We where in a very small room with only one sink and we had to go to the 4th floor to access our private toilettes and shower.
The room itself does not have any windows and the AC inside did not work as good as it should.

Bathroom, when the shower was used water spread all over the floor, making it dirty and wet.

Really clean hotel with all the amenities you need. Basic but it’s what you pay for. The location is ideal as it’s very central. Was kindly upgraded to a private bathroom too and the 10% discount for the restaurant is a bonus which was excellent food. The woman on reception was very helpful and kind too. Overall an excellent experience.

Nice that they have a family room option. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel with shared bathrooms, no air con so it was very hot. It was loud in the area so we had to choose between being woken by noise with windows open or being too hot to sleep. Breakfast was good, lots of options, in a antique dining room.

Be aware that it is a windowless room and toilet and shower are on the floor above. As long as you are okay with that, your stay will be sufficiently enjoyable.

Hotel located in the corner of main square which is very convenient. The easyroom means it is in another building (to different from refreshed Hotel de’Angelo)with traditional Italian design. High ceiling makes the room bigger but still hard to arrange two big luggage. Common bathroom is no problem. Weekend nights’ noise from square last over midnight. No A/C but we use electric fan.

Property well located in Locarno city center. The triple room we booked was not in the hotel but in a nearby inhabited building.
The room was outdated but I don't see that as an issue.
The breakfast buffet was cheap we paid 20chf for 3.
The room didn't have ANY cooling system, not even a fan, and is located above a bar. One of the worst nights we had, it was way too hot but when you open the window you cannot sleep because of the noise. I'm not big on AC , but surely a couple of fans is not a big investment ?? We were so glad we only booked one night!

Family rooms are spacious. Ours had a balcony overseeing the piazza. Perfect for affordable weekend away. Plus very central.

Both check in clerks were miserable either with the job or because of the conditions; the lobby was 89 degrees and humid, no air flow or AC. The room was 85 degrees all night, no AC, one table top fan for a large room that slept my four person family. Couldn’t open the doors to the street because it’s drunk young people talking and shouting all night, ALL NIGHT. We did open the window for a bit because it was so hot in the room. We had to close it because we couldn’t sleep due to noise and it didn’t seem to help with the heat. I asked for a second fan at reception and she said they only have one fan per room. The breakfast was ok. The staff are extremely slow to stock items that run out. Specifically water, let alone cold water. The water was a single refillable 2 liter container that everyone was waiting on. As soon as they would refill it, there would be a line to empty it, two people later it was empty again. Idiots are running this hotel. For how much they charge they can buy bigger better fans, they can figure out how to stock the breakfast more effectively, and they can cool the check in lobby at a minimum for themselves. I would stay again only in the winter. The beds were comfortable, however the bathroom is a shared bathroom, two bathrooms for the entire floor of approximately 8-10 rooms. My wife hated that but I didn’t because it was the most affordable hotel in Switzerland and was still the worst experience. Even worst American hotels have A/C.

The room was lovely except for that it was no aircon.. The breakfast was good but a bit expensive. The hotel has a perfect location in locarno and has accomadating staff.

EasyRooms Dell'Angello and it's sister establishment across the alley are situated at the quiet end of Piazza Grande in the heart of the city and close to shopping arcades and restaurants, and within walking distance from the train station, the port and the Lake. I booked the room without realizing that the room didn't have private bathroom. However, we found the room very clean and are stay was comfortable. The building has an old world feel yet has all the modern conveniences. The Wi-Fi coverage in the room was very good.

I booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend on New Years Eve. They enjoyed their stay, hotel was clean, friendly staff and handy cheap parking. They had a shared bathroom which wasn’t ideal but ok.

The room was exceptionally small (the single bed took up the whole length of one side of the room and even the shared bathroom beside the room was double the size of the room!) That said, the room was clean and there was a fan to keep the room from being too hot. The location was great and the restaurant attached to the hotel was good eating. Just fine for a one night stay.

The hotel is located in a perfect location, walking distance to everything. The hotel is very clean, staff were friendly. Too expensive for the room I had. My room was approximately 8 foot x 8 foot, no window, a sink in the room. The toilet and shower are a floor above. (When I booked the room I neglected to read the accommodations thoroughly) it’s my fault, it was indicated as such in my documents.

