We stayed in a 2 bedroom loft cottage. It was lovely and spacious, comfy beds (although I would suggest bringing own pillow). The garden's were lovely and nice pools. The tv in our cottage was in a strange position, ie not in front of the lounges which was a bit frustrating to watch. The restaurant was also being renovated during our stay so no-where to eat but there was a range of courtesy buses available to pubs etc. But all up nice place to stay.

We had booked accommodation with raffertys months ago, providing full details of the current guests, including two young children. Yet what was provided was not child friendly. We made this clear to the reception and felt like the feedback was not acknowledged appropriately. Did not feel like our booking details were even taken into account when being designated a room. The access to parking was not great either. How can guests park anywhere close by with very limited parking anywhere and no access to the garage?

Lovely spot. Rooms are a little tired and are missing a few things, but it was good.

Check in staff were amazing. We got an awesome upgrade. The apartments are awesome, really clean & have everything you need. The 4 pools & numerous tennis courts got a bit of use (mainly pools) loved that both rooms had an ensuite. Overall definitely would recommend.

The office was closed at 6:50pm when we arrived (no prior communication or call confirming), however there was an out of hours number to call, who were helpful in checking in.
The accommodation was fine, dated, but suitable for our stay.
There was a large amount of dead ants in the cutlery drawer, as well as a couple of live cockroaches running around, the following morning we also found a large amount of live ants running around kitchen (no food left out as we ate out and didnt have a chance to buy any).
On a positive the amenities were great, tennis courts, pools which were great for kids.

Toni the kind lady at reception was super helpful!
Kids loved the heated swimming pool and all of the tennis courts.
Exploring at caves, beach and nearby was great fun

The resort is really nice has 3 pool beautiful pools, reception contacted me to give me the password for late check in and everything went well, the last day I asked if I could pay late check out as it was my birthday and I wanted to go for a swim the receptionist was really kind and didn't charge me at all the late check out, the only issue that I had was that I requested two rooms with queen bed and one room with two single beds and they gave me two rooms with two single beds but it wasn't a big deal we just put the beds together and everything was ok.
The house where we stayed is in good condition but some wardrobes smell like humid or something but again it wasn't a big deal. The price was a little bit higher because was public holiday but was still affordable
I will definitely book again but I would recommend contact directly the resort if you need specific bedrooms set up.

We have been going to Raffertys for over 20 years. We love the resort, facilities and location which is fantastic however the rooms definitely need some work and attention.
The lounges and dining room tables and chairs are atrocious and completely uncomfortable. The bathrooms are old and need work. Most flyscreens are broken so you can’t leave the door open as mosquitoes will come in. The pillows and bedding also needs updating.
Overall the interior of the rooms urgently needs work.
The facilities generally are beautiful. It is a real shame there is no Kids club in the school holidays anymore- no movie nights or even feeding the birds and pelicans either. Many of the buildings that used to house other restaurants and other activities have just been left to become destroyed and it’s such a same. I’m not sure we will return to Raffertys again. We love this place but it needs a fair bit of work unfortunately.

Very clean rooms and kitchen space. Very bright, needs curtains in bedrooms, mattress very old, felt every spring, sheets and blankets for bedding. $80 for lock out call out free at 630pm Saturday
Broken glass around footpaths.
Fun boat hire facilities and tennis courts

It was a beautiful family holiday home in a nice location.
It would have been a much better if the weather was good.
We’ll definitely be back there

We had a family stay and enjoyed our visit. Quiet location, 2 bedroom loft cottage. We found the accommodation to be spacious and well situated. We enjoyed the surrounds and wildlife. Pleasant and welcoming staff. Kids enjoyed outdoor and covered pool. Our main issue was around cleanliness and we felt the bedding could have been better cleaned. The use of clean sheets wrapped around a quilt that did not appear to be washed was not what we expected. There was makeup spilt on the carpet. The crockery was not optimally cleaned. Staff were helpful when we advised of the broken items in the kitchen and let them know the makeup spill was there upon our arrival. We were happy with our courtyard and balcony overlooking a nature area and the gardens and communal areas were well maintained. We enjoyed the boat trip from the local company on Lake Macquarie.

We loved our stay. It was excellent and we will be returning. One suggestion/request...could the heated pool be kept a little warmer in winter? Otherwise we enjoyed the restaurant, loved the outlook of our townhouse and generally we’re very pleased with our stay.

No Wifi in the rooms despite Expedia entry that promised free Wifi. Manager claimed it was Expedia’s fault and we were left to suck it up. Luckily for us, mobile reception held up so we could watch what we wanted in the evenings. The rest of the resort was as expected. A little isolated but a nice spot on the lake with activities on site and a heated pool - great in the cooler weather!

I enjoyed the location, amenities and proximity to the lake . Unfortunately, we couldn't use the indoor pool with my kids due to a raucous group of men drinking alcohol and swearing plus the outside bins for the property was filled with maggots.

