Staff where lovely and so helpful
Really easy to get to the city centre by foot

This is a family owned business. Jerry and Olga were very helpful. Whenever I had a question they were always eager to provide directions or advice. For example, Jerry ordered a cab the night before I needed it to the train station before my next destination. He knew that it was going to be very difficult to get a cab and a specific time so he ordered it the night before.

A lovely little hotel, perfect for if you are visiting Croke Park or Dublin City, would stay again and highly recommend.

Location is perfect, staff is incredible and extremely friendly, price was very fair for what you get and the location. Only complaint I have was the bed was quite uncomfortable and not having an elevator is a bit inconvenient when you end up staying on the higher floors (only like 5 flights of stairs, so this is just kinda me being lazy). Still a lovely place that I would definitely stay at again.

Friendly staff and nice location

This hotel is an absolute gem. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, and a beautifully decorated room. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a good, safe stay. As it is an old building there is no lift, but I had no trouble getting several bags up to the top floor. It is an easy walking distance from the city centre, trinity college, and temple bar. I would highly recommend this hotel.
3.0
Room was very small and no air flow. It gets humid and hot as soon as you take a shower. To help with thei air flow, you have to keep the rooms door open.
The staff are very nice and friendly and the place is clean.
The neighborhood is not the best. It's dirty and so much noise although away from city center.

Brilliant hotel with a great team! Very helpful with everything. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room was nice but small. Staff very good & helpful. Area looked a little depressed. A walk to center of town but things to see while u walked.

This lovely family-run hotel exceeded all our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is great and not far from the city center, restaurants, buses and supermarkets. The owners are very friendly, helpful, welcoming and adorable. They even printed our boarding passes!! We will come back for sure!

in Dergvale hotel we spent 3 nights, we have nothing to complain about, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff was very nice and helpful, in addition from the hotel it was very close to the center. I recommend this hotel!

Beautiful room, spotlessly clean, staff at front-desk were fabulous and very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again ....

It's a little outside the city center (15 minute walk), but easy to get to it. The people at the desk are friendly and helpful. The walls are a little thin, so if people are in the hall you can hear everything. The shower is a little small and the shower head isn't adjustable, so I had to be in the corner for it to work for me. The water pressure was good and it was nice and hot.
The price was reasonable.

Our stay at this hotel was nice and greeted by lovely owners Jerry & Nancy.. very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and own bathroom clean beds changed daily.

Pleasant stay, our room was compact but extremely clean, unfortunately due to covid restrictions breakfast was unavailable ( highly recommend the lovin spoon cafe). Hotel is in easy walking distance to the city centre

Hotel was great. Not many amenities if that’s what you are looking for. We felt very safe and the rooms are very clean. I highly recommend. Also walking distance to a lot of great restaurants, pubs, and shops.

Would stay again

Very basic, small room in refurbished Georgian property a ahort walk from city centre. Room was cold, the heating could not be controlled by guests, there were no facilities whatsoever in the room except for a tv that only showed local tv channels. WiFi worked ok. Overall, very expensive room rate for what was provided.

Unique Irish small hotel with a lot of charm and attention to detail in the rooms. Mine was tiny but cosy and comfortable, no noise from the other rooms, and it was fully booked. Nice European breakfast room with lots of choices, and a full hot breakfast. Location seemed a little out of the way, but wasn’t--5 minute walk to Parnell/O'Connell, 10 more to the river. Great option!

Super friendly staff and great service. Rooms were clean and comfy.

Comfortable, clean.
Close to down town.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Straightforward clean property. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious. Only downside was no elevator as it is in a Georgian era home.

This hotel had a very olden Ireland feel making it more unique than a hotel. The rooms were just updated enough to get a good sleep but also keep some originality. The only thing I would complain about is that the walls are VERY thin. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.

Owners go out of your way to make you feel welcome. Good breakfast.

The Dergvale Hotel was an excellent spot to rest in during my stay in Dublin. Beds were comfortable and my room had good enough space for the one person stay, but there are larger rooms of course for larger groups. Breakfast there was really nice, and the staff were so friendly. I hope to book another stay at the Dergvale next time I'm in Dublin :)

It was close to all the stores and bus pickups in the city center. The people running it were great and very helpful in advising us on places to go and how to get there. The breakfast was one of the best parts of the hotel and the hotel is old but very clean and was the best one we stayed on our trip. I can't say enough about how we liked it, and would stay there again next time we are in Dublin.
1.3
Room was almost perfect (with possible exception of a slightly dirty towel), excellent staff who suggested both sights to see for a quick layover tour and to a good Irish pub complete with live music and dancing, and a tasty breakfast (they even accommodated my early departure). Short walk from the airport bus and convenient to shops and the Luas at Parnell and not too far from OConnell and the GPO. At least one street linking Gardiner to Parnell should be well-lit enough at night.

The older gent who checked us in had an attitude and made us feel like we were imposing. We asked where to park and he wouldn’t give us a straight answer. Other than that, the property was clean, the room was nice. Hairdryer and towels provided. Beds were beyond comfortable. The younger guy at the front desk later in the day was nice.

I always stay at Dergvale Hotel when I'm in Dublin. The location is convenient, the staff is fabulous, and the price is reasonable. It's the best small hotel for this kind of price in Dublin. What I really like about the hotel in addition to all of the above is the fact that someone at the reception is always watching who is coming into the hotel. After dark, they have to "buzz you in." This makes me feel safe and I know that my belongings won't disappear from the room. I'm sure I will stay at the Dergvale again next time I visit Dublin.

Great location. Just 1 1/2 blocks from Connell Street. Friendly family staff. Small rooms and bathroom but very bright and clean. We loved it

Good location, great breakfast included. Very accommodating, single room is tiny but clean.
1.5
Staff welcoming and friendly. Hotel within walking distance of town centre. Other attractions could be walked to for the hardy walker. Rooms clean and warm. Quiet location. Lacking in tea and coffee facilities. Walls very thin so could hear conversations in other rooms.

The hotel was really nice including the room! Better than I expected. However there were a few little touches missing i.e a tea/coffee tray so we could have a drink when we liked. There was also a hair dryer but it had a European end (the plugs aren't European) so we couldn't use it. The staff were really helpful when we asked questions.
2.5
The staff were so very helpful in so many way. Clean rooms good breakfast and location was perfect for getting around Dublin. But most of all I have to say the staff were great. It is a older hotel but well maintained
1.3
Good location for all of the local attractions. Room did not have tea/coffee making facilities but complementary coffees where available.
