It is a basic place, nothing fancy or comfortable, the good thing is that it is pet friendly and is cloae to a very good beach.

The property itself is great, the only reason I don’t give more stars is the construction that was going on during my stay. All to improve the Hotel and not inconvenient at all. I was given a room far away from any noise. I liked it.

Due to current construction it was very hard to relax in a calm atmosphere.
The mattresses were “TERRIBLE” one literally had a steel spring coming through the mattresses and poking me in the back. Very poor mattresses!!!!
Most staff at the pool bar were at best rude !
This was not my first stay here however it was my worst and also my last !!!!

But for the money it was good

Property was a private oasis where you felt secluded from the other resorts. Very picturesque grounds.
Staff were not overly friendly, limited food options, were accommodating after some convincing (vegetarian). Description of amenities was not accurate. Day passes were sold to outside guests which made the pool area very crowded and noisy with people and kids.

I loved how they want to share the Dominican culture with guests with rooms decorated like our traditional farmer's house style in the Dominican Campo. I loved how close to the beach it is, the amazing lady in the front that made check in and check out smooth. In general excellent experience. Room is basuc so don't expect much.

The picture you see here is not of this hotel, it's the hotel next to it. The rooms are not even close to what you will see when you get there.

The Hotel is under restoration. My room the first night was not clean nor did the cleaning crew clean the room & make the bed. I will not return to this hotel.

Very nice staff at Plaza Real. Like most older properties it is in need of upgrades.

It is an accessible place, located in the area of greatest tourist activity in Juan Dolio

Staff was very nice, and were able to accommodate my requests to switch rooms because of a better room safer for my toddler girl.
Room was comfortable and pleasing it even included a little stove, fridge, sink, kitchen cabinets, pots, pans, and plates to cook, and round dinning table with chairs, ( I was more then happy) the only thing missing was a microwave!
Other than that they had amazing customer service and all the staff was very nice!

Simply a budget hotel with cooking faculties. Rates are descent in a very beautiful part of Juan Dolió. Facility is a bit dated but ok as they have Hot water unlike expensive resorts that don’t .

Beautiful hotel and very nice staff. The area is like a botanical garden. The only thing that disturbed me was the generator next door and the fact that there were loud repairs all the time on the 1st floor of the building I live in.

I enjoyed the property. The internet connection is to be improved in some rooms.

The property management is unprofessional, unfit, noncaring and very distasteful. The amenities offered are unreal. The staff was off-putting. I will never recommend this place. Furthermore I am embarrassed for people to know that I was even here.

This place is terrible. My room had roaches and beds bugs and was super dirty. One night a spider showed on my bed .a big spider. The bathroom contains dirty, the bathroom drain was all opened. For the parking you have to go tonthe front desk to asked to open the parking door every time you have to enter or leave the hotel. What i experience is not safe at all for someone's health to sleep in a room that has roaches, spiders, beds bugs and alegator. I have pictures. I told the managers about this situation and she said that was ok to have roaches and beds 🐛 in the room . She did not even say sorry. Bad costumers service. I will not recommend this unhealthy and dangerous environment to nobady. You can get sick by roaches or beds bugs or by spider that bite you.

4.0
1- it does not look like the picture.2- Reminds you of a run down motel on an old highway in the 1960's. 3-Its clean. 4-Cheap prices.5- Across the street from the beach. 6-Very few workers speak any english. 7- the resturants around it are great. 8- internet is great at the pool and lobby, low in the rooms, but will work.
