Nice clean hotel with good in-room facilities. Bed was a bit soft for my taste otherwise no issues at all!

Hotel looked lovely on approach and the decor inside was also very nice. Female receptionist was rather miserable and clearly didnt want to be there however the male receptionist was lovely and so friendly. Room was very nice however bed not that comfortable and the bathroom floor wasnt that clean and hair and cobwebs where noticed. Lovely big warm fluffy towels after a nice shower was great. Personally think £155 for a nights stay without breakfast was expensive, but i guess your paying for the name. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and drinks in the bar owned by the hotel was also very nice. staff in the bar and restaurant were very good and attentive however there was a mix up with wheelchair access

Welcome at the reception very friendly and efficient, Service and staff in their restaurant brilliant from Andrew the manager to Kelly making sure every thing ran smoothly.
Food was exceptional.
They also have EV chargers.
We will be going back very soon.

Booked at the last minute - far exceeded expectations! Immaculate condition, the room was gorgeous, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. I also tend to sleep terribly at hotels but the bed and room were SO comfy. Will definitely be my go-to on future trips to Felixstowe- thank you!

The hotel was not finished to a good standard

Room was very comfortable, fittings wise but as it was South facing it was hot all the time and there was no aircon or fan. Breakfast very good, didn't have evening meals. Bar was very good with an excellent range of spirits. Staff were all friendly and attentive. The hotel had just been taken over by Marco Pierre White and not all rooms (ours included) had been fully refurbished. It will be interesting to see what room prices will be in future as I would definitely return

Newly opened a few hiccups but looked after wonderfully.
Amazing 3 course Sunday lunch made to feel very special on our anniversary Thank you

The hotel is currently going through refurbishment with freshly decorated rooms and a new fancy restaurant (MPW) being installed.
Despite this my room was lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and in particular the young chap serving breakfast.
Apparently the day I checked out was going to be closure for three weeks whilst works continue. I'm sure when everything is finished it'll be an even nicer hotel.
Well done to the staff and management for continuing to provide good service and rooms during the refurb.

Upon arrival the gentleman who signed me in was super friendly and considering he was relatively new to the job his customer service was excellent. The issues started at around 1 am in the morning when I was woken by (and I’m not quite sure how to phrase this) but a couple in a nearby room enjoying some alone time! To say the walls were paper thin is an understatement. In addition to this and at around 1:30am a load of drunken louts descended on the hotel knocking each others doors, having extremely loud conversations and being all round annoying and disrespectful to other residents. Finally the fire alarm was a constant through out a period of time. I could t work out of it was the drunken idiots setting it off or not but either way it was annoying and meant that I got Betty little sleep. The hotel itself is currently having works done. The room was very clean and fresh. The mattress however was rock solid. I would stay here again but with the hotel not having 24 hour manned front desk it means that the guests are free to do as they please and no one to call raise concerns.

Really comfortable and quiet with friendly check-in staff. Would stay again.

Good location. Really small ‘double’ bed. Friendly staff.

All good easy reach also lovely staff

Room was very comfortable and decorated nicely the only issue we had was no hot water in the morning so we could not shower. We was offered a room the other side of the hotel to wash which we declined due to the inconvenience
When checking out the reception was not interested when I wanted to discuss the water issue the receptionist just walked off and wouldn't even discuss issue
Other than poor reception stay was good

Stayed in room 218. Bathroom had mould around bath, ice cream container under leaky bathroom radiator. One normal plug socket in whole room. Communal areas of hotel upstairs very worn, carpets worn, tape holding carpet together outside room. Dirt and pen/pencil marks on walls. To make it worse, guests in room 217 were smoking pot/weed all afternoon and night - caused smell to come into my room and all down corridor - I am not a prude at all, but it was cheap weed too and smelt more like cats urine. Had to open bedroom window to try and get away from smell. Walls thin, could hear guests in next room snoring all night. Slept for about 1hour max.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel, because it could be a really good place to stay with just a few small changes and improvements. I was actually going to give it 3 stars, but there was one big thing that made me put them down to 2 which I will go into. My first impressions were really good, it's a lovely old building, has ample parking and a nice reception area. However, we got there just after 3 and the girl on reception just said wait over there - didn't tell us why, how long she would be or any information of any kind. We sat on the provided chairs whilst she seemingly did paperwork and then had a chat with another member of staff. After about 20 minutes she let us check in, but could only provide one key, which was annoying when there was 3 of us. The room itself was large and well equipped, plenty of lights, nice décor, big comfy bed plus a sofa bed etc. But upon close inspection we started to see issues - the wall above the desk was filthy and covered in various stains, the lamps and the TV were thick with dust, the TV was wonky and the bracket was obviously broken so we couldn't correct this. Then there was the bathroom, which was mostly fine except for the bath/shower, which was not only covered in grime but the dial for the shower was broken and came off in my hand! The breakfast was very average indeed, cheap ingredients, and the lady serving it on the second day was incredibly rude. They need to clean better and train the staff better too!

Nice and quiet place

I stay away with work a lot and stay in many hotels all over the UK.
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
The room was very dated with a musty smell about it.
The mattress was terrible. I could feel every spring in my back.
The only positive was the staff who were both friendly and engaging.
Avoid unless you like a reason to have to use a chiropractor!

