Ok on the whole, room quite dated but nice enough. Bed wasnt fantastic and the tv didn't work / have any signal. Quite alot of niose from the wedding, went on past 12am. Breakfast was really nice and a good portion of food (full english). Staff freindly, helpful and polite. Location was good, grounds really nice. Would stay again however not when there is a wedding on, would check in advance.

Our stay was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and eager to help us with anything we needed. I had an online class one evening that required me to be online for 4 hours. The staff were very understanding. They booked an area out for me to sit and order my dinner from, regularly checking I had everything I needed. We will definitely be back.

Room was pleasant enough, nice and tidy. Had no electric on arrival but soon sorted that. Nice driving range and golf course on site. Service in the restaurant was really slow to say I was the only one in there. But the food was really nice.

Overnight stay in Rutland cottage for my son's wedding, very clean, very large comfortable bed, excellent large bathroom with bath & wetroom shower & conservatory at rear doubling the size. Would be nice to have a fridge same as the other cottages but overall a very pleasant stay.

I used to stay here a lot on business years ago. Stayed this weekend on a visit with my wife. Happy to say it has lost none of its charm. Lovely friendly hotel set in beautiful surroundings with a super golf course. Not expensive, really good breakfast. Loved it. Well done Horsley lodge!

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was great. The grounds and surrounding area are beautiful (although grounds are a golf course and you cant walk around unless playing). We drove to nearby pubs and restaurants for dinner and there are lots of nice options. Our cottage was full of charachter and although rustic it was clean. Would recommend as a base for exploring nearby villages.

I stayed at this hotel in August 2024. The check in process was very easy and I was given the key to the room called Tudor. The room was very clean and overlooked the 9th green of the golf course. Overall it was a great stay.

Stay was good. Lovely setting. Quirky room we liked. Barn cottage does have a spiral staircase which could be an issue for those with poor mobility. Food was lovely in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

We stayed in the one of the suites. It was lovely and spacious over 3 levels. Beds were comfy. Nice garden out the back. Overall clean but could have done with a little bit of a deep clean, lots of cobwebs in corners and on lights. Breakfast was nice but having to wait an hour for breakfast when there were 2 other tables in the whole restaurant wasn't great.

Absolutely tip top overnight stay. Lovely room, fab bathroom, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We had the added bonus of a conservatory with access to the garden. We had an enjoyable evening meal and delicious cooked breakfast. The dining room/bar has a lovely terrace with stunning views. Staff were all courteous and friendly. There is also a very well maintained and challenging18 hole golf course. Would definitely return.

Lovely location with ample parking and piece and quiet. Reception not manned when we got there which took a while to resolve. A bell would be good. Room lovely though wifi did not extend too well to very end of bedroom. But everything else was fine. Breakfast excellent

Friendly welcome on arrival. Room was comfortable and well stocked with bottled water and beverages. Breakfast menu gave an excellent choice and even better was the fact your choice was freshly cooked to order from local suppliers. Magnificent views over the golf course to boot.

What a lovely venue, first time staying here and would happily return. Slight issue upon check in, but one that was quickly and politely resolved by the check in staff (who was lovely) had specifically booked a king sized bed room but was initially provided a double - when expressing this the room was swiftly swapped. The food was really very good with generous portions. My only issue was the menu and staff’s knowledge of allergies was very limited - whilst they did advise most things could be swapped for gluten free needs, the menu did not specify vegan, vegetarian or gluten free qualities. The chef very kindly provided a GF bun for the burger but my partner did have an adverse reaction to what we can only assume was the burger itself, which we were assured was Gluten free, thankfully medication was to hand! But it may be worth having stricter knowledge on allergens and ingredients in the food. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and peaceful. Fan provided in the room. Simple and swift check in and check out process… I do look forward to returning, just might pass on the burger! Lovely staff

Hotel was great although there were a few cobwebs in the room and bathroom . Room was ample size comfy bed and staff were amazing . Very friendly and helpful , grounds were beautiful and scenery . A wedding party was on both nights be this did not impact on our stay not noisy at all .

I was staying overnight on business. It was a very friendly hotel with everything I needed, including excellent wifi. The room was spacious and very comfortable and I had a great night, followed by a great breakfast. I ate that evening in the bar and that, too, was excellent. I will most definitely stay there again.

The hotel is in beautiful grounds with stunning views over the golf course and countryside. The staff are all very friendly, and the food was delicious. Our room was very spacious, with the only downside being it was dark, with a small window overlooking a roof. Such a shame not to have had a view
