Had a nightmare by choosing this hotel. When I went for check in they said they gonna put us somewhere else which has lower rating. Cranbrook hotel could tell us before hand that we not gonna get room while I booked more than week before. First thing i asked when took us to the room is air freshener. Bed frame was broken. Disgusting experience

Very basic, wardrobe was about to fall apart and the pillows were very flat. Clean hotel and nice staff

If there was a terrible score than terrible I should have used it. It is not a Hotel in my view as it looks far too worse than some of B&B or Hostels I know. It is dirty, The building you see as a “Hotel” is not the building you may sleep in. On my visit I was taken somewhere away from the main building you see on the website. I was put in a different building upstairs with no lift. No one bothered to find out whether one of us was unable to use stairs , the room carpet was stained and smelly, the bed and mattress were filthy like the one picked from street (even homeless would ask questions if was asked to use that bed), the room was too small, fan was dusty (unclean), cups and milk, tea left behind looked dusty as if no one checked or replaced them for many weeks, tiny toile and tiny shower very small for use and water was not moving in shower, BASICALLY WHAT I CAN ADVISE YOU IS AVOID THIS SO CALLED “HOTEL”

Well, personally I believe as a hotel the key point is that hotel is able to provide an environment where customer can have a good sleep. However, the traffic noise is just unbearable. You cannot decide your own sleeping and waking up time the traffic does.

They had some water leakage in our assigned room hence moved to another Britannia Inn hote which was very unconvinced as was on 2nd floor and had to carry heavy suite cases
I will never stay in either of these hotels

I would say cheap and cheerful but it wasn't cheap and they £100 charge off u for damages which I'm still waiting to get back 4 weeks later

The room marked as B3, was across the road in a residential-looking, unmarked building, outside of the hotel, and not as advertised during the booking. Very basic, with dirty carpets, very small towels, and a tiny shower with only small handwash soap. The worst of all was the mattress with springs I could feel at the surface. Not very good sleep at all.
There are no any facilities like bar or restaurant. Just nothing but a tiny dirty room outside of the so-called hotel.
Another very annoying issue was that during the booking, I wasn't aware of the £100 pre-authorised deposit, but at check-in, a young man in the reception explained it would be released straight after check-out and I accepted it at that point.
However, at check out, a very rude woman at the reception desk said my £100 would be released in 2 weeks time.
I wasn't happy with that at all and and asked for deposit to be unlocked immediately as promised at check-in, but she wouldn't even talk about it, neither about issues related to mattress, saying there is no compensation for it. I asked for her name and position there and she very reluctantly eventually said her name was Seila and she is hotel manager.
It was a very bad experience and too bad value for the money.
I will officially make a complaint via Expedia and expect a serious compensation for the rubbish services I have paid for.

Room was basic but ok.
Tv wouldn’t work and I could wee quicker than the water coming out the shower.
The staff were pleasant and friendly.

When I arrived, their small car park at the front was full up. The male receptionist then walked in front of my car (on the pavement) and showed me their car park behind the hotel. He then took my suitcase out of my car and took it up to my room. The next day, I went to the breakfast room and found no plates or cutlery there. So, I asked for a plate and knife and made myself two pieces of toast from the two loaves of bread I'd found in their bread bin. The following morning, I found it locked. I asked the male receptionist and he told me, I hadn't asked for breakfast when I booked it. So, I went back to my room and talked to an agent on the website who confirmed what he'd said. The receptionist then showed me the proof and told me, they'd stopped serving breakfast months ago. The next morning, I contacted the website and told the agent this. Each day, I left my key with the receptionist and picked it up on my return.

The room appeared clean at first glance, but it emitted a foul odor. Moreover, upon arrival, we were unexpectedly asked to pay additional fees, which were supposedly refundable upon check-out. Despite not staying the night, I have yet to receive the reimbursement. I reached out to them the week following our visit, and they requested my bank details for the refund. However, nearly two weeks have passed, and I am still grappling with this unexpected hidden deposit. Do not recommended

First of all the Hotel took a £100.00 deposit before they let us check into the hotel. After two weeks, they have still not returned the deposit. Stay away from this hotel. They're not honest people. If they ask for deposit. Walk out the door.

They charge 100 Pound deposit on arrival. It’s first time in my life. I stayed only one hour there and checked out.

The old lady at the reception is not helpful. Not friendly. No customer approach.
I was first place in a room toward the back. The room smelled so bad. The bed is rough, seem someone’s just check out of the room. Room was changed and I was given a room next to families permanently living there. The children’s we making noise. Running up and down. The noise was so much. I have to leave the hotel.

I recently stayed at Britannia hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I encountered a receptionist who was very rude and seemed to have limited knowledge about their job. To make matters worse, I was forced to wait for an extended period in my car on a winter night while the receptionist tried to get their card machine working in order to take a deposit. This experience caused me an enormous amount of stress, discomfort, and frustration.
As if that wasn't enough, the room that was assigned to me was located under the stairs next to a cleaning cabinet. This resulted in constant noise from people going up and down the stairs and cleaners going in and out of the cabinet, particularly early in the morning. The overall quality of service and the room's location made for a very unpleasant stay, and I would not recommend this place to anyone based on my experience.
In conclusion, I hope that the management of the hotel takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary improvements to ensure that future guests do not have to endure similar issues. A pleasant and comfortable stay is an essential part of any hotel experience, and it is clear that improvements are needed in this regard.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would have happily got a refund and found a decent hotel. The hotel was very stinky and not very clean.

Lovely stay would definitely visit again. Clean and friendly

The room had a musty scent to it. Condition was clean and tidy.
The toom was left as found.
A £50 deposit was taken from me for the security of the room key. I have to wait 5 days for the money to return back into my account. This was not expressed at time of booking. I would have booked elsewhere.

As soon as you get in, it smells like a buffet.

I had a very good stay here. It had everything I needed. The parking is tricky as it’s very limited. On my second night I had to pay for 90 minutes on street because there was No spaces left on site. Other than that everything else was good.

Everything was fine. Except the attitude of one of the staffs, a lady from Eastern Europe, was on morning duty on 17/07/20202. She shouted at me continuously, very rude. I will put official complain to the hotel management.

Not the greatest hotel experience. Room was very old, and worst was noisy guests wandering outside. Door didn’t feel secure. Didn’t even bother with breakfast!

I don’t like anything you are charging double on arrival £50 security and dint refund until now . Staff is horrible rude and no soap or shampoo provided very bad experience I will never recommend

This is a busy hotel mainly for tradespeople who are working in London. You will be expected to pay a £100 deposit on check-in which is only returned to your bank account 3 or 4 days after you have left the hotel.

I only liked the food and Service of the kitchen department, room service also not that bad but condition of the property is poor .night lamp electric circuit is fully opened no cover at all, even kids can reach it easily. Throughout my stay I covered the circuit with plastic bags to prevent my kids from touching it.Steps are weak , mouldy and cigarette smells everywhere.never book it again. Not worth it for the money!

Booked this hotel based on breakfast starting at 6:30. Completely missed the fact that it was only a 2 star hotel. To be honest, I was still disappointed. I'm surprised it has any guests go back at all. Didn't even get a tea spoon with the pack in the room. One tea bag looked damp, yes the tea bags were from a box, not single sealed bags......

No kitchen or canteen area. Inside room it smells bad. No proper bin available. Smallest tv ever from 1980s. Sofa got grim onit. Never coming back to stay here
