Had the 50’s room. It was comfortable enough. Room could use a deep cleaning as there was dust all over fixtures. The TV was inoperative, at least the remote was. Large tub was better than expected.

Overall I enjoyed the effort put into the theme of the room. I booked the Jungle room. And I can say the effort put into the room was very creative. My only thing with it was the materials used. I myself have allergies from time to time. The materials in the room created a heavy dense smell. The sculptures are dusty and were making my nose very stuffy and my body itchy. I enjoyed the theme but definitely not for me. I want to give the other rooms a try see how they differ. Also the hot tub is placed right in front of the window and the shades do have gaps. Light comes in and you see in and out. They should have black out curtains instead. I do appreciate the hospitality and the effort of the location so I would recommend the stay for the price.

Charming hotel in a convenient location. We love this place for a quick Joshua Tree trip or a concert at Pappy & Harriet's. It is an older place but our room was upgraded and was so cute - it was The Safari Room. I'm guessing most rooms are upgraded. Anyway, the room was super clean and quiet. I will not hesitate to stay here again!

This day was a pleasant surprise. Very well kept hotel a little older but aren't they all. Details to decor was fun. It was quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again. Staff very friendly

It was fine. The room smelled weird and even in the "suite" there was no coffee maker. It served our purposes - we were there for 1 night to see a concert at Pappy and Harriet's.

We booked the 50s style room as we wanted to stay in a variety of cool places along our trip. The room was in need of some updating. The tiles on the step to the jacuzzi were cracked and broken. Although the towels were clean, the room itself lacked in cleanliness, with dust in places and the bed sheets need to be replaced (there was a faded blood stain on one of the sheets.) We were hoping to use the jacuzzi but on filling the tub, the water became quite cloudy with a dirty film appearing on the top of the water. Draining it out and wiping down the tub didn't help as it did the same again when we tried to refill it. I'd say it needs a proper clean of the jets. Needless to say, we didn't use it. Air con was on when we arrived but the room was still very hot. It took hours for the room to cool to a bearable level. All in all, overpriced and outdated.

We really enjoy staying here. We just love the roomy comfortable rooms with a great ac!!! Very very clean and you can tell the owners take pride in ownership of this hotel.
We left our phone charger and the owners called us right away and held the charger for us at the front desk for us to pick up. The owners make it very personalized and are very friendly.
We have stayed at the other hotels and love this one the best!!!
Best Hotel Best Price Comfortable Very Clean Beds!!!
Also there is a little Mexican drive thru in walking distance with the best food and it’s open 24 hrs
We always get a great night of sleep at Americas Best Hotel cause it’s super comfy and quiet!!!
Highly Recommend!!!

Very safe area and the price is right

The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and friendly. The room was cleaned well, no hairs from other guests left for us to find, however it was a bit musty smelling and could use a good airing out and air freshener. The bed was average as were the pillows. The water was hot enough in the shower. The pool was clean and sunny in the afternoon. It was about what you’d expect for $75/night.

Fun place to stay. It was super quiet and the pool was nice.

Our stay was very brief as we arrived at 9 P.M. and left the next morning at 7 A.M. Still, we were there long enough to appreciate the room. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with countless rose bushes and other plants, and the pool area was especially inviting. The room was comfortable, and the furnishings were attractive. We would have gladly spent more than one night, and on any future trips through the area, we will certainly book a stay there again. (A friend recommended it after her stay there a couple months ago, and I'm glad she did!)

No frills, very clean, great parking. Service was quick and friendly.
Not a destination motel but worth the stay if you need a road trip break or are going to Pappy & Harriet’s for a show.

First time in that location and found out that there’s not much to do out there so it was disappointing that the hotel didn’t offer much to do at the facility.
3.5
If you advertise a pool and spa, they should at least be heated to a temp that people can enjoy.

We had originally wanted to stay in the cave suit and so we we were given it then once we settled in the room was awful (dirty and falling apart literally). So then we asked if we could be moved to a different room so we were then put in the New York suit which wasn’t terrible but it was less in price and we were still charged as if we were staying in the original suit. This place also had cockroaches so there’s that. I never leave reviews but honestly I was just so disappointed. I sadly do not recommend

I was pleased with my stay here. Its not a 5 star resort ...but you aren't paying for one. For what I paid I was very satisfied. Room was big and clean and staff was very helpful. Could the facility use some touch ups ? Sure - but does that affect my stay ? Nope .....I will say though that I did find the grounds quite lovely. For a hotel in the dessert the amount of flower bushes all over was quite surprising and nice to look at.

