Nice location opp the sea but no direct access or sun beds on the beach.
Rooms are dates. Not worth the money. For the money I paid, never again. Blocked drain causing water spillage in the bathroom. Broken floor tiles, I stepped on a piece of broken tile. It was painful. At least give new curtains. All full of stains.
Food at the restaurant was nice.
Pool was nice.
Terrace room def not worth it.

Location is good, hotel is really outdated with worn out rooms. Room isolation is poor which makes the room very noisy

Slow service by the pool & maid service threw my extra blanket and clothes on the chair 6 out of 5 night I had to ask for shampoo & confused

I like the hotel but I will be honest.
Cons: This was my first time here. There was a few things that I want to mention… as a property manager myself is hard for me no to see every detail here we go….the bathroom is very humid, the cold water is always hot until the morning you can have cold water. The water pressure is very bad in the shower. So if you want to take a cold shower during the day or night that’s impossible. There are ants around the toilet all night long, so before you use the toilet make sure there are no ants inside toilet or at the base. The bathroom door has no lock. The AC works but very slow it takes hours to make the room cooler and it needs a fan to be used along with AC to get a little relief. The beds are hard and bouncy. Restaurant chocolate cake is dry, not sweet enough, it doesn’t taste like chocolate at all.
Pros: Rooms are big, Clean, has 2 pools, Tv service is good, it has sky cable, a lot of towels, nice gated parking, restaurant fish tacos great! But ask for corn tortillas tacos because they usually served them with flour tortillas unless you ask. The ice cream is good. French fries are good too! The customer service in general is excellent, very friendly employees and they let me check in 2 hours before the regular check in time at 3pm and they let me enjoy the hotel property before the check in time. which I appreciate. I hope you pay attention to this comment to improve your service. Thank you.

The hotel is old, lost power and it just feels filthy

AMAZING !!! I highly recommend it , hammock in the room is a magical touch of paradise, everyone is happy and polite

There was filming on the property being done for 2 days that we were there and we couldn’t make any noise. I think if any hotel has something going on they should discount or let us know ahead of time. We are there to enjoy our vacation and not to be told to be quiet cause a production company is there filming a movie.

Nice hotel. Near many restaurants shoos and beaches. Very easy to grab a cab right outside.

The staff did not speak English and there really wasn’t a concierge desk so we did not deal with the front desk other than for towels. They do not hire a cab for you. Pool closes too early but they let us stay in for longer which was nice. The restaurant is well situated with a view of the ocean. Our room had air- conditioning though the first couple of days I smelled mold because the area is so humid. The best part of the hotel is its location which is the furthest away from the loud and boisterous night life on that strip.

My favorite hotel in Porto Escondido. Understated luxury.

Would definitely come back!

I loved my stay, the hotel is a mix of the old one with a bit of new elements. The personnel was very kind, it's close to many restaurants and the beach and the taxis pass by in front at any time. I highly recommend it.

This is one of the most beautiful little hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I will definitely be back! It’s not perfect, maybe even far from it, but the charm and the wonderful staff and the beautiful architecture make it perfect in my eyes. We did stay in the junior suite that overlooks the pool, I would specifically request the same room again. I think there are two junior sweets, one superior suite, and the rest of the rooms are similar, but we enjoyed the extra space and great view. We actually had our trip split to stay another hotel but after one night at the other place, I called and booked our last three days back at Santa Fe. We got the other junior suite to the north side of the pool and didn’t like it as much, but it was still nice. We spent our last day just hanging out in the pool anyway, and that was lovely. The restaurant is delicious and the service was wonderful.

What an amazing property to stay! My husband and I stayed for a long weekend vacation and our stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean and spacious! The AC worked perfectly and the hotel staff was amazing.
Easy check-in and check-out process!
Funny story I would like to share to show how amazing the staff at this hotel is:
My husband and I arrived at Puerto Escondido airport and I looked at his hand and his wedding band was missing! After a (MINOR!!) panic attack at the airport, I called the hotel to have them check if his wedding band was left in the safe of the hotel room. Five minutes later, they called and confirmed that the ring was left in the room. They offered to deliver the ring at the airport so we wouldn't miss our flight back to California. I was SOOOOOOOO thankful to everyone and we were able to fly back right on time. It was not the material value of the ring, but the sentiment we have towards our original wedding bands. We were beyond grateful to all the staff and would definitely recommend this hotel!

For an older hotel, every thing was very well maintained and taken care of. The staff especially the restaurant and bar were great. I would definitely stay here again!

The property is very nice, the architecture very Mexican , very convinient location.
I didn't like that one morning I took a seat on a table to have breakfast and they moved me to give the table to someone else. I wanted there to have a view of the beach so I didn't go back to the restaurant again

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the historic Hotel Sante Fe! Gracious service, charming lay-out, two well maintained pools, and a lovely terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Vegan fare at the hotel restaurant was delicious and convenient (make sure to reserve a table on the oceanfront side).

The AC wasn't working very well and a staff member fixed it right away! The mattress was a little too hard but overall we had a wonderful stay. It was very relaxing lounging at the pool and hearing the waves from the ocean in the background. Will definitely stay again.

We loved the pool areas and the terrace overlooking the beach and ocean. Our room was clean and comfortable but we would have enjoyed a small bar fridge to keep a few drinks cool. Would definitely stay again.
