good place to stay if you're on a road trip...right off the freeway only complaint is lack of a luggage trolley...desk told us someone broke the one they had Believe they should have replaced it and charged whoever broke it! thanks for askimg

A quick overnight trip to Trinidad. The property was clean, desk staff friendly. Room was comfortable. Great value for our purpose.

Wonderful location off highway 25. Great spot to stop. Nice breakfast. Staff is always helpful but a bit chatty. Quiet and clean rooms with a fridge and microwave. Coffee for the morning. Pet friendly too! Plenty of good food and services in town.

Booked this hotel about a month in advance, chosen because of the free hot breakfast, fair price, and pet friendly rooms because we were traveling with pets. When I arrived, before I could get my room front desk worker said she was canceling my reservation because the pets I had were cats. The website says pet friendly....they should chamge that to dog friendly if they were really that hard against other pets. She wasnt very sorry or emoathetic about my situation. Just told me to try Days Inn. Lucky for Days Inn, they didnt bat an eye at my choice of pet and I even saved money. This location came with a better view as well.

The actual motel was as expected, but I was bit by another customers dog in the lobby and all the clerk had to say is motel 8 will not take any responsibility...won't return to a motel 8 ever again

There was dogs barking for about 20 -30 minutes it was early but very annoying, There was a man yelling at his wife that appeared to have left the automobile with it still running with the door open. I believe she suffered from dementia and he was afraid she would wonder away just prior to the dogs barking. Nothing the staff could have done to prevent either situation but it was unnerving.

The hotel was very clean. They seemed to be updating the flooring which is nice but the smell of the new flooring was an overwhelming chemical smell. I wish they said on the description that they don’t allow cats. All it said was pets welcome with deposit. Luckily it was late enough in the day that it wasn’t hot and my cat could stay in the car. I had my dog as well and wish there was a better area to walk her. But overall it was a nice stay.

It was never quiet at night, couldn't sleep because it sounded like someone was always doing some kind of work in one of the rooms. The bed was too small. I got sick Friday night, I thought it was food poisoning, and it may have been that but it could also have been something in the room, I cannot prove anything except that I did get very very sick.

I made a mistake. I forgot when I got to the hotel that after midnight (1:30am) a booking on expedia counts for the same day, but check in is at 3pm. So I would have had to wait until 3pm to go into my room. If you check in after midnight, you need to technically book for yesterday to sleep in the room. Example: reserve room: 11pm Jan 1 instant check in. Check out: Jan 2nd 11am Me: check in 1:30 am Jan 2nd. You have to wait until 3pm the same day to enter the room. I ate my Expedia booking fee because I was traveling so even though I was there 1:30am Jan 2nd, I had to reserve the room as if I showed up Jan 1st to stay. So i paid for 2 nights and stayed for one. The man who checked us in made me feel very uncomfortable. He was not welcoming or informative at all. Then in the morning, house keeping started banging at our door at 10am. Check out wasn’t until 11am and we had a long trip so we were wanting to sleep in as long as possible but housekeeping knocked at our door about 5 different times starting at 10 and was trying to rush us out. When we finally walked out of the room at the check out time the housekeeper was very annoyed towards us and rude. Don’t set a check out time for a certain time when you’re not going to stick to it a rush people out.
