Very nice hotel. Was under construction at the time. So hallway on our floor wasn't the best. But room was clean, very comfortable. Both woman that checked us in and out were very pleasant. Lady at restaurant was not. Was very rude when we asked a question. So we left to eat elsewhere.

We've been booking here on our way up to Canada for our annual fishing trips for the past few years. Always a pleasant stay.

Our reservations were made two weeks ahead. Upon arrival we were advised that they were overbooked and they would "upgrade us ($30.00)" into the new rooms on the 6th floor. Once there, we were being lodged in a construction zone where workers were present. At 0600 hours the next morning contractors began working i.e. pounding, sanding etc. waking us up! The toilet also was in need of repair. As you flushed, the water sprayed out from under the tank onto the floor. We were very disappointed with the room and with the overall stay.

It was a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere

Our wing of the hotel was in rough shape. They were full and we checked in a little later (5:30-6:00) we ended up with an accessible room. Very poor signage both outside and inside, we had to go exploring to even find the gaming rooms. Hopefully it gets better when their renovations are done but until then stay someplace and drive in if you want to gamble

Everything was fine except the lavatory faucets suck. They have no temperature adjustment and are not eco friendly as they automatically stay on too long.

Horrible service, filthy/smelly facilities and room. Will not be back.

Road leading to hotel was in disrepair. Three agents were working the registration desk, Michelle was our agent and she was extremely brusque and unwelcoming. The room itself was worn, lamp shades torn and furniture scuffed. The bathroom sink faucet was motion sensitive but you could not change the temperature. The ventilation fan in the bathroom had not been cleaned in recent history as evidenced by the built up dust. Sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference.

Power went out for 3 hours. Very shocked there’s was no generator as back up
Place is. Dated and worn. But there is a new part that should be up and running by next spring

Was great

The valet person was very nice but the rest of the employees not so nice. Construction and open wires on our floor. The restaurant wasn’t open and neither was the whirlpool. The place was getting a facelift which it needs but unsatisfactory with the food, bar and other amenities it offered. Things were dirty and tore up.

The property was very dirty and had no maid service do to a staff shortage. The place was under construction and we were not told of this. We had workers starting to work outside our window at 7 am. Lastly they charged us a 250 cleaning charge claiming that we smoked in the room when we did not. Do not go to this motel

The room we had was fine, except only hot water from the tap. The room window looked out over inside the front door. Half our floor was not finished. The dining room was closed and only a snack bar open for any meals the first night. Signage was not great. We went all around the building, past construction, to find the actual front. The had a nice gift shop.

Hotel is under construction but was not inconvenient.
There is a long walk from hotel to casino.
Nice restaurant or a grill is available.

Frontline workers were great. Casino was under construction. Which wasn’t too bad. When having to deal with the management and security staff it was an unorganized mess. If you’re looking to do an event here, the recommendation would be to look elsewhere.

I realize they are under construction but it seems like they are using that as an excuse to be lazy with the cleaning and upkeep of the rooms they have available. The rooms were still dirty, remote control was gross, dust all over, no cups in the room, no ice bucket liner, fridge wouldn't keep cold, etc. would have been nice if Hotels.com or the hotel would have mentioned the entire hotel is under major construction right now and for the next year or so. Half the hotel is gutted out, the exterior is being worked on, all day and early morning there are hammers and grinders and loud noises. Access to the pool you have to go through a portion of the hotel that is being gutted. The hot tub was down, the pool was in poor condition. If you are going to take on guests and charge them full price while the renovations are taking place then at least make the hotel livable and in good condition for what is there. The place is a disaster right now, avoid avoid avoid. If I knew ahead of time it was under construction like this I never would have booked here, I would have stayed somewhere else. It should have been noted on the website that it was under construction like this, shame on Hotels.com and the hotel for not having full disclosure, for not making a note somewhere or sending an email warning guests before the book, terrible

The clerk that checked us in didn't know how to check in customers from Hotels.com. She left us standing at the front desk waiting on her for about 15 minutes while someone in the back room showed her how to do it. She never smiled once. Never thanked us and didn't explain much, not even how to use the wifi. The hotel is under construction. It was not clearly communicated that our room was down the hallway from construction or that the construction work started at 7 am. Construction sounds are not wonderful, restful sounds to wake up to. The vent fan in our bathroom didn't seem to be working, you couldn't hear it and had to keep wiping off the mirror with a towel. The vent in the wall next to the mirror in the bathroom and the toilet were horribly dirty. The shampoo dispenser in the shower was almost empty. The conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower were empty. We stayed on a no smoking floor. There are signs posted to this affect. The hallway smelled like pot. I've stayed at this hotel a couple times before when visiting the Sault. I enjoyed my stays in the past. I didn't enjoy it this time. The service at the hotel has gone down hill.

being a casino hotel the front desk was always busy and the staff weren't very friendly. While the hotel was nonsmoking the lobby being connected to the casino smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was a little shabby with old cracked lampshades, but it was near where I actually planned to spend my time on vacation and I did little more than sleep here.

