Beautiful old European style hotel. An enormous room beautifully decorated with a great view of the lake. Staff was excellent.

Before the arrival of our baby, we had a wonderful 2-night, 3-day stay at the hotel. The staff at the breakfast restaurant were very friendly, and the entire facility was spotless.
Next time, we would appreciate it if you could offer us a welcome drink at check-in as well. ^_^

Excellent hotel, beautiful room, with very comfortable beds. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Loved our stay here. My only issue was breakfast, the service was terrible, the staff were faffing about trying to look busy rather than service customers, it took 25 mins from ordering for the cooked option to arrive and the place was a ¼ full at best. I would recommend you get breakfast elsewhere.

Hotel lovely and updated but they placed us in a room which was tiny and should have only been booked for a single. Could not switch because of full iccupancy

We really liked the friendly and helpful staff, they made us feel special.

Staff were very helpful, particularly Ghirlaine and Phillip. Wheelchair access was a bit difficult because of the age of the property. One of the “Grandes dames” hotels of the world.

No one helped me with my suitcases up and down the stairs, which consisted of 10 steps in and out of the lobby. Upon entering the lobby, I was shocked by the appearance. I felt as if I was walking into a three star hotel it was dark and dated, and the reception desk looked like the reception desk of a three star hotel, very uninviting and not welcoming at all. All the pros of my stay were the customer service from the front desk staff when I checked in. and the size of my room which was a junior suite with a balcony was a nice. The AC did not work well and the bed was very very hard with no sheet or blanket. Just a heavy comforter I had a terrible night sleep but the room was a very hot with not proper bedding. I also went to enjoy the sauna and came out with no availability of water, so that was quite frustrating to be hot and thirsty, and have no water provided at all in the sauna area. I felt that for the price I paid it was very much an overpriced room.

Great location across from the lake with easy access to transport/walkable to train station and area attractions; multiple restaurants onsite with plenty of vegetarian options.

Great location, beautiful views, highly maintained classic hotel. Room has artistic charm and fine decor. Very impressive building. Close to city center and boats.

View, building and cleanless is great.

The hotel was a grand place but it currently needs a face lift. The rooms do not have air conditioning. The hotel restaurant felt worn and in need of a little love.

We loved the property but most importantly the staff. Marco from the front desk was very helpful and informative. I would come again.

Older hotel with lots of character. Has been modernized with AC, double sinks and a good shower! Perfect location too for all the site seeing. Can walk almost anywhere. We will stay here again if we come back to this part of Switzerland.

Bad hotel gave us the room late the shower knob to open the water was so hard my husband had to take a towel to turn it and took him a while I could never do it. Beside they don’t refill the coffee nor the sugar in the room and for water they don’t leave you water in the room and when I called they told me to drink from the tap. I know in Lucerne is clean drinkable water from the tap but this is suppose to be a 5 star hotel I don’t think this is a good answer to a guest. Anyway the hotel did not do a good job with us will not recommend it and will never go back there. There are plenty of good 5 star hotels in Lucerne

Amazing hotel with true 5 star amenities and service. Location is great, a bit further away from the hustle and bustle of the old town but within a few minutes walking distance. Opting for the lake view rooms is definitely worth it. Staff was also fantastic, especially at the front desk. They went above and beyond was expected from them. The only thing that falls short of 5* is the Juliette restaurant (which also serves the breakfast). Several dishes don't taste as good as you would expect. For instance, my egg benedcits were severed as hard boiled eggs! (staff happily replaced the dish but i had to wait another 10-15min).

The staff at the resort was extraordinary, they made us feel right at home from the very moment we arrived. Every single staff member was extremely pleasant and courteous and the restaurants at the property are amazing.

Elegant old hotel in the perfect location of Lucerne right by the lake. Could not have picked a better spot.

A old style hotel refurbished with modem luxuries

Great disappointment. Kitchen of the restaurant burnt in the afternoon, we had to change restaurant where selected wine was not available. Room 418 was the smallest of the hotel, a bathroom transformed into a bed room squeezed between two normal rooms. Neighbor slammed his door at 1.30 am and again at 6.00 am in the same night. Receptionist said he would take care of not renting that room again instead of changing us the room. 2 hours later, we had new neighbors in that very same room… otherwise, staff was nice and welcoming. But for $600 a night, you expect better a service!

Certainly one of the most beautiful hotel en a lakeside !

Oh, what a GLORIOUS, breathtaking place! Those who are tired of booking (and paying for) supposedly “5-Star” accommodations—only to be met with “3-Star” service & surroundings—need look no further : The Grand Hotel is EVERYTHING you would expect (and more) in a first-class establishment ….
From the service, to the opulent surroundings, to the smallest of special requests—all, were met and exceeded by the Grand’s fine staff….With decor original to the building’s 1880s construction, I swooned over the Bird’s Eye Maple end tables, writing desk & Chest of Drawers….A bathroom entirely in white & red marbles, lovely nineteenth Century chandeliers in the room—and a wrought iron balcony, overlooking Lake Luzern & Mt. Pilates ….
The staff are trained to the highest level of service; anything wanting will be supplied….There is a fabulous restaurant in the hotel, and full spa treatments are offered….An opulent, yet relaxing atmosphere surround one at The Grand. Cannot rate highly enough.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding staff in an excellent location. Everything within the hotel’s control was fabulous! Dinner at Juliette was excellent, highly recommend! We had some issues with noisy neighbors and smoking, but the staff did everything they could to relocate us.

This is one of the best hotels at which I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. It’s beautiful, has several restaurants if you want to stay on property, the staff is fantastic and the location is perfect for walking everywhere you’d want to go in Lucerne. Highly recommend!!!

Great location. Walkable to downtown but not so close that it's too busy. View is amazing.
This is a historic hotel, so the layout is a little dated, but that's part of the fun. Room was fantastic. We didn't go to the restaurants/bar that often but when we did they were good.
By far the highlight is the staff who are very friendly and helpful. They gave us great tips on where to visit and how to do things. This was important since it was our first trip to Switzerland.
If/when we go back to Lucerne we will definitely stay here again!

A short stay again and mostly top notch. Two areas that were not include pop music played by the Brasserie that could be heard from my room above and notably smaller breakfast selection.
