down to the front desk twice to discuss this. And breakfast options were lacking.

My main complaint is I had to leave by 645 to get to my event I just wanted a glass of juice on the way out. Yes I'm aware breakfast started at 7 am, I was told no breakfast doesn't start until 7 and it takes a lot to turn on the juice machine. Which is incorrect just turn the key.

It was a relocation booking because the 1st hotel could not find my reservation that I booked Wednesday before. The room smelled very bad and gave me a headache. The sheets need replaced m, they were torn. The towels in bathroom is made for kids. Tv did not work asked front seat to fix 3 times! I took pictures of location. Didn’t enjoy the stay and not worth the money.

Room was nice size and clean, bathroom definitely showing wear. Hot water was set at cold and cold at hot, water was set way too hot, almost scalding. If I had not been in the room with her my granddaughter could have been burned. I did report to front desk so hopefully something is done asap. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ok, definitely a step above continental.

The outside of the property no longer looks like the pictures. It’s very drab, trash littered the grounds, and is very bland looking. The lobby was basic, not very inviting. The area where breakfast was going to be was “cleaned” and stacked chairs when we checked in but there was still some big pieces of trash on floor. Room was ok. Definitely just a basic hotel. Don’t expect much.
