Very cozy and perfect for family trip. The property is part of the whole Hilton Grand Vacation village. All amenity from other Hilton properties are open to use.

Very clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and efficient.

When we arrived and checked in, my room was not ready, so we decided to go for dinner and return later.
When we came back, we noticed trash bags stored in front of our door, with trash scattered on the floor. Our room was located in front of the facility room, which seemed to contribute to the mess. A few items, like tissue paper, were missing but were replaced the following day.
Unfortunately, the concierge didn't reach out until two days before my departure, which left me unaware of all the discounts and benefits available during my stay.
On a positive note, the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job throughout my visit, and the resort was well-maintained. The nearby shopping centers for groceries and dining were very convenient, and the resort's location on the northwest side of the Big Island made for a less crowded and peaceful experience. I will consider returning in the future

Property was not that bad. Quiet . I recommend to bring off spray for mosquitoes in case . At night there's alot of cockroaches and lizard. So close the screen or ur door at backyard. There pool beach towel per person and you can't request for new one.

Great location, has all the amenities of the Hilton Waikoloa Resort but feels like an escape from the crowds at the hotel. Spacious rooms, great views all around and convenient location to shopping and dining.

We enjoyed our stay at Kohala Suites. There was plenty of room for our party of four plus two grandbabies, and the layout of the unit is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to our next trip back to the Big Island and Kohala Suites.

The rooms are great. No restaurants on site, no coffee shop on site, no marketplace on site. You have to walk or jump on a shuttle for any of the mentioned.

Friendly staff. We were in building 16. Building needs a lot of work. The elevator wasn’t working properly and I got stuck in it twice with my daughters. My husband had to force it open for us. Staff and the front desk were aware of this problem but didn’t bother warning us prior. The front desk told me that they had same issues with the elevator in building 15 but building 16 had started doing that as well. Outlets in the kitchen didn’t work. At first I thought it was the coffee maker so I had housekeeping bring another but it was the outlets. The master bedroom was nice.

Service: The checkin was a bit rough. It took a while to resolve issues with our reservation.
Cleanliness: There was old food in upper cabinets in the kitchen.
Condition: One TV needed repair, which was addressed promptly. The toaster was completely busted and a fire hazard, but we discovered it on the last day.

Great location and property. It is part of the Hilton vacation club properties on the island and located between the Bay Club and Kings Land.

The staff was fantastic. They were all super friendly and very fast with any requests. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are a lot of amenities available and they have a shuttle to all parts of the other properties.

Perhaps because we purchased thru Expedia we were given the room. Ants in kitchen after first night, leaf blowers sent dust into our ground floor unit. Smoke alarm battery low and started chirping at 3am, called twice starting at 6am, would have handled it myself but I didn’t pack a ladder. 9:15a someone came. Still the Big Island is paradise and I shouldn’t complain but I doubt I would stay at this Hilton property again.

The property and amenities were great. We enjoyed the friendly staff and the availability of the pools at the Hilton Waikoloa. Our room was relatively clean except for the bathrooms had hair from previous occupants, which was pretty gross.

We stayed here last year and absolutely loved it, we were so looking forward to stay here again this year, unfortunately this time around we were left very disappointed.
To start, I booked the exact same room as I did last year, prices this year were close to double! I requested the same room as last year or at the very least a 2nd floor unit, I also called ahead of time and was told this should not be a problem.
Upon checking in I was informed that 2nd floor units are apparently 'premium' & I did not book that, so they could only give us a 1st floor unit.
We stayed in room 1913 for a week, although we loved our overall stay in Waikoloa, Kohala Suites was disappointing. Room 1913 has a bug problem: tiny ants all over the kitchen, they seem to come out of everywhere! Mosquito infestation in the twin bedroom room, you'd get bit just by walking by, the worst part was finding a cockroach on our last night! (See photos)
I was going to bring this up when checking out, but the representative didn't even ask how our stay was!?
Overall we were very disappointed with our stay, and feel like we overpaid. They do have so much staff onsite, but they all seem to be driving around in golf carts all day and not doing any cleaning.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great first experience here for our familys staycation. Staff was very friendly &helpful. Our room was awesome and we really loved the fully equipped kitchen that we used to cook all of our meals &washer and dryer inside of our suite to do all of our laundry. That made it very convenient for us. Being a housekeeper for 20 years, our room could have used a little more detailed cleaning. The floor was left a little sticky & hair was left behind in the bathroom and shower. But overall it was good. Comfortable and spacious. My kids loved the pool &slide but unfortunately it got closed one afternoon while we were there because of some other guests teenage kids were rough playing &horsing around on the slide but overall it was great. We enjoyed our stay &will definitely be back. We look forward to it. Mahalo to the all staff. They made our stay a more enjoyable one.

My family and I have now stayed at probably over ten resorts over all the four major Hawaiian Islands and this is now our favorite. Why?
The condo unit itself feels new, clean, and modern. It's spacious with up to date furnishings. Our unit came with all the high end amenities like dishwasher, microwave, and in room washer and dryer.
The property has three pools. One noisy pool with slides and a bar and two quiet ones. However, you won't be spending that much time at these pools because you have free access to the Hilton Waikoloa with all its many splendid facilities.

Spacious unit; friendly staff and nice location. We visited the ocean tower and we prefer Kohala. Ocean Tower was crowded, not easily accessible (towels, wristbands,), and only 1 bar open on the opposite side of the property from the pool area with waterslides.

I rented 3 different suites for the weekend. Suite #1615 had so many flies!!! We had to keep swatting them. And there was no pan to heat water in.
The other 2 suites were nice, except # 1821 was supposedly a "golf view," but the view was really a NON-view...but that was fine because I wasn't interested in that anyway...it just seemed like it would be a disappointment for anyone who really wanted that.

A very nice location for a family vacation.
