Enjoyed our stay, lovely position with a great view from the large balcony. Apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had to clean the small kitchen area before we left but a cleaning kit is supplied and it wasn’t really an issue,we also had to take our rubbish to the outside bins before we left. Lovely pool and good restaurants around the port. All in all good value for money.

A lot of space, good air conditioning, everything needed in the kitchen. Not really clean and not having toilet paper and other indispensables is not amazing.

First time I’ve ever stayed in a property and you had to do all the cleaning yourself? We left it spotless but also never book first week in April virtually everything around was shut and does not open until Easter or second week in April only stayed one night even though booked two

A smooth check in and a warm welcome. Apartment very clean and well equiped. A nice clean pool. Within walking distance of beach, bars and restaurants. Would recommend and definately stay again.

I don’t regret staying here, but the other reviewers comments were helpful and true: the bed was awful; you are expected to clean on your own apartment or pay a decent fee, but proper cleaning supplies (including even dish soap, etc) are not provided; paying more for the “harbor view” helped avoid the hot afternoon sun. However the “harbor view” is really much more accurately described as a “buildings view” in my case, so I definitely felt cheated in that regard. Plus, they hosted several afternoon/evening activities (complete with a loud sound system) that were horribly disruptive to my plans for a “restful” getaway. The location was very good though and the price wasn’t totally horrible for the season.

Fabulous location, very helpful staff.
Fantastic view over harbour with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby .
Property outdated, a little shabby and could do with aircon because it was very hot.

Excellent location and apartment. Would definitely recommend staying for a longer time (we only had 2 nights). A little difficult to find at first - Tourist Office did not know of the Residence however did direct us to Marigold residences which in turn made it easy for us. Everything was just great.

Not enough towels or pillows for 5 people . Reception closed most of the time ,so if extra was required no one to ask .very bad lighting.

This apart-hotel was lovely! We had a room upgrade and really enjoyed the area. It’s worth noting that you need to bring supplies like dishwashing and garbage bags. Our room had a strong smell of fish, which wasn’t all that nice, but overall a great stay.

The hotel rooms are basic, but the living space spacious. It had everything you needed. The curtains don't leave the light out. The beach is nearby en walking facilities. Enough restaurants nearby.

The staff on reception were outstanding. Very attentive and helpful. Generally the hotel was kept clean and tidy, especially the pool area. Cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. The towels we hiredwere of very poor quality and should only have been used as cleaning dusters. IMPORTANT: pay extra for the pool view rooms as the others are subject to punishing heat in the afternoon. 1 Euro bus on doorstep allowed us to roam far and wide during our 25 day stay.

Finding the hotel and gaining access to your room after the specified registration hours can be quite tricky and time consuming. Once you've gained access to the building, however, the overall experience is good. We asked for a room facing the harbour which gave us a nice view. In March there were limited options vis a vis restaurants, even for breakfast, and the hotel breakfast wasn't as good as many we've seen. Later in the season, however, I suspect the place will be a hot spot with more choices. The hotel is somewhat isolated but a short drive took us to Argeles and Perpignan, both of which offered restaurants and a good samplingof culture and local colour. Perpignan is worth a visit and in Argeles we happened to catch an annual festival including a fantastic local parade. We'd stay at the Residence if we were in the area again. The price was reasonable and the room was terrific.

Great apartments in an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area or just relaxing by the pool or on the beach. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops on the doorstep with great views of the marina, sea and mountains.

An excellent location for exploring the coastal area of Roussillon, very friendly and helpful staff, spoke good English. We were allocated a marina view room (as requested) on the 4th floor with a fabulous view of the traffic free marina & sea. The grounds/car park of the complex were well secured with electronic pass gates and well planted with beautiful palm trees etc. The pool area was equally inviting with a welcome shaded area under a pergola.
A 5 minute stroll through the pedestrianized marina led to good beaches and the start of an attractive 2km promenade to Argeles Plage.

Every thing we wanted, great location we would use this hotel again

The rooms were nothing beyond adequate. There is no artwork or color on any of the walls (an accent wall would help). The bed is very low, probably no more than 4" off the floor which makes the sheet and comforter drag on the floor unless you tuck them in. Very little room to move around the bed. Nice balcony though! What brings up our rating is the dedication of the reception staff; very pleasant, helpful and patient. The low "condition" rating comes from the odor from one of the bathrooms (which was reported but not able to be rectified) and the landscaping which could be improved by simply pulling a few weeds and planting a few more flowering perrenials. Very convenient for day trips around the area. DEFINITELY recommend L'Ardesia and Solazo rewstaurants when you don't feel like cooking!

The Maeva residence is in a fabulous location in Port Argeles. Great walks along the prom, miles of fabulous clean, uncrowded beaches on the Med.
Location right on the Marina is great for a meal or drinks in the evening with a good choice of restaurants.
The apartment was well equipped but the comfort level of the beds and sofa was quite poor. However the location does make up for this in part.
The staff were very helpful and other guests respectful of others and the environment.
It was September when we had a very relaxing breal here for one week.

You can't call this place a hotel,it is most definately a long stay apartment block. On arriving we were given a checklist where the staff asked us if we wanted to PAY for use of towels (14 euros), use of TV (5euros per day!) and whether we wanted to pay 55 euros for "cleaning products" as the apartment had to be spotless when we left otherwise there was a charge. This was not the warm welcome we were expecting upon arriving excited to start our 4 day mini-break. The rooms had a "hospital" feel and were decorated in a hideous yellow. Two of us stayed in a 4-person apartment and it was just about big enough, 4 would have been extremely cramped! Pool was nice and clean but v.cold as it was April - quite nice for young families in peak summer I'd imagine. Location was very good, but we know Argeles well so knew where the Port was in relation to the Plage etc.

Enjoyed a 6 night stay at the Maeva Holiday Residence in Port Argeles during May 2008. Our one bedroom four person apartment was extremely comfortable for us as a couple with a spacious living/kitchen area but would adequately serve a family. The apartment had the advantage of a large balcony with superb views across the marina. Both english and non english speaking staff were efficient and friendly. Whilst at the time of our visit the restaurants and shops around the marina were very quiet I would expect the area to be very busy during high season. We have previously used a Maeva Residence in Biarritz/Anglet and have found them to provide very good value clean and well maintained accommodation. This was our first visit to the Perpignan area and we would have no hesitation if returning to look to book the same accommodation.

Good Basic appartment you really need a car while you are in the resort. We went with 2 young children and had a good time. Hotel could do with air con. You will have to pay a tax and pay to have the room cleaned on your exit allow 100 euro's. Full of frogs but genrally ok.
