The service was excellent but the room had a couple of cockroaches in the restroom and countertop next to the stove and you needed to make your bed and take out the trash.

The grounds around the hotel were full of garbage…the room itself was actually okay.
2.5 / 5.0
For a kitchen set up would like to see a few more dishes and pots and pans and spatulas and silverwear to accommodate 4 people. Also a kitchen sponge and dish wash liquid would b helpful.

Front desk staff were nice. Room was adequate and bed was comfortable. Mold in the bathroom. Fitness center filled with broken equipment - avoid! Warning about breakfast-- they ration out the food each day, so they were out of some food by 8am, week before the stated end time (9am). I chose this place over other nearby places based on ok reviews. I would NOT recommend staying here.

Perfect for a one night stop

The positives - super friendly staff and very comfortable bed with soft sheets. Close to many restaurants and gas stations
The negative - lack luster breakfast…do yourself a favor & eat next door at Cracker Barrel. The room was filthy. The kind of dirty that you do not walk around barefoot because the bottom of the shower is immediately black when your feet hit the water….yuck! The tiny shampoo bottle was only 3/4 full and was open when we arrived.
If you’re looking for a convenient place to stay with friendly service and comfy bed but not much else, then this is your place.

Front desk staff was very welcoming… but the facility itself was only somewhat clean. Our room floor had grape vine trash on the floor & dirty was obviously in the corners & sever dust on the bed frame.

Always a good stay. Right next to Hooters and a Cracker Barrel

Room was handicap accessible , clean and comfortable.
Shower stall was accessible but no way of containing water from spilling out onto floor.
The shower fixture was too loose to adjust and had to be handheld

I couldn’t stay. The room had several visible roaches crawling about as soon as I entered. I could only imagine how many more there were that I didn’t stick around to view.

We had a great time. Loved the full size kitchen! My only conplaint is that the room hadnt been cleaned in a long time. Dust was thick everywhere, kitchen and bathroom needed cleaned as well. It was a good experience though. The breakfast was decent as well.

The gym equipment wasn’t in the best condition with limited machine options, but our room was cleanly and nice. Staff were very friendly as well. More breakfast item options would have been nice, but it was sufficient.

Location is excellent for travelers; easy access to interstate, gas stations and restaurants. Arrived at approximately 3:30, check-in was quick and easy, front desk clerk was friendly and professional. Elevator location was not clearly marked and smelled horrible, but I was impressed that they had InstaPot, air drier and slow cooker available for first use in their rooms. Room was on second floor and was very clean, bed was very comfortable. We would have appreciated a flip lock (security lock) on the 2nd floor balcony door. Breakfast was good and hot, would have appreciated some additional fruit options, but made do with the small fruit cups. Overall, extremely pleased with our stay, will stay again and will recommend to others.

The room sheets has stains, the coffee from the previous person was still in the pot and the bathtub had hair in it still. The place also smells like cigarettes as soon as you walked in.

We stayed here simply because of storms and my brotger wears a life vest do to needing a heart transplant, i spent way too much money for this horrible hotel. The housekeeper refused to come off the elevator so we could get my terminally ill brother down 5 stories to the car. As i was talkibg to the front desk she jumped around the corner cussing me and acting like a horrible person. She should be fired!! They should shut this hotel down its not worth the money the staff was awful!! NEVER have i stayed at any mainstays this awful!!!

I liked the fact that the room was spacious and had the kitchen with the dishwasher. I would've expected them to clean the room more thoroughly, it felt like it was done in haste. Also, the mattress wasn't firm but that is just my personal preference.

The room was great - the only thing I didn’t like were those bright cold/white light bulbs.

The Main Stay Suites were a pleasant one one night stay for our family of six. Clean and efficient

The time of day obviously has a lot to do with the kind of service you receive here. We completely understand that check in is at 3 but most places are nice about it. You let them know you have arrived and they either have a room or they don't. There are a lot of places that will get your name and offer to text you when a room is available. Not this place and that's fine but the man at the front counter didn't even look up while he barked "Check in at 3."
This is a no smoking facility but they have balconies on some rooms and you can smell the cigarette somke in the hall. The employees also smoke right next to the door. It's not a huge deal but it stinks.
The continental breakfast was not really breakfast. Make your own waffle and weird eggs and sausage. We honestly tried the muffins and they were not edible.
As we were leaving our room to check out, the neighborhood friendly roach was crawling around the wall in hall.

The entire hotel needs a complete overhaul! The elevator floor and entry way to the elevator is nasty. One of the first thing a customer sees. Lacks a lot on the breakfast. Ants were in the bathroom ( room 509 ) reported to the front desk when we checked out. When checking in I was given a room then told I needed to sigh a paper stating that if I smoked in the room there would be a charge. I told her no I booked a smoking room she said that's not what they had. I had to pull up my booking on Expedia to show her. Plus I had a service dog and was asked what was the dog because of a disability, don't think they were supposed to ask that once I said she was a service dog. I did it explain that she was for my diabetes. Made me feel like I was being questioned so she could get the "truth" .. like I was a suspect of a crime.

Breakfast was a little sparse, but otherwise great stay

The hotel front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was quiet and spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom could use a little TLC- there was a little rust showing in the shower area, and the tub floor was a bit slippery. - it would be better to have some grip pads added so people don't slip. The little kitchen was very nice- although I didn't really need it on this trip. The breakfast was adequate but not super impressive. There were pans of eggs, sausage patties, and biscuits. There was a pot of oatmeal with a few toppings. There was a waffle maker, plus trays of breads, bagels, and muffins. There was a little fridge with yogurt, cream cheese, butter, and hard-boiled eggs. There was coffee and some juice. It was perfectly adequate for me, but I often appreciate having some cereal choices, too, and there wasn't any cereal.
The parking lot was a good size- it was easy to get a spot, and all the spots were close to the main front doors. The location was great- only about 10 minutes from the University of Tennessee's campus. I would stay here again.
