The Front Desk person, I did'nt get his name... he was so friendly, so helpful and accommodating.
The 5pm check in is a bit off putting as there is no one at the property prior to 5pm, and you have to stand outside till someone comes at 5pm to open the door.

We were misled about the property look by the photo of castle view. Turn out the photo was for the town center, not the hotel itself
4.1
Basic hotel for a pit stop. Had all we needed, nothing fancy but ok for the money. Very close to the Christmas market and park

Good value for the money. Location is great.

Price/ quality is good. Good location to visit centre.Room is rather small

Check-in was easy and the staff was helpful in acclimating us to the hotel and the area. The hotel itself was simple, unpretentious and clean.

Smallest double bed ever. Hotel needs a makeover. Breakfast pathetic and expensive.
4.1
Basic but ok for our overnight stop - great for walking into town for a nice meal and and an explore - great for our overnight stop.
Basic breakfast but nice croissants 😎

The hotel is well located, comfortable, friendly staff who gave us recommendations for diner with q discount coupon as well as additional places to visit during our trip in Provence. We recommend it!

We had a great stay even though only for a night. Excellent location walking distance to the old town of Dijon. Very quiet clean rooms with aircon.

Close to center of town and veryvfriendly manager.

Basic hotel, good location, good for a stop over for one night no frills budget hotel.

This such an ideal hotel for a short stay. Close to the centre and very reasonably priced. Rooms are fine without being impressive, are very clean and the owner is so obliging. It’s quiet and plenty of street parking at low rates
4.1
Very basic hotel but perfect location to the center. Very friendly and accomodating staff.
4.1
Great location only ten minutes walk from the train station, low key hotel nothing fancy but great beds, quiet sleep.
4.1
A nice hotel in a very quiet neighborhood, and a 5-minute walk from the city center. My room was comfortable, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was very good for the price.
Overall, this is a very good deal.

Hotel manager is very helpful and the hotel is easy to find. There is parking on the road infront. The rooms are basic but clean and relatively comfortable. Breakfast is good.
4.1
It is a very convenient place to stay with friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to ol city and train station. Returned for an additional night. Price is right. Market nearby. Wifi not adequate and under-powered. We were kicked off the internet frequently in our rooms. Had to go to the lobby for acceptable use.
4.1
The staff was so friendly and gave us lots of tips on places to go visit and where to eat. The hotel was perfectly located between the old town and the train station, making extremely easy to navigate.
4.1
Simple hotel, spotless room, bathroom and bedsheets.
5 min walk from a charming town centre. We would definitely book again for an overnight stay.

The room was small but sufficient, it was definitely clean and quiet. Location of the hotel was really good, it was a short walk to city center and the train station. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful, he recommended a few things for us to do while in Dijon, as well as a few local restaurants and they were delicious!

The staff was great, very pleased with room size, quite big bathroom, very friendly staff

Arrived after a long journey at 14:00, only arrived at 17:00 in the room. They still had to be cleaned. Had to re-enter the city by car.
Paid parking in a street at the hotel, so no supervision. We did not have breakfast there because you are in the middle of the front desk and front door in a dark hole.

I highly recommend this hotel! The room was clean and it was safe to walk. It was very close to the central part of Dijon. The staff was really nice and they were willing to help us with anything we needed!
Thank you for everything!

Comfortable and clean.

we did not stay there more than a few hours until we found another place. AC was poor. hotel would not give refund of more than 1 of the 3 prepaid days.

Facilities fine - clean, comfortable, quiet. Nothing special, but nothing wrong. Easy walk from station, short distance from centre of town. Staff provided a good map and instructions (in French). At weekends, hotel is closed 2-5pm, so no check-in during that time.

This is a small hotel. The rooms have been renovated so everything is modernised but they are very small. The bathroom was very small as well. We had to squeeze around the washbasin to get to the toilet. We did not have breakfast.

Used for a stop over en route further south. Exterior is shabby but rooms not - fresh, clean, modern. Basic but comfortable. 5 mins walk to old town centre. Ample parking in street but need to pay during day.
4.1
The outside of the hotel is nothing to get excited about, but inside the hotel was renovated in the last few years and it's quite comfortable and modern. The bathroom was generously sized and the hotel rooms were quiet despite it being 3-5 mins from downtown. Despite there being no parking available there is free street parking overnight, generally after 7pm.

this hotel well placed in Dijon.Reception was o.k.but not all ways manned. Staff were very surly in breakfast room.Breakfast room was a disgrace with water marks all down the walls. Breakfast itself was o.k. The rooms were o.k but needed carpet on the very cold floor. lino. Bathroom floor very cold. Water temp was lacking for the sink and shower very cool. Bedroom needed net curtains as we faced the road.

We were quite disappointed by the outside of the hotel when we first arrived. Parking is on the sides of the street, with a parking meter. Sundays are free! Once inside, the lady on reception was very helpful and understood and spoke English very well. Our room was downstairs on our first visit. Small, but extremely clean. The dining room is a bit tired, and squashed, but breakfast was enjoyable. We only stayed 1 night, but went back 3 days later as part of a road trip and stayed another night. This time the room was on the 2nd floor, but bigger. Still extremely clean!

This was just an overnight stop, so we wanted somewhere we could find easily, where we could park the car, and from which we could spend the evening walking around the city centre. This suited perfectly.

Stayed here for two nights on short visit to Dijon. Great location for centre sights, bars, shops and transport links. Staff very helpful, room spotless and a reasonable breakfast available.

Small adequate hotel. Clean rooms. Hotel is under new ownership with very personable staff. Under complete renovation currently. Parking might be a problem. Had best rates in town for quad room.

I am not that picky so for the money this hotel is great. The owner was very helpful at first and unobtrusive thereafter. The 1st floor was under construction and even this wasn't a big deal since we were out usually when they were working. It is convenient to train station and anything interesting to see. We walked to two great restaurants.

Montchapet is two hotels in one. The new renovated section which looks quite nice and the part I stayed in. It looked and smelled like it hadn't seen any maintenance for decades. Fare enough considering it's probably going to get gutted and refurnished soon. But there is no way I would ever recommend to anyone to stay in this section. The walls seem to amplify noise, carpet smelled and looked like it'd been used to line a kennel, bed sheets had holes in them, the chair had multiple stains on it and I don't believe anyone cleaned the room during the 4 nights I stayed there. The owners seemed like very nice people and I believe the hotel will be well worth visiting when ALL of it is renovated. If you do stay make SURE you request the "new" section. If not, consider cancelling your stay.