Surprisingly pleasant place with clean rooms - not something you find often these days! A little dated and low-budget at its core, but the pros outweigh the cons.

This was a good place to stay close to Pioneertown. The owners are making investments in improving the property (new flooring, bathroom upgrades, etc.). The pool area and patio are nicely maintained and welcoming. I was placed in a zebra-themed room, which was unexpectedly amusing. The staff are very nice.

My daughter and i always enjoy the "colorful pools" in my daughters words lol.. very polite owners, quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Love this hotel in the fact that its price point is fantastic and it is unlike all the cookie cutter generic offerings out there. Much quieter than the other hotels I've stayed at in Yucca Valley, the rooms are decent sized and clean. The pool is nice and the outside rose and jasmine gardens are a nice departure to the other hotels.
It's eccentric and funky. There are other rooms or suites that are theme oriented, like the cave room, the jungle room and the Bermuda Triangle room -- sort of a Madonna Inn of the high desert, but their average room, like the one I stayed in had was totally comfortable. Furniture is a little older but bed was great.
Some of the rooms have in-room hot tubs etc.
I'll definitely be back, probably numerous times.

Checking in was easy and a great Mexican restaurant recommended. The room was clean, fridge/microwave included which was good. The wardrobe doors wouldn’t slide easily for storage & the bathroom door was hitting the jam each time it closed. The 2 outdoor plastic chairs had cracks in them and would have broken completely if sat on. Outside the roses and jasmine smelt divine.

Beautiful flower garden. The owners take real pride in the place. The hot tub was completely cold, we couldn’t figure out how to turn the heat on. Other than that great place to stay, good location, quiet, friendly place.
3.5
Nice, basic clean rooms. Nothing fancy. If you’re looking for an economical place to lay your head at night without all the fancy bells and whistles this is the place.

A good place to crash at night

The room was decorated in a jungle theme to our surprise. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Office staff was nice and met our needs. The rose gardens on the grounds were an added bonus. Price was great!

Best hotel in the city. The owner takes real care of the property.

Pool was dirty, spa not working, ripped shower curtain

I was pleasantly surprised that this little old place was so nice and clean . It was quiet and plenty of parking available. The lady at the front desk was really nice . We checked out really early and when we rang the buzzer , she still got up and took our key from us with a smile . It was just an over night stay but it was pleasant and comfortable. Will stay again .

Simple but as described

The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s an older facility but is clean and kept up. I loved the Roses!!

Clean well kept room, spacious, wood floor, no musty dusty carpet, bathroom squeaky clean, nice garden view, with microwave and refrigerator. Really worth the price.

I'm glad this place exists, with the quirky theme rooms. It seems that most places with any hint of uniqueness or personality are being replaced by big chains that push conformity and corporate blandness, except for the extra expensive boutique options. This is a budget place, and bare minimum for some aspects, like slow wifi, tiny refrigerator, no microwave in room, no breakfast, not very hot showers, aged facilities. But the service was good and friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable, AC worked well, no noise that I heard through the ceiling or walls, and parking is close to the rooms. I don't try the television or the pool, so I can't comment on either of those. Price was a bit more than I hoped, but it was fun, I had a good stay, and I'd go back, probably trying another one of the themed rooms.

Mike was a great help! I definitely recommend staying here!

Fine establishment no frills. Nice pool/jacuzzi . Perfect location . Near JT park entrance but best of all a reasonably priced room and very close to Pappy and Harriets . Was in town to see a show . Already rebooked for a future show .

So I questioned my choice if I'm gonna be honest. I saw a lot of ratings bad and good but check in was a breeze and the gentleman at the desk was very nice. The room was themed and granted it was nicely decorated, it isnt going to be the most amazing place to stay. We stood in the Persian themed room and it definitely shows some age but I still enjoyed my stay. It was a bit expensive for what it was but i will more than likely stay again in another themed room.
3.5
The room had a stale smell. The linens were scratchy, thin and had random black hairs in it. The lay out of the room was strange - shower & toilet in one room. Sink outside with no towel racks. No coffee maker. Mix matched furniture. Old A/C - heater that was very noisy.
3.5
Room is not what is presented in the picture for the elegance and uniqueness of it. Huge ugly stains on bed cover. That went on the floor. No hot water, warm at best. Body wash dispenser empty so used shampoo for body wash. Bulbs missing from bed side stands. TV didn’t work. Who cares, had a iPad and Wi-Fi was sufficient.
Not worth the high dollar cost at $170. Disappointed.
