This is a solid, but often overpriced, four star hotel, that welcomes you with a lobby with its name and five stars. Perhaps the OTA and the hotel should come to an agreement on whether this is a 5 star stay.
While the check in process was smooth, and the room had a nice view of the surrounding hills, my experience was soured by the service I received.
I was instructed not to bring any guests to my room. While this may have been safety oriented, it felt intrusive. There appeared to be no working cable channels, we had to call down for a hair dryer, and the towels were a bit small for a room with two beds and at least two adults.
I reserved a room with two beds, and went to breakfast the next morning with the person traveling with me. I was greeted and allowed to have breakfast. On check out, I was instructed to pay the cost of the breakfast for the second person staying in the room. This amount was nearly 33% of the total stay for the room. As a Spanish speaker, I tried to reason with the staff, that two people with two beds would be allowed two breakfasts, but they were very determined to pinch their Pennies and insisted that the OTA booking was for 2 beds, but only 1 person. Strange!
I paid the bill in order to not make a scene. The hotel security staff hassled my Uber driver and made him pay a fine for waiting while I came downstairs and was ambushed with a bill at check out. I am a modest hotel guest, but this experience was well short of supposed 5 star service.

I have had one of the strangest experiences ever after my arrival to the hotel reception informed they are overbooked and they need to move me to some other hotel which absolutely 10 times lower grade as a chain and hotel style I usually choose my hotel due to the practical location and to meet up with my customers at the same but without perior notification or any message this happens it’s one of the weirdest and unpleasant experiences happened because first I couldn’t sleep they ruined my business day which is the only I have because I have to go to another city tonight and from my reservation history you should notice that

It was a taxi ride from everywhere but as a European the taxis we're cheap! It was a perfect balance of comfort, quietness and luxury when we were spending all day in the busy (amazing) city. The staff were kind and helpful. We would love to stay again.

They didn’t have my room that I made a reservation for they offered me a lesser room. Then offered me a suite but I had to pay extra. I stayed at this hotel many times during the last 10 years I spoke to the front seat manager the next day and he said he would take care of me next trip

I love everything. The breakfast had a lot of options . The pool, great room, theny have music in the hotel, you can walk to the poblado, close to provenza, close to take the tour in the church in poblado like 10 minutes. A lot bars and restaurants 10 min walking or you only pay like 2 or 3 dolars in uber.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! Being in Medellin, I know hotels are sensitive about visitors. So before my friend came over I asked if it was OK if we went to my room and had a glass of wine before we went out to dinner. Bellman told me it would be OK and he would let the person at the desk know as well. I was charged $100 without them asking me, or giving me an option to not do that. HIGHWAY ROBBERY

Good hotel but over priced. The rooms are standard, pool area is okay but basic in comparison to other hotels. Wouldn't stay there again

Rooms are not soundproof you here the lifts, extra guest fee is way to much $99 USA dollars others don’t have this and most only 80.000 pesos and only comes in after 10pm
So if you have a friend coming over to your room this hotel charges per person $99 dollars, staff were only good point of the hotel

Upgrade to a master suite paid 600,000 for upgrade then 3 days later they told me it was 1800000.00 more which was over 800.00 dollars with conversation. Then i get to the room and TV not working and remote control for the curtains needed new batteries. Then the toilet was running becaise needed a new flushing system but it doesnt there the wood from the sliding doors eaten up by termite and sink in bathroom dripping. Finally clock radio in the room alarm kept going off every two hours then i had to unplug it. They send maintenance to fix the issue and still the same problem. View from balcony beautiful but conditions of the walls really bad condition. Spoke to hotel management and all he had to say he was sorry. Sorry they say they are 5 star but the condition of the room they weren't even get a 3 star rating. If you get a master suite make sure its not 1806. I will forward these review to expedia and i have fotos of all these things.

The hotel is well located, the breakfast buffet excellent, the room very spacious and quiet. But… I received a call the morning after checking-in telling me I was required to change rooms immediately because a football team was checking-in and they needed my room. At the time I was in an all-day tour and tried to explain that I couldn’t change rooms until I returned in the evening. The person who called kept insisting and even suggested they would move my things themselves. I refused, he kept insisting. Finally I had to hang up on him. When I got back to the hotel, I went to the front desk and was told that I could keep my room, but that they needed to take out one of the two king beds in the room. I agreed, they took the extra king bed, but never rearranged the room to the way it was supposed to be (one king bed, centered in the bed rest with two side night stands and two reading lamps (for the next three nights of our stay, the bed we kept was pushed to the side, no headboard, only one nightstand and one heading lamp). No one apologized for the inconvenience.
