Beautiful hotel - very hard to find. GPS struggled, few signs and no hints or helps on website.

Coffee maker in the room would be nice.

Everything was great except a leaking air conditioning unit that leaked a ton of water on the floor making for dangerous slippery floor conditions. Staff were helpful to supply towels, etc but no other discount or offer was made. The dripping impacted sleep quality in particular on the second night. The staff were kind and highly apologetic. Would stay again as the hotel was lovely and so is the area.

Amazing property in the center of Pontevedra.

The beds were terrible and the staff was not friendly at all.

Another excellent stay at a parador property. The only critique is that you can hear the doors aren't soundproof and on a Saturday night we could hear the revelers outside the window. Otherwise a great place.

Great staff, and convenient location.

Staying at a remodeled 16th century palace by the heart of a medieval town. What beats that? OLd world charm, the setting, gardens, furniture and art. Super attentive service from the moment you arrive. Immaculate clean rooms and comfortable bedding and towels. The restaurant is top notch. The property doesn't have parking but you can reach it with your car, they give you all the time you need to unload your luggage and there is a convenient parking five minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

The dinner ist great.

We came to visit the Apparition Chapel, and was so happy when I found out that not only is the chapel just a stone-throw away, but that the hallway to our room overlooks the garden where the Chapel is!

The whole property needs renovation. Furniture is worn down. The outdoors need cleaning and maintenance.

What a disappointment! One expects more from a Parador. I reserved a double bed, but received two twins that couldn't be completely pushed togsther No hot water in the shower, no complimentary water bottles in the room, a self-service pod espresso coffee machine for the 19 euro breakfast, along with expired yogurts and sugar/salt from packets rather than appropriate serving dishes. The omelette was semi-warm and had no fillings. Everything was significantly below the quality one expects - and that we paid dearly for.

Stay in a castle in Pontevedra! The little town is magical and the people working the front desk and friendly and helpful!

The property is impressive, beautiful.
The services, deplorable.
The front desk person was unfriendly and not willing to help us. There is no parking in the hotel and no valet to help with the car or the luggage. We do not walk well (seniors) and the man would accept that we could not park the car half a mile away. However, I tried but just could not walk back and brought the car back. There were a couple of handicap spaces in the courtyard of the hotel but he refused to open the door. We had no choice but to leave the car outside of the gate in a no parking zone, hoping that the area was remote enough for the police to not come by.
I also ask for rooms close to the elevator and ended up with the very last room at the end of a long corridor.
No restaurant in the hotel. Just a small bar with a couple of sandwiches and fried eggs on a menu of just a few inappropriate items.
I strongly recommend people do not book in that hotel.

Property is ok , old but ok.
Location is good , walking distance to downtown.
Pontevedra is an old town with a lot of graffity that make it looks older and some places dirty.

beautiful hotel. Great location. Noisy outside on a Saturday night which made sleeping difficult.

Excellent location and amenities
Staff was very accommodating.
We had to leave quite early and they made sure we didn’t leave without having at least a hot cup of coffee

Great location. Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast and dinning options not flexible, reservations required. If I happen to get the same room next and they haven't solved the air quality will definitely ask for a room change and/or refund.

Location was excellent and it had free parking. However, there was room for 10 cars only so you had to be lucky to arrive and find a free spot. This Parador had its days! The floor in the room was super noisy, the A/C stayed at the same temp 78 degrees and we could not lower it (heat wave of 102 in Spain). We asked for a bucket of ice at the bar and they responded that the “only bucket they had was already taken by another room” so they gave us some ice in 3 glasses. No coffee machine in the room. Breakfast cost is ridiculous so we had to have breakfast elsewhere. We left a day earlier and lost our money. Very disappointing.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Parador. The hote is conveniently located close to local stores, fish market, tapas restaurants, churches, and is within 15 minutes drive from the train station. The service here was great! Nights were quiet too. We did not try their kitchen services so I cannot coment on it.The staff was eager to help us with anything we needed. We are very glad we chose Parador of Pontevedra to start our vacation trip.

We’ve been walking the Camino de Santiago for the past two weeks, and the Parador de Pontevedra was unfortunately our worst hotel experience. We’ve been met at every other property with kindness, but the staff at the Parador was impersonal at best and plainly unkind to us at worst. If you’re prepared to pay for even the most basic of services, this is a perfectly fine place to stay, but we’ve found the most magical service at lodgings a quarter of the price of the Parador. No information was offered at where to eat, where to go, etc. And the cleaning was shoddy as well.

Hotel is great but the promised free parking didn't exist; had to park off site and pay
Breakfast good but no where as good as the Parador in Santiago.

We have been staying in paradores as we travel around Galicia, this one was not quite up to some of the others. The two men at front desk were great, helpful, friendly, giving good advice. The other people not so much, I think the biggest problem we had was the breakfast for 29.30 E the server never greeted us, the buffet plates were empty and never refilled, we were not offered any hot food like in other paradores. We had 2cups of coffee and 2 pieces of toast. We did not want to cause a fuss but we were pretty upset. The next day we went to have a glass of wine and again service was still lacking. I understand restrictions because of Covid but ringing a bell to get a server just seemed wrong then not having the server ever return to see if you’d like another glass of wine well we just left. Our biggest problem were the beds so uncomfortable springs, saggy mattresses, just not up to other hotels for price.

Charming old but well-maintained parador. Difficult to find but once we did, well worth it. Food excellent too.

This hotel is conveniently located for most of the sights in Pontevedra and is a lovely building in its own right. I would encourage people to visit the town and have a look around for a day or two.

Good location, easy to find. Whilst the oarking is limited the staff are helpful but it helps to get there early.

Beautiful historical building in the centre of old city. Room was good and clean, breakfast very good. there are some places for parking on the site and big city parking nearby. Staff is very helpful and attentive. Close to many tourist attractions.
2.0
Beautiful building with a very pleasant garden. Staff were helpful but not overly smiley.
The bed steads were like old school metal frames that moved alarmingly when sitting down on them. I know it's an old building and it's not possible to correct this, but the floor boards were VERY squeaky!
