Christiano was great. He was very helpful, friendly and had good suggestions for our ongoing trip down the Amalfi Coast.

It was an amazing stay! Great location, amenities, cleanliness and the host was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this stay!

Christian was extremely helpful and responsive. The "90 steps" property was wonderful. The shower was the first, big, good water pressure, plenty of hot water shower I've had to date in Italy.
The place has style, charm and it perfectly located in Amalfi. If you don't like the 90 steps then you probably won't like the Amalfi coast as every town is the land of stairs.

Christian worked hard to ensure our stay was awesome. I don’t think he sleeps. Wonderful experience with our family. We appreciated his attention to details and ensuring our every need was met. Would stay again

A very nice property crammed- like everything else in Amalfi - into a small and mostly vertical space. The room was a triumph of shoehorning with a separated shower and bathroom.
That all having been said the proprietor was a very nice person and the rooftop terrace where breakfast was located was also very nice. I’d stay here again.

Our stay was positive over all. Amalfi is a very expensive area so if you are working on a budget, this is a good option. The staff was WONDERFUL! Christian was so helpful and he assisted with planning our time while visiting. The breakfast was great and the location was perfect. The building is clean, humid and simple. Like I said, the price of our stay didn't allow for luxury but the location made-up for it. Walking to everything was worth it!

Christian was very friendly and helpful! The place was more than we expected. Easy to get to from the port of Amalfi with plenty of shops and restaurants around. Breakfast on a beautiful rooftop with a view, LOVED IT. We’ll definitely come back with friends and family.

Ok, this hotel is tricky to rate, in one hand the location was great, right in the middle of the town, a short walk to the cathedral and beach, also the guy in the lobby was very helpful and the room was spacious and clean, we arrange to be picked up from and to the airport and it was fast and pleasant, ($120 each way for 2 people), but there are some issues to be aware of: the breakfast was just ok, the 2 ladies attending to it were very nice, but there’s not a lot of choices and some items like cold cuts, cheese and bread run out quickly and sometimes it is never replenish or not in time for you to enjoy it, the bathroom had a smell all the time, even though it was clean, still smelled like sewer, also the toilet seat wasn’t the right one for that toilet, all the jetted tubs you see in the pictures don’t work (at least mine didn’t) room “el conte” and according to what I was told non work. Also in the website pictures shows a small table and 2 chairs but there were not in the room.
The bed was comfortable but they need new towels today!!! It will scratch your face…
I’ve been in many hotels in Italy and in many cities in over 20 different countries, and let me tell you Italian hotels are weird, even the good ones…internet is ok about 70mbps. If I come back to Amalfi, I will consider this hotel again, but only because there’s not a lot of choices if you don’t want to spend $2000 usd per night and for the location.

Christiano (the manager) was AMAZING! He helped my daughters and I with our transfers from/to the airport, helped us plan our site seeing and gave us tips to get around easier. I was a bit nervous about the size of the hotel (very small, small rooms) at first but very pleased once I arrived. This hotel is clean, quaint and close to everything you need for an Amalfi coast trip. Ferry, bus, taxi are all just a a couple blocks away. This hotel is situated in the perfect area of Amalfi. You are surrounded by cute local shops, the square where you can listen to live music, great restaurants and a beautiful boardwalk for your evening stroll. They had a breakfast each morning on the roof which offered your basic morning items. Coffee, pastries, cheeses, meats, freshly wueezednorange juice and homemade inlets to your liking. They also offered a variety of fruit and juices and everything was fresh and delicious. You really get a sense of life in Amalfi by staying here. I HIGHLY recommend it.

This property is not located near city center as listed. It is a very far walk from downtown Almafi. The apartment is large and clean but it’s best to hire a taxi to take you up the hill with your bags.

The hotel is clean, centrally located, and, importantly to my family, has great wi-fi! Christian is super helpful to tourists and has a ton of great tips for how best to enjoy the Amalfi Coast.

Chris, was very helpful. The apartment was just renovated top to bottom and very nice and had a balcony. Walk to main hotel for breakfast, which was very good, was less than 5 minutes. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this property was extremely enjoyable. It is easily accessible to ferries, the beach, shopping, and dining. Staff are incredibly helpful with advice and finding services.
Our room was cute and comfortable. Outside seating areas and the rooftop breakfast area are an added bonus. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Antica Republica. Let me start by saying that Christian is simply fantastic! He is super helpful in making sure we know how to get there, things to do around, and helped coordinate everything. We had a 2 bedroom place. Great location, clean, safe. Breakfast on the terrace was great too.

