This place could be so nice. Excellent location and built 100 years ago. Sadly, it looks like it hasn't been updated since. I stayed here as a child 45ish years ago and it looks like the same dirty, threadbare carpet. The beds are VERY bouncy and not the most comfortable. The water bottle and fill station is a nice touch
Coffee in the morning would be great, too 😜

The beach was great. Staff members wrre pleasant and helpful. Despite non smoking rules, people still smoked on patio. The bathroom in the room should be updated with a higher toilet and lower tub.

Had a few issues with the toilet but overall it was a nice stay for a short period.

I was very impressed with the staff especial the manager, so sorry I forgot ther name and Kei at the front desk. They were both so accomadating and very helpful. We had a problem with the A/C and Kei had someone up there immediately to fix it. I enjoyed my stay very much and will be coming back. Thank you for having such wonderful staff

Everything was great! Will return

The parking was horrible because they share parking with a restaurant and when it gets busy is hard to get in and out, no spaces available.
They charge you a resort fee but there is no room service, they don’t make beds or change towels.
First night was cold and I ask for a blanket since we had to beds and they didn’t have.
Also the queen sofa was terrible the mattress, very thin . It is for little kids

Location location location! Right on the ocean! Kitchenette in every unit! We've been here many times. Attached restaurant has live music every night and palm trees!!! Always happy!

It was a good enough hotel based on the location but it’s quite expensive for seeking like it has not being updated since the 80s!

I liked the check in process at first but later found out I was supposed to receive Beach Tags and a Parking Pass which I never did. Luckily I wasn't towed, but I did have to buy Beach Passes at own expense.

I loved the history of the property. I has a lot of character.

Surprise Nighttime exfoliation: Sand in our bed that was tucked so tightly we had to wrestle it untucked before snuggling into sandpaper sheets. It was midnight so let the hotel know later - they offered
Nothing.

LIKED THE STAFF FOR THE MOST PART

I spent too much money on a room that smelled and a leather couch that was peeling. I luckily found an extra blanket in the closet to cover it just to be able to sit down. It is in a great location to the beach and the town, but just a little pricey for what i got

Old building poorly painted rug was dirty and wrinkled, mattress cushions flattened, no morned amenities even strip for charging, since there few outlet and they behind beds and furniture, no attempt bring you new towels - need go front rest ask for towels,. building need complete overhaul. Beautiful location better leadership to run this building make a difference since this historic hotel

The whole place needs to be closed down, deep cleaned, and repaired. I am all about a no frills hotel down the shore, but the room we stayed in was unacceptable.
The room was overall dirty. Dirt and dead bugs in the window…. the refrigerator had a block of ice that prevented the item we placed in to get cold. The drop ceiling tiles were dirty and some appeared to have mold.
In addition to the refrigerator not working, the television and AC did not work either.
The strangest part of the room was the bed. When we first got in the room, I was surprised to see a king bed. However, it was actually a king bed on a Queen frame…. What ever genius thought this was a good idea, needs to sleep on it for 1 night because it was incredibly uncomfortable.
I would not be able to complete a review without talking about parking. When we checked in we were told to fend for ourselves against the restaurant next door. As we looked for parking, we got yelled at by the valet at that restaurant. They eventually helped us find parking but, this seems like something that should be addressed ASAP.
Location is great, but I would not stay there again

Nice property. Would like to see the pool updated. It’s very old and needs resurfacing. Beach access and LaScalas 5 stars. Rooms are nice- a bit worn but does the job.

It was a good get away for a couple of days. Slight lack of communication on part of hotel and once you parked the car, plan to not move it! Would have love to experience more of Brigantine but very difficult to move the car once you park. We would love to stay at Legacy in the future; however the parking issue will be a factor if we make a future reservation.

The staff isnt invested in doing well for the property management team. Let me start from my check out to when i checked in.
1)I was trying to pull my car to the stairs so i could load it. A front desk employee was parked with her husband. Instead of pulling out of the way so the person who paid to stay there could have an easy loading path. She, and her husband proceeded to sit in the space and block so the patrons cant load tbeir vehicles
2) my last night the dishwasher proceeded to leak water. I called down and nobody came. I had to use towels to mop the floor. The morning i was packing to leave, the maintence people showed up at 830 to look it over.
3) i asked the housekeeper to please lightly clean up
The room on the third day of check-in. It never happened.
4) i asked for linen, towels and wash clothes. Was not delivered
5) there was no blender..i had to ask for pots and pans because they were not in the room.
6) On check-in the door would not unlock. I had to wait for maintenance to fix the door lock.
7) the parking is not well thoughout and strategically inefficient. I had to tell the vallet to move a car so i could use mine because it was blocked. I had to moce cones to park too.
Overall, the entire organization and staff are sloppy and lazy. I had to use spanish at one point to communicate.
I paid over $1300 to stay for 4 day. I expect better! Please refund me for my inconvenience..

The restaurant has a band until 10pm. Be aware of the location of your room. We had to move rooms so our 1yr old Grand could get some sleep. Once we moved we heard no music. Property is definitely run down but we enjoyed our Family time on the beach and spent little time in our room. Pool is in very bad shape so we opted not to use it. Front desk staff were super friendly especially Kee and John.
