Second stay here. Good central location with nice and friendly staff. Elevator out of service due to repair of the elevator floor, but the 2nd one was working so not too much of a hassle. Overall would recommend!

They broke into my husband’s truck and hotel does not have any type of surveillance outside hotel

Hotel was OK, woke up in the morning and the entire bathroom counter was covered in ants along with all of our stuff. Told the front desk, but they didn’t seem very concerned.

This hotel is a great location for shopping the outlet malls and getting downtown. Quiet and clean with friendly customer service and comfy beds. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised. You never know these days. There was some repairmen in the building but just show there commitment to the guests. Beds were very comfortable and had enough covers to keep you warm and even an extra blanket in the closet. Everything was clean and spotless. The breakfast was another pleasant surprise. Pretty typical in selection except they had great bacon instead of the same tired sausages. Another great feature they had a strawberry mix in the waffle mix to go with the vanilla waffles. Very tasty. Rounded out by with several varieties of fresh fruit. We always check out Hampton in first when reserving and this is one of their greatest ones.

This is the perfect hotel for folks who are working in their room. My desk and chair were comfortable, and I had plenty of room to work. The area around the property is under construction, but the signage was good. Great staff and delicious complimentary breakfast. Very convenient to Texas State.

The area surrounding the property wasn’t the greatest, but this hotel was clean, the service was excellent, and the continental breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again.

I was in town for a graduation and had no problems with my stay. There was some construction happening near but that would be my only negative thing about my stay.

Room smelled and humid. AC did not cool. Switched rooms. The new room was not much different. AA was cold. The toiletries in shower were empty. Not a good thing after a day of moving

Road construction made entrance visibility almost impossible. There was no housekeeping services throughout our stay, so beds were never made, trash not taken out and fresh towels had to be requested from the front desk.

Older hotel….being remodeled supposedly.
Hallway smelled almost like a gas leak.
Room was ok. Room was not cleaned, nor beds made after first night.
Breakfast was ok, but just ok.
The room served its purpose, but wasn’t what I would expect paying for a Hampton.

I will stay here again.
Pros: Nice hotel for the price. Convenient location. Easy in/out. Good continental breakfast and coffee options. Close to other eateries.
Cons: A little outdated but rooms are big, dark curtains, and comfortable bed.

Easy check-in, pleasant staff, and clean accommodations! Not to mention it is less than 10 minutes from TXST!

First and foremost the beds are awful. Deformed mattresses that will guarantee backache the next day. Skip this place.
I felt during check-in that the hotel was doing me a favor. The guy looked up the reservation and couldn't find them when he found them he acted like doing me a favor. They have no drinking water available either in the rooms or by the lobby.
The bathroom was not in good shape, the shower drips water, and the ceiling has filtration (room 314). There is a sound all night that feels like a cel phone in vibrating, I asked other people in my party about it and they felt it too. Good luck trying to sleep with that. I woke up at 5 am to a bad back ache that will be with me for a couple of days for sure.

I stayed there because of the reviews so I will be brutally honest. Room was somewhat clean, hair in the tub and extremely dated. Roach was in the hallway and a homeless man was eating the free breakfast this morning. I will never stay here again.

Road construction in the area made the access and egress from the facility difficult. Lots of dust and noise.

Very poorly run property. First room had broken AC. Second had toilet that would not flush. Took 6 hours to get staff to fix it.

Nice, suite was nice but blanket for couch sleeper was a little old

Hard to find the hotel, tucked back behind a Comfort Inn that was is much disrepair. The Hampton Inn looked nice from the outside, the hotel lobby and staff were also nice. I was placed in a room that was handicap accessible - a huge door to the bathroom and a lot of open space, with dated furnishings. The room was dimly lit, the black out curtain was a bit tricky to manipulate, I found a sign that told me how to work it. It appeared that previous patrons tried to pull it down without success. The pillows on the bed were very small, like half the size of a normal pillow. Overall I felt safe, but I think I would try another hotel for my next visit to San Marcos.

The room had a terrible odor and the carpet was old and dirty.

Doing road construction in the area made it hard to get to. Tucked behind other properties. Also doing remodeling at the hotel. Price seemed high for the experience considering all the factors.
Breakfast was good but coffee needed help.