This was the worst part of our Italy trip. We had reserved a "Delux Apartment" for my husband and me. A couple of days before we arrived we called in to ask for an extra room as my girlfriend wanted to drive us and stay over. The reception guy Christian said he had an extra room and reserved it for her and the day we arrived he said the room was not available and was pushing us to have my girlfriend stayed in our apartment with us!! AND charged her extra $85 Euros to stay in our living room! We din to have privacy as she needed a place to stay. On top of that, he was rude uncommunicative and taking advantage of the situation (be aware of the south.) Poor and tasteless breakfast (hard to do in the area) And served on the terrace/roof super hot. The apartment bathroom was clogged with both shower and zinks, with no pressure water. The location was awful the farthest in all Amalfi!! Believe me! And It is about 250 steps up from the street impossible without a man and they do not help you- and about 25 minutes walk from the main road. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Traumatic experience.

The place is quiet and at distance from the noisy Main Street. However, it is just minutes away from the best action in Amalfi. The best thing is Christian, the property manager, who can be your best guide and host around.

Had a great stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful with tours etc. Breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. Room was clean and comfortable and had opportunity to be eco friendly with change of linen and towels which was a nice change.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel a lot.. Everyone working there was so sweet and helpful. They were so ready to help us.
We are a family with a 2 years old child, and the room was big and comfortable. (Our room was 2 rooms connected one.) View from balcony was nice and shower worked great.
Breakfast was served in rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed fantastic view. They had boiled eggs, omelettes, fried zucchini, eggplants, sausages, ham, cheese, yogurt, bread, sweet pastries, cookies, fruits, etc.. and very good coffee.
The hotel is located in center of Amalfi so we could reach everywhere so easily. Go to beach, take a boat... Everything was within 1-5 mins walk. There were stairs in order to get into the hotel and hotel rooms but we didn't have any trouble with a small child.
I would love to stay here again if I get a chance to go back to Amalfi in the future. :)

The desk clerk, Christian, was incredibly helpful. He met us at the foot of the steps of St. Anthony’s and helped us navigate our car to the entrance of the hotel. Our room was very comfortable. The rooftop breakfast was delicious and the view was beautiful. When we walked out of the hotel and down the stone steps, we entered the best part of Amalfi. Right there were so many shops and restaurants. It was the perfect location.

excellent place to stay. room was great. you will be on the main street of amalfi. steps from all the action. the windows block all sound. hotel manager helped with many things, restaurant reservations, activity recommendations, storage of luggage on last day. the highlight is the breakfast. it is a full spread of tasty food, fruit, drinks all served on the rooftop terrace overlooking the beautiful scenery.. you will be thrilled with this hotel.

Fabulous, family-friendly location in the middle of town with direct access to the beach, shops, restaurants, sights, and bus/ferry/taxi transportation. Super comfy beds and pillows and WONDERFULLY COLD AIR CONDITIONING!!! Very efficient room that contained everything we needed (and then some!) — towels, linens, hangers, shampoo, electric tea pot, USB outlets, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and even several pairs of flip-flops for the beach! Very thoughtful owner named Christian who went above and beyond to accommodate our travel needs and to provide pertinent information about food, transportation, and shopping in the area. Our children had their own separate room with bunk beds (which they loved!) and both rooms were equipped with satellite TVs. All this plus a beautiful terrace overlooking busy Amalfi and (free) rooftop breakfast every day! So glad we decided to stay here! Highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Amalfi! Thank you so much for everything Christian! We hope to see you again very soon :-)

Wonderful, extremely helpful staff. Christian and Angela we’re simply the best, and helped us silly Americans with everything from figuring out quirks in our itinerary to reminding us of mini bar charges (sorry, Angela!). We watched the city come alive the evening of the St. Andreas Festival in the square. Wonderful time. Perfect location!
4.0 / 10.0
Great location! But very, very small rooms. We had a double connecting room, and weren’t aware that two twin beds meant bunk beds. The location of this hotel made up for that though. You’re right in the main square of this beautiful quaint town. Room was very clean, and had all the amenities you would need.

I loved the location close to the piazza. The room was very clean. We felt welcomed and we felt like family.
The staff was friendly ,accommodating ,and helpful. Roberta and Josephina prepared a wonderful breakfast that was served on the terrace.

Nice hotel in good location. Only improvement would be a new mattress on our beds!
2.5 / 10.0
Our stay was lovely - Christian was always ready to help, the hotel was in a great spot although a small flight of stairs with a big bag was a challenge - the room was all we needed, perhaps the bed spreads could use an update. All in all a great place.
4.0 / 10.0
The hotel was situated in a great area. Having the balcony was nice and the balcony door kept it surprisingly very quiet. The bed was a bit thin - which was alright. The room size was great for Italy. The staff was very helpful. We were in the room downstairs- I’d be curious what it was like upstairs. Overall a decent hotel that I would go back to. I wish it was more updated but still probably very typical for the area. Amalfi is beautiful and I hope to go back one day!