I’m looking forward to the new updated rooms. Staff was great and breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. We needed a handicapped room which was nice but the handle on the shower was so tight I couldn’t take a shower. My husband was asleep. He had to pound on it in the morning to get the water to turn on. I forgot to mention it to the front desk. Also the construction going on was irritating but I understand that. I had a workman outside our 4th floor room at 7:00 AM. It was our first stay, and we do plan to come back when the work is complete.

I don’t even know where to begin how bad my stay was. The staff here is like the walking dead absolutely terrible attitudes and no accommodation at all. This place should be on a tv show like Bar Rescue. I stayed here for 5 nights as I was in town for a professional golf tournament.
A local man in the hotel lobby mentioned to me “make sure to stay in the newer part of the hotel next time you stay here a word of advice, don’t stay in East Wing” as I was waking to my room.
As soon as I got to my room, I understood why the man mentioned that. It was utter disappointment. The room was something out of a 70’s magazine. The beds are stiff as concrete, no phone charging outlets, no hot / cold water faucet in the bathroom, the shower took 10 minutes to get lukewarm. The appliances in the room make loud ringing noises that were distracting when trying to sleep and not to mention the horrid smoke smell throughout the entire building was absolutely disgusting.
I immediately went to the front desk and no help was provided to switch me out of my room. I got attitude from the front desk workers and they said things like “call back later” and “try again tomorrow.”
My first night I decided to gamble, I went to check out roulette and won $320 dollars. I was required a hand pay by two guys that tried to scam me and tried to force me to write down my social security # on blank paper. It was incredibly off putting and super sketchy. It’s like they were all in on the scam. Be careful

This property is under renovation. I didn’t see that when I booked this reservation. The front desk clerk was friendly and the newly renovated room I had was very nice with the exception that the bed bases are too far out (hit my legs on them). We had to walk through the construction zone (ceiling wires were exposed and no carpeting). The restaurant, bar and hot tub were closed-difficult to get to the pool.

Hotel is under renovation. Hot tub out of order. 2 big weddings in the hotel. Severely understaffed. No daily housekeeping.

Our room was extremely dusty and wasn’t cleaned had a dried sausage on the floor as well. A knob on our dresser was broken off so we just didn’t use them. The automatic sink is absolutely annoying for a hotel room. It turns on when you don’t want it to and you cannot change the temperature of it so you are brushing your teeth with hot water, it also stays on for a while after you’re done. We let the staff know our room was very dusty and dirty and they wrote our room # down and nothing changed. We did get a refund for our last night and left early because of it. They could have came and cleaned the room after we left for the day but we came back to nothing changed. We also arrived and their pool and hot tub were closed. If we had known it would have been closed we wouldn’t have stayed at all and canceled the reservation.
We got refunded for our last night because we wanted to leave early only because the hotel was dirty and causing my nose to get stuffed up. We later found out they could have cleaned the room and we could have stayed the last night with it being comped. instead they didn’t let us know until we had packed up and changed our plans. We honestly would have asked for a full refund at that point. We drove 5 hours from home to come here just be disappointed after disappointed. Resulted in cutting our trip short was a disappointing drive home. The manager couldn’t speak with us until we had already checked out and headed home.

My only issue was in the room, bathrooms faucets. The faucets have the sensors that control the water. They only run for about 15 seconds then turn off, and you have to play the game of trying to get them back on. You can’t get cold water, and when it gets hot, it’s VERY HOT to the point of hurting. They don’t stay on long enough to rinse your hands when washing them. I understand the need to not waste water, but these kinds of faucets in a bathroom are a nuisance and a pain

There was hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor. And the hot tub was broken, which is fine, but the water in the hot tub was disgusting. And when the pool water was being splashed around as kids do, some of the hot tub water would mix in with the pool.

Terrible faucets in sink, ONLY HOT WATER, and sometimes don't work. Maintenance also hates them!

Crabby person at check in, rock hard bed,no shower soap or shampoo. Great sheets! But, scratchy towels with a warning if you take them, you will pay. Security was helpful, and gentleman at gift shop was funny 😁