Very relaxing feel with plenty of things to do

Spacious 4 bedroom place with linen supplied. No wifi and no access to the garage which was not advertised.
Dining seats 10 with additional outdoor setting.
Lack of cooking utilities which made it difficult to use the bbq facilities. No basic salt or pepper provided. Lack of bin liners for main kitchen bin.
And only 2.5 bathrooms as only toilet in loft. Generous with toiletries provided.
Pools were well kept and maintained. Plenty of tennis courts and the jet buzz ride is a must for a thrilling adventure.
All staff were friendly and willing to accommodate where possible

The resort itself apart from the accomadation was fansastic.
The accomadation we were given was at best pathetic.

We were warmly welcomed at reception and given our keys etc. When we entered the property it was fairly clean but not to a very good standard (debris on carpet, dirt/sand marks on the lounge etc). Resort grounds are great and the kids had a great time at the Jetty and exploring. The air conditioning worked intermittently, we were advised that it had issues and they would repair asap but not over the weekend as it was a public holiday. The temperature in the townhouse was quite cold, especially at night and the beds only had a thin sheet and blanket with no additional blankets provided, on a few nights we were very cold when the A/C wouldn't turn on. I then tried to do a load of washing and found out the drier didnt work, it would spin but no air was being circulated. Upon checkout we advised the reception of our issues and they just brushed them off, almost as if we'd broken the appliances ourselves. At double what we would normally pay for a 3 night stay (cant quote dollar figure due to Hotels.com policy) i was expecting better value for money and everything to work, or at least be repaired at some time during our stay. Would only come back if the price was significantly lower. For this kind of money better places are available.

Beautiful spot for a holiday with the family. Checking in was seamless. Amenities need to be updated, other then that, will definitely be back in the summer.

The house was fabulous, large and sleeps 10. probably should advise that garage isn’t available for parking.

The property is old and rundown. Not enough parking for visitors. Difficult to contact reception - not able to contact them by phone and they did not respond to email.

The resort has so much potential....it needs money spent on it .....staff were good.....Cams Wharf cafe was the only restaurant open and the service was bad and the food was terrible... also had potential if had been run by others.
The location is magic just needs some TLC

Beautiful place to stay but just the little things like the all the kitchen wasn't clean
The balcony was had red back spiders iwhich got rid off them. The lady were great

The cottage was run down. The carpeted area (stairs and bedrooms) hadn't been vacuumed when we arrived. Kitchen not very well equipped which was challening since the resort restaurant wasn't open. The property had foxtel but hardly any channels were available. No wifi. Resort facilities were good. The beach was lovely. Good watersports and tennis. Lovely grounds, great for kids.

Loved the lakeside location and comfortable resort stay.

Wow what a beautiful place to stay! We stayed in the room with a loft. There were 2 bedrooms downstairs & another upstairs. 2 bathrooms, laundry, front & back sitting areas, fully equipped kitchen, 2 tv’s. The room was spotless and quiet. The gardens & property were well maintained. We loved our stay & would definitely return.
Only downside- reception is open from 10-2 & check in was from 2 onwards,, doesn’t make sense. We were meant to get an email with check in info but we didn’t. We were however able to track someone down that helped us out.
Overall we loved it. A great family holiday, & there is boat hire as well. Thank you Raffertys for making our stay memorable.

Not up to standard , we won’t come back. Price is too high.

Nice accommodation, easy after hours check in. Nice spot right on the water.

The cleanliness of the 3 bedroom cottage No 81. There were cobwebs in the corners of the rooms, window frames and it needed to be vacuumed. So outdated! Simpson washing machine and dishwasher did not perform well, old carpet, musty odour, flyscreens where loose. My daughter had so many mosquito bites luckily she isn't allergic to them. Reported the cleanliness after I got the key and inspected the cottage but the response I got from the lady at the front desk was house keeping had gone home for the day and nothing could be done that day. She said house keeping couldn't be done on Monday as they were short staffed and very busy. I was offered a full refund but I would have to wait for my refund, so I declined. I wouldn't have found a property available during the peak season. We came to Raffertys to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The pictures shown on the website are misleading, showing properties having modern furniture and appliances. We certainly didn't have that.

Lovely space, sunset, pools, lake access, lovely reception, licences restaurants.

Raffertys is a lovely resort. Sadly it rained a lot while we were there so we couldn’t take advantage of the gorgeous main pool, but fortunately our house was a short walk from an undercover heated pool - kids loved it. The on-site Italian restaurant was lovely. Our 3-bed house was spacious and comfortable, though starting to feel a little tired and rundown. But seemed fine for the cost.
3.0
House outdated.. needed a good clean very dusty.. its like they clean around the furniture not under it.. moved couch and moved bed and found dead cockroach under bed and alot of dust. And found so much junk and food scraps under couch. Its a shame because the property is gorgeous... amazing pools and tennis court and lakeside activities. Shame some cleanliness ruined our stay. Owner should spend money on some furniture updates. I asked to be moved to better house and complained to reception but response was that it was booked out.
3.0
Whilst overall we were very happy with our stay , I wanted to raise a concern in relation to our check-in which saw your staff allow someone other than me ( the person who booked the room) to gain access to the room prior to my arrival .
Whilst the people in question where our quests, you had no way of knowing that fact and they could in reality have been anyone who knew of our booking.
In future something as simple as a phone call could confirm the quests identify and thus potentially prevent someone with less than good intentions from accessing the accommodation.