Not so good as the bedroom was not clean the carpet needed cleaner the windows were in of clean and the curtains were not clean or able to close them as they were torn that the windows were on a downstairs room I did mention this to a lady on reception The bathroom was not suitable as shower spray did not work causing water to cover of my husband’s shirt and it was no mention of the water to fill the kettle for drinks by using the water from the bath shower. The staff did all that they had the knowledge.

Book though site got there was met by a very rude and unprofessional person rate was changed room was near a plant room no sleep and when mentioned was told I don’t understand
3.8
Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
I had to move from the first room because of mold, dust and a window that wouldn’t shut.
The second room was ok but the curtains were hanging off and again everywhere was dusty.
The lady on reception when I checked out was shockingly rude.
Nearly £12 for a breakfast that I wouldn’t have paid £5 for normally, dried everything except for the mushrooms that were swimming in grease.
How best western give this hotel their name is beyond me.
Avoid at all costs

Hotel staff were very friendly but room was tired. Unfortunately we weren't informed there was a party booked in on the Friday night so we couldn't eat on premises, not even bar food was available which I find poor. We hadn't planned on eating out as there weren't a lot of eateries about. There was also a band playing which was a lot louder than normal and our room was directly over the event, it was like being in the room with them, disappointed.

Property was a little dated but ok for a business trip. Breakfast was good and cooked to order
3.8
The whole hotel is very very tired. Very narrow run down hallways. My bedroom smelt like someone had been smoking in it previously. As a lone woman on a business trip, I didnt like the fact that I had been given a room where to open the window, I was on the flat roof level so kept it closed and locked all night. The bed had a huge dip in it, the shower was grubby and the shower curtain just completely yellow and off putting. very loud dog and guests all evening so didnt get much sleep at all. Was considering sleeping in my car instead!
3.8
Great spot equal distance from Town and sea being just a few minutes stroll away. Perfect to have on site free parking, entrance area had comfy sofas and seats. Management gave a warm welcome and managed everyone arriving at once. Nice hotel that does not oversell itself so just as you would expect, clean, serviceable and fab deep baths with showers. Would definitely stay again.
3.8
The room was lovely shower could be a bit better as when the base get wet it’s very slippery and room could do with a good Dustin but other than that it was lovely and will stay there again

After a tiring drive from my home I was
welcomed by a pleasant receptionist who made me feel welcomed to the hotel. The room allocated to me was clean and comfortable. My breakfast was much appreciated. Very edable.
Overall my stay was enjoyable and I shall certainly use the same hotel on future trips.

Wonderful and would reccoemnd to all

Room was small but quite cosy, Bathroom could do with freshening up, shower pressure was poor. On the plus side breakfast was very nice!
3.8
The Staff as you would expect were really nice, however nice they were does not make up for the fact that my room was filthy.
The carpet looked like it had never seen a hoover and there was popcorn around the bed, the windowsill was covered in hair I cleaned this prior to using it as a makeshift desk.
The bathroom felt grubby and the toilet seat would not stay upright, it was also missing one of the plastic stands.

We spent a day in Felixstowe and were very pleased with this hotel. The bed and room were large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, we would stay here again.
3.8
room dingey and poor condition
3.8
Beware of room 216 - there is absolutely no excuse for this room being marketed as a double room. There is insufficient room for two people to pass one another in the room. Whilst one person is mobile in the room, the other has to perch on the bed. This hotel is definitely in the need of updating. The only saving grace of this hotel is the staff who were most polite and helpful. It’s a pity they don’t have a better product to add their excellent service to.
We decided to stay an extra night in Felixtowe but not at this hotel - couldn’t wait to get out of that claustrophobic room so checked out early morning! The view from room 216 is just as off putting as its size.

Extremely helpful, cheerful and pleasant staff. Excellent evening meals. Breakfast is not so good and finishes too early for those on holiday. Occasionally difficult to find a receptionist.
3.8
Staff where excellent but the hotel states quite hotel not true
There was a loud disturbance with raised voices which lasted from 2.am until 3.30am together with doors banging and movement of furniture from the room next door, they then seemed to leave the room then returned at 4.30am to continue their disagreement until 5.00 am
By this time we both had no sleep
3.8
There was little parking SI has to park near by , on arrival the staff were un attentive, on arriving In the room there was no table for my laptop so had to work on the window ledge which I had to clean before hand , the carpet was sticky the room dirty , mentioned to staff no other rooms Available, went for food out but due to very bad rain stayed in , the starter was served on a cold plate at the same time as the main also on a cold plate the main was served as the chef wanted a drink , I was watched by 2 dogs close to my table , a member of the team said breakfast was free in the morning and would re emburse the card for the £13 breakfast charge , after a bad nights sleep I woke and went for breakfast 1 sausage 1 tomato 1 rasher of bacon a table spoon of beans , some egg and toast the toast was the best bit of the breakfast , and certainly not worth £3 let alone £13? what a dump , won’t be staying there again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone dump if I was you I’d go stay there and then you will remove them from your fab site

this is the 2nd time we've stayed at the best Weston in Felixstowe; the location is great. The staff are very friendly and happy to help.
The beds need new mattresses and the rooms could do with an upgrade. The main bar/dinning area to me, always smells slightly damp. Love the little bar and the happy friendly staff. thanks BW @ Felixstowe.

Room was fairly basic, but clean and affordable. Hotel in a good location, near seafront and shops. Helpful staff. Couldn't get wifi to work.