Nice Hotel, but very noisy, especially due to young people partying in the night

Hotel is definitely the budget option in Locarno, but the restaurant is nice (amazing Ticanese pizzas), and the staff is friendly and does their best to speak four languages(!).

It is a basic hotel with wifi coverage. I booked for single room with shared bathroom, but I was given a triple beds room with shared bathroom. The room and bed are clean and having homefeel. The bathroom is large, with bath tub, and very clean. The staff was quite friend and helpful in answering my questions.

We were put in an apartment away from main hotel which was nice enough - no kettle. Close to transport and loads of restaurants. Some receptionists were more helpful than others.

The place is good for a sop on your fay, not for a stay in Locarno.
On our Swiss trip we wanted to spend one day in Locarno, and decided to stay for a night.
Be careful, don't be mislead by hotel's photos, the building is vintage (perhaps even classic), but the condition is rather old as well.
You'll find a sink in the room and a shared bathroom in a hallway.
And if you stay here in winter be sure to grab all the warm stuff you have - it's really cold inside.
To be fare I should admit the price you pay is the quality you get - so if you're a backpacker seeking for shelter it's a decent choice, if it's warm outside.

I liked my stay here. I was only there for a night but the room was comfortable and decent. Yes, it may be a bit on the older side but everything works fine and is clean. It's also very central so that was great to walk around.

First of all, the receptionist didn't speak English. I find this odd as this job entails you to speak with many tourists. This made communication unnecessarily difficult. Having lots of heavy luggage, she gave us a room on the highest floor. They have no elevators, so we had to lug all of this up 3 flights of steep stairs. The room was tiny; I'm not sure how they even got the bed in there as that is the only thing that fit. They had no AC and the bathroom is shared for the whole floor (not just between two rooms as we thought). The bathroom doesn't have a shower, and the only shower is way down the hall. We ended up not showering. It was loud outside and the walls are paper thin. This was one of our most expensive stays and the hotel really wasn't worth it. I would avoid

We were excited when we saw the hotel as it looked quite elegant in the front lobby. However we were escorted across the alley to another building that was quite plain. However, the accommodations were fairly comfortable though both our windows opened to the street over the outside eating area, so there was plenty of noise. Not a big problem, though.

It was a bit disconcerting that only one of the hotel check-in staff knew German but still understandable given Locarno is in the Italian part. The room was very nice and gave us lots of "bang for our buck." It would have been nice to have a private bathroom, but shared between three or four rooms isn't too bad. The free breakfast was very nice.

The hotel is located near shopping district and has an elevator when your room is located on higher floors. A restaurant is attached to the hotel and the food is good and more reasonable than restaurants outside of the hotel.
My room was very quiet and kept clean.

The good:
Great location; right in the town centre. Walk out the hotel door and you're there.
The area has great views and architecture, and is in a pedestrian location with quaint cobbled streets.
English telly in the room was a welcome break after a week on the road and a long day to get to the hotel.
Secure under-ground gated parking was available which was great for us travelling by bike. The parking was a chargeable extra at time of booking, but worth it for the security.
The rooms were comfortable and clean. We went for the shared bathroom option and found the showers and facilities to be clean and very effective. I didn't find myself wishing I'd opted for en-suite at extra cost.
The not-so-good:
Access to the hotel is tricky by motor vehicle (due to the location) and the nature of the one-way systems in the town meant it took us a while to find our way to the other side of the pedestrian area. Pushing a motorcycle loaded with two weeks' luggage across cobbled streets is a little taxing after a hard day's ride...
The walls between rooms aren't particularly sound-proof. Fine if you have considerate guests next door; not so fine if they're in the mood for being 'slightly noisy' for a few minutes shall we say...
The decor, whilst clean, was quite dated. Entirely a matter of taste though.
The room service wasn't quite room service. The phone to reception didn't work, and when I ordered the food in person after walking to the restaurant, I had to wait for it and carry it up myself. Not quite 'room service'. Rather than having it added to the bill, it had to be paid at point of ordering which meant going back to the room to get my credit card. That said though, the food itself was perfectly adequate and tasty, if a little pricey.
