Just stayed here. Not at all how it is represented. No staff anywhere. No contact info nor info about the apartment in the apartment, A maid let me in who did not speak English and that was the end of the communication. Appliances broken, other appliances and amenities advertised were not in the apartment. Non stop heavy water leak from the ceiling resulting in pools of water in the middle of the living room day and night. Mold on some walls from the leak. Sliding glass door lock broken resulting in lack of security. All locks on the doors had been haphazardly ripped off the wall leaving only the lock on the door itself working. Towels ripped and torn. No sheets provided.
Someone entered my apartment while I was sleeping in the loft that I literally had to chase away.
Children screaming all day in the abandoned lobby and hiding when I would come down to let myself out. Grown children, 12 year old boys who should know better. Elevator broken part of the time I spent there.
Crummy neighborhood that is mostly abandoned or closed up.
Huge misrepresentation!
Shame on Expedia for allowing this place to stay on their site.

It is located in a very good place. Walking distance to the bus station and subway. Many small corner market's to buy food and drink's, being the hotel is suite's with a kitchen with frig, microwave, stove, sink and much more.
Plus there are many nice cafe's and steak house's to eat at. The room has two bathroom's .
It also has a nice big screen tv and air conditioning.
The water pressure is very good and the shower is excellent.

We were only here for 1 night for our layover coming from Ushuaia with onward travel to New York. We arrived late in the night (12AM) and were were welcomed by the nighttime staff. Our check-in went smoothly and our arrangement for transportation in the morning was done at the time of check-in. My wife was a little bit hungry and the hotel was able to put something together for her even though the kitchen was closed. We made the reservation at this hotel knowing that it was in close proximity to the airport (EZE) and the transportation was included in our stay. We think that the room was a bit small for any extended stay, but all we needed for the few hours of rest before the next leg of our journey.

Hotel was clean, very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was okay but not great. I'd recommend the hotel to people who know the city. We asked the front desk person questions on different occasions and either got bad information or completely unhelpful information. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

Hotel IS Realty nice and located in San Telmo. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lautaro was a great help. The only negative is that it is on a busy street and if you are a light sleeper you might have trouble with the early morning and late traffic

Nice place for the money; not luxury but reasonably nice, new, and overall a good value. Good location close to Subte. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only real complaint- beds were not as large as advertised (twin instead of queen).

I enjoyed my stay at Piedras suites: The staff members were very helpful regardless of whether it was advice for travel mode, dining, sightseeing ,Housekeeping etc; I attended the CITA Tango festival 15 and the hotel was conveniently located for that occasion especially. I enjoyed my stay. The only inconvenience was that WiFi was inoperable for two (2) days.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff at front desk were all extremely helpful, speaking perfectly fluent english. They were only too happy to help in getting to places, seeing shows, finding ATM's, etc... I would recommend this hotel to anyone. There were a couple of tango studios are too which we saw but never stepped foot in. We arrived late at night and were thrilled to find 2 awesome restaurants within 2 blocks of the place open till midnight. Also, taxis are always going down Piedras and the hotel is only one block from Independencia, so hailing a cab and getting around is always easy.

The room was a well designed maisonette with two bathrooms, a big refrigerator, and a usable kitchen with stovetop and microwave. The breakfast was an adequate continental breakfast (plenty of fresh fruit) that we could take on the rooftop terrace. The hotel is in easy walking distance of both Plaza Dorrego and the Casa Rosada. Many buses cross through the area, and the subway is just a ten minute walk away. San Telmo is filled with cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and food stores, and is a quite exciting place to stay. However, the hotel did not deserve the high ratings that drew us to it owing to the fact that the walls of the rooms were smudged, beaten and scuffed, as if they had not been patched and painted for many years. Notably, about ten days before we left, workers began to carry out the overdue repairs, but that was too late for us. I assume that in a short time the rooms will be in much better condition.

Great stay at Piedras! The two-story set-up is great for families. The location and neighborhood is fantastic. The guy's at the front aren't always super-friendly. You have to leave your key when you go out and then ring the bell to be let in each time. That was kind of a pain, but not too big of a deal for us. Highly recommended for the price.

All employees were extremely helpful. Outstanding, well-appointed room. The only critical thing I can say is the sofa/bed was uncomfortable to sit on, as most sofa/beds are. Highly recommended and outstanding value!

Hotel is located in heart of San Telmo, a barrio with a lot of character and comes alive on the weekend especially Sundays. The suites are modern, clean and perfect for families. Definitely recommended. The front desk was very helpful and booked a private car to EZE airport for us.

Fairly good location, a couple of blocks from major atea draws, plaza dorrego, plaza de mayo, etc.
Nice neignbourhood experience despite a couple of drawbacks, uneven sidewalks, dog excrement.

We stayed in a fancy hotel in downtown for a few days before we checked into Piedras suites apartment. We were very impressed with the size of the apartment, how clean and modern the building was. It has great location, friendly staff and safe neighborhood. We will definitely book this apartment again.

It was a pleasant stay at piedras suites. The neighborhood was safe and convenient. It takes u 5 mins walk to the subway station. I also did the tourist bus which the station is within a walkable distance. A special thanks to Cristen who tries his effort to make arrangemenr for our booked tango show. We made an online reservation for a tango show n that company forgot to pick us up. Because of language barrier, Cristen sorted the thing out for us. Thanks again n our stay was a good one!

We loved our place in San Telmo. HUGE open plan, split level apartment with balcony, kitchen, living area, great queen bed with excellent sheets.
Location is excellent, a short walk to Line C Indepencia subway station. You are also close to all the great local restaurants in San Telmo. Try Saltanapoli just around the corner which does cheap, wonderfully authentic Argentinian food from Salta. There are also small local groceries, bakeries etc, everything you need.
Another tip: How to get laundry done cheap! Walk out of Piedras, turn right onto Estados Unidos, walk a couple of blocks and you'll find a laundry on your right. You can do your own laundry in the machines, but why bother when they will do your whole bag for a mere 48 pesos! They don't speak much English though so write down your request in Spanish before you go (Google Translate or ask the front desk guys).
Some people will tell you the area is dangerous but we never felt unsafe at all, even walking around at night. Obviously crime happens in BA so use your wits and you'll be OK.
Our only complaints would be that the sofa was pretty uncomfortable for sitting because it was a cheap sofa-bed. Also, most of the guys on the front desk speak excellent English but you'll find occasionally there is someone who doesn't speak alot of English. You'll get by though as they are friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay again, Piedras is excellent value for money!

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My younger daughter (age 8) found the complimentary breakfast, the 2nd best shes ever eaten. (My pancakes win first prize). The hotel is very convenient and the amenities perfect for a family who wants to save money by shopping at the local supermarket in addition to eating at neighborhood restaurants. Really enjoyed the neighborhood. It is convenient to everything. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed in this Hotel/Apartment for 6 nights for our honyemoon. Not only where the staff the most helpful and courteous people, they did everything to make our stay in Argentina wonderful. From recommending restaurants and shows to helping us by storing luggage whilst we went to Mendoza for 4 nights. One of the best places we have stayed.
Thank you very much to all the staff at Piedras Suites.
