We stayed in the apartment across the street from the hotel. Very spacious and clean. Parking space ok. Breakfast in the hotel building, tasty and child friendly. Easy to reach from the autobahn. Quiet street located in the suburbs. Self-service kiosk also in the hotel building. Wi-Fi worked ok. COVID measures strict, so it was safe to be there. Nice and friendly staff that spoke to English as well.

It’s a nice little hotel with great staff and super comfortable rooms. Breakfast was plentiful and worth every penny!

This was a very well situated hotel in the middle of the old town. It had a nice layout and was equipped with all necessities of a durable stay. Definitely recommended.

Great hotel, awesome service and very clean. A little out of town but we had free parking and the bus service was right outside the front door if you wanted to use public transportation to get to Speyer center! Would highly recommend!

Una notte in questo albergo dotato di tutti i comfort, pulito, luminoso e in buona posizione. Esperienza da ripetere!

Stayed there one night. Hotel manager greeted us & efficiently booked us in. Room was clean but sleeping was difficult as there was quite hot & no AC. I stayed in first floor so if kept window open I could here noise from the streets. The room included a very powerful fan which made some noise as well. Hotel provided earplugs.

We were very pleased with our stay at the apartment. The position was central so we could easily visit shops and other places by walking and cycling. We had everything we needed in the apartment, in the kitchen etc. It was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. (It would have been more comfortable to have had one more pillow each on the beds) .It was very helpful to be able to store bicycles in the cupboard next to the apartment. Any staff that we met on arrival and leaving were very friendly and helpful, and the information booklet and pack given to us on arrival was very useful. We had a very enjoyable stay and hope to return to these apartments in the future. We would recommend this property to friends and family.

As soon as we walked up to the reception desk to check-in I was welcomed very warmly by Nathalie I got the immediate impression that this was gong to be a nice hotel to stay in and I was not to be disappointed. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms comfortable with little extras such as USB charging sockets, that make your stay that extra bit special. The hotel is a member of City Family hotels which I assume is so form of purchasing & marketing group who work with independent family owned hotels. I am not familiar with this group but the standards at Hotel Am Wartturm is good recommendation, I will look out for them in the future. The hotel is no smoking hotel and I was asked to sign a declaration that I agreed to pay €150 if I smoked in my room. As a none smoker, this was not a problem for me and I fully support the hotels policy. You get the impression that the family are very keen to ensure your stay with them goes as smoothly as possible. There is a list of recommendations of places to go and see in Speyer both during the day and the night-life. The hotel even offers there guests a shuttle service so there is no need to have to worry about getting a taxi.Should I ever need a hotel in Speyer in the future I will book at the Hotel Am Wartturm without doubt.

Pros:Great spot, and great quality! Bathroom and kitchen were much better than imagined. In speyer city center. Nice views of the clock tower out the window. Really enjoyed the apt.
Cons:Beds are new but hard to sleep on for me. Apt close to the city also attracts late night noisy drunks on weekend. My specific apt did not have free parking, €3 per day or every time you enter, so can add up.

Fabulous hotel. Modern facilities, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Yet all of that is spoiled when I check in and they show me coming from the USA. I AM CANADIAN. I live in Canada. Too often I check in to a hotel that I have booked on Expedia.ca (the Canadian site???), and they have me shown as coming from the USA.
I'll book direct next time. The host (Christian) certainly new where Canada was.

The room is compact and a little restricted in size. Shower was very small. The king size bed was actually two twins pushed together. ClenanThe room and facilities were clean. The breakfast was good and presented nicely. The staff were very friendly and and went out of their way to help us when we accidentally left our camera behind.

This hotel (a little out of Speyer) was far better that expected, the room was superb, Breakfast was only 6 euros

From the reviews, I expected something outstanding. We actually got a very helpful and friendly staff in an average hotel located a way from the center, but on a busy street. Everything in the room was fine, but it was a bit on the small side with a generous bathroom. No AC, and it was hot while we were there (we're from Texas, so you can believe it was hot!). The wifi was fine, and the free parking was great. Breakfast wasn't included, but it was reasonably priced, and soft drinks and water were available for very reasonable prices. Oh, and there's no lift, so hope you don't get a top floor roommate if you have heavy bags. I'd stay there again, but don't expect a top-rated hotel. Other friends and customers must be very loyal!

Very nice hotel; met owner and his son - segregation gemutlich. Nice for a night stopover

For the money I would have liked to have tea and coffee making facilities. But apart from that a great hotel for an overnight stop. Very polite staff with great English (beats my poor German). Hotel extremely clean and very 'boutique style'. Large airy rooms and didn't hear a peep.

Excellent hotel but no lift, so not easy for disabled person.

Hotel am Wartturm (meaning near the guard tower) was the best hotel experience I can ever remember. The innkeeper, Christian, is outstanding all around. The hotel is spotlessly clean inside and out, in a quiet location not too far from the center of Speyer. The bed was so comfortable that we asked where we could buy a mattress of such high quality.
Christian gave us many great ideas for things to do and see. Anyone who rates this hotel less than a 5+ shouldn't be allowed to travel. All of the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful, and breakfast was excellent. Speyer is the city of my ancestors.

We were on a business trip and have chosen this hotel as the best voted on trip advisor. Well that was the best possible choice for hundred bucks. Really really recommended hotel for just a walkway from the city centre and the shopping mall.

This was a nice place in Speyer. It is close to the Hockenheimring and convenient. I Would stay here again for another f1 race.

Good solid hotel. Shower was weak and that is the only thing I could complain about. It was quiet and comfortable....all we needed.

I would stay here again any time. The entire hotel was immaculate and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They are fluent in English and seem to truly desire to help.

Christian and the hotel staff were wonderful, and they gave us many ideas for things to do and visit around the area. The service was great at the hotel, as were meals at the bistro there.

Our host Christian and his staff provided excellent service during our stay, and we really enjoyed the good food and conversation at the bistro in the evening. We will plan on staying here again on our next visit.

No elevator. Reception not apparent upon arrival. Convenient parking for motorcycle.

The hotel is generally well situated for Speyer town centre and tourist attractions. Rooms are spacious, clean and maintained to a high standard. The en suite bathooms would put a 4 star hotel to shame!! Staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. The breakfast is very good value, particularly when compared with similar hotels.
The Hotel am Wartturm is very good value, for tourists or business travellers and I have always enjoyed my stay.

I was dissapointed with the location of the hotel - 30-40 minute walk to the town center. It was a very small hotel with limited offerings, not a hotel you want to pick on a business trip.
