We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were so attentive - always offering to help with advice or services. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and constant coffee refills . Great way to start the day. The hotel is in an ideal location around 10 mins walk to the old town. Such a nice walk in too. If you’re driving then the hotel is located not far from the main highway road that goes through all of Crete. Really handy!

The front desk girl was amazing, she directed us to beautiful areas and nice restaurants. The included breakfast was fantastic and they keep the breakfast open even later than indicated. The staff were great, don’t forget to tip for the great service. It’s a few minutes walking to Chania old port. Beautiful hotel, keep the greatness up.

Absolutely beautiful hotel at a very affordable price!! The staff were absolutely lovely, especially the reception team, nothing was too much and they were able to upgrade us and move us to a room overlooking the pool when we asked. They went above and beyond and purchased oat milk for me to have coffee with breakfast as I am vegan. Cannot recommend this hotel enough and if I were to come back to Crete I would not hesitate to stay here again!

I booked a Double room, only to walk in and find it was a Twin, no biggie but it was a faff to have to wait in the lobby whilst housekeeping switched it over.
Lunch was disappointing and expensive.
I travel often and I can say definitively that I have never heard such loud road noise in a hotel room before, it felt like I was sleeping on the pavement and persisted all night. Thankfully the hotel staff were accommodating, eventually moving me to a room on the other side of the hotel, but only after a couple of sleepless nights. I would expect better sound proofing from a hotel of this cost and star rating.

My family loved our stay at Akali! The staff was friendly and helpful and the proximity to the city center was perfect for us. We’d highly recommend Akali to all visitors.

Small hotel in the city centre. No views, and bathroom a little cramped. The friendliest staff and wonderful service. Value for money about right. Good location. We really enjoyed our stay and the city is fantastic

The overall stay was great. The hotel itself is a bit old style and could have a better modern touch. Nektarios from reception is a nice anf helpful person.

Great location near Nea Chora beach and the old town! The rooms are clean and have all the necessary amenities. And most importantly olive oil soaps from ABEA! The pool is not mind-blowing, but considering the central location it couldn't really be much bigger. Some items from room service are a bit expensive, but who could resist ordering drinks directly to the pool? There's only a few parking spots right outside the hotel, but we were lucky to find a vacant one every day. All in all, this is a great place to stay in Chania!

I had a lovely one night stay. The staff was amazing, the hotel was well located, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was great.

Hotel is in a odd area without any other hotels around it, but quiet and you can easily walk to the harbour and Nea Chora beach. Hotel itself is a little outdated but clean and the staff do everything to make your stay go well. There was constant cleaning in the rooms around me so the noise can be too much if you’re spending time in your room. Pool area is small but just the right size for a quick swim at the end of the day.

Beautiful hotel and room with a comfortable bed. More modern than I expected. Great staff. Good breakfast. Walkable to everything and a couple blocks from main bus station. I would stay here again.

Overall, it’s a good hotel. Just a little bit old.

Good location in Chania with easy access to town and waterfront, but located on a main road that gets very busy at some times of the day. Rooms have sliding doors that reduce sound, useful at night, but take away the ability to benefit from sitting out on a balcony in the sun.
For a similar hotel room price and facilities I would consider other choices in the area.

Staff very friendly.
Good location; very close to local restaurants, supermarket and old town. 10 minutes to walk to scenic harbour.

Great hotel, service was excellent. If I ever found myself in Crete on business again I would stay here.

This is not a holiday hotel. The hotel mainly caters for business men and airline crew stopovers who get priority. The pool is unusable as previous visitors have found, narrow path surrounds it, little sun and very poor outlook. The Hotel is on a very busy road 24/7 road noise is not relaxing, it can even be heard in the rear bedrooms, the rear bedrooms overlook apartment blocks and half built buildings, the front overlooks the busy road, shops and unsightly buildings. The rear bedroom we had was a refurbished one, its was ok, but the bathroom was very small and although they stated we had been given a large bed, it was one of the smallest on the floor of bedrooms. The bar is not a typical friendly hotel bar, its dark surroundings make it unwelcoming. We were very disappointed with our stay and hope others are not disappointed as we were. I wish we could have moved, but at £900 for 1 week B&B we couldnt afford to do so. We thought the Hotel was situated in the old town of Chania but its not, its a 10-15 walk to it mainly down the busy road. The beach is also a 10 minute walk which is not a problem, but its nothing startling when you get there. The hotel staff were pleasant but we were not there priority. The only good thing was each evening we walked into the old town to eat, we ate somewhere different each night and had some great food, I wish the hotel had been in this quarter as it was charming and relatively quiet.

Great stay with very helpful staff, breakfast so plentiful you could not do it justice. Incredibly comfortable beds & great bathroom facilities. Hotel even provided towels to take to the beach! Very impressed.

Overall a nice stay here - the location (15 minute walk to the city center), service staff and breakfast were very nice. The room (we had a standard) and outdoor pool are nothing special though.

I really enjoyed my stay at your hotel, Both times, within two weeks. My only recommendation would be to allow the occupant the ability to continue to run the air conditioner while they are out of the room. I especially liked your breakfast and that i was allowed to eat before the required time. Perfect location, awesome staff 😀

Aqali is very nice hotel, close to the beach, 8 minutes walking distance, close to the old town, many restaurants around, a super market is 2 minutes far. Breakfast is great with fresh orange juice & different kind of eggs! rooms are clean & nice, some of them are very new, the one we stayed in was spacious & comfortable (212) & has a street view but it wasnt a problem because all day we were out :)the most important in Akali Hotel is the staff. they really take care about the clients requests, they do their best to make us happy, very helpful, so kind especially NICKOLAOS at the reception, he was always smiling & supportable & gave us very good information.Chania is a beautiful place, i will come again soon & i will stay for sure in Akali hotel.I would like to thank the Hotel manager who i didnt meet but who sent us on our first day fruits to our room with a souvenir! the hospitality is great!
