Nice hotel but the bin in the room had not been emptied. I don’t like the idea of having to choose what you want for breakfast the night before. At breakfast there was just one staff member serving breakfast. Tables were full of dirty pots and it took a long time for meals to be served

We stayed here for a few days. The hotel was welcoming on a cold afternoon and once we settled in, we headed to the bar for drinks and eats. In the end we bought 2 bottles of wine and we had starters. Nice food well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately we did report to the guy on reception that we found what looked like smashed glass outside a room when we walked past. The next day it was still there, we did then tell the cleaner the following morning, who picked it up as in the end it was plastic. The rooms and main arwas were clean but the corridors to and from our room were not hoovered while we were there. We did enjoy our stay and will stay again. Its proximity to glasgow is great and very easy to get to. Unfortunately it wasnt until I got home that I seen that instead of 2 bottles of wine I was charged 3, so in future I would check my bill mor thoroughly... wouldnt deter me returning, we all make mistakes and I did sign and pay the bill.

It was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The property is beautiful as was my room. It was very quiet as well. The hotel is 5 min away from the train station making it very convenient to travel to Glasgow or Edinburg. If I ever find a way to make it back to Scotland, this will be the hotel I stay in.

Conveniently located with easy access to all of the Central Belt comes with the downside of being on a busy noisy road. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are fairly low grade but very filling! Rooms and furnishings are a little tired.

Very friendly staff, we were able to drop our bag off a few hours before check in and when we returned check in was very straightforward forward and we were asked to complete our choice for breakfast for the following morning which I think is a great idea. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was lovely and clean too. Plenty of lighting options in the room, well stocked coffee and tea, bottles of water, cookies and a nice touch the caramel wafer biscuits. The bed was very comfortable, good quality bed linen and pillows and the bath towels were nice and fluffy and bright white. We were visiting family locally so did not eat at the hotel that evening but we did call in for a drink later that night, tables were very clean and prices reasonable. Lauren was extremely pleasant at breakfast, we were shown to a table within a few seconds of arriving to breakfast, tea and coffee brought to the table in the first minute and we didn’t have long to wait for our breakfast to arrive, which was a good quality Scottish breakfast. I have to say both myself and husband believe Lauren is an asset to the team, she was very smart and friendly. We will definitely choose The Moorings on our next visit to our family in the area.

The room was on the ground floor next to a unlocked housekeeping room. It was very untidy the light in the hall was faulty so flickered all the time. You could hear staff going in and out of the doors through out the night to the kitchen etc. The hotel is well located and the staff super friendly. We had both dinner and breakfast the cooked breakfast was excellent.

The Moorings was in a central position to shops. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our evening meal was very nice as was breakfast. Our room, although not big was nicely furnished and clean. The bathroom was a tad small but had a shower head with great pressure. Bed was firm and comfortable.

an overnight stop over, clean and comfortable room. Struggled to find the hotel as the sign post was obstructed by a large hedge and the hotel itself didn't have a name on it. There was a wedding party and other function going on when we arrived but the sounds where contained downstairs so we had a good nights sleep. We enjoyed our stay

Everything was great except the location of the room. Pray you don’t get a room number in the 40s. Attached restaurant was a huge convenience, food there was good but pricy and needs seasoning. Staff was very friendly. Laundry was 60 pound for 3 outfits fyi. Would recommend.

Room was lovely and comfortable, blackout curtains were really good. Breakfast was tasty, although not too much variety. Staff were very helpful and friendly, if I'm ever in the area, I'd stay here again.

It was noisy at the ground floor and there’s no air conditioner or even a fan, you have to open the window and leave it open to get fresh air. Terrible idea because it is noisy outside but if you don’t open the window it’s very hot inside the bedroom.

The hotel was generally clean and tide, but we were inca room oveglooking the carpak so a lithle budy. The room was loverly though, the evening meal was poor- but we were given a complimentary drink thst made up forvthe shortfall. However the breakfast great and more than made up firvthe evening shorfall so a great lithle hotel andvfzntastic dtaff.

We arrived very late but night porter let us in. Couldn't get a drink (11.00 pm). Overall though a pretty nice hotel & reasonably priced. Room had a few minor maintenance issues. Would consider staying again.

Room comfortable enough, same with cleanliness, unfortunately there was a whirring noise all night keeping us up. What’s more annoying the hotel was pretty much empty so why put us in a room with issues? Very poor service

Had an amazing stay! The staff are friendly and so welcoming. The restaurant staff in the morning was exceptional, they went above and beyond. The bed was super comfy, I had the best night sleep. Haven’t slept so well in a long time. The only thing I would change is having a lift., carrying a suitcase up the stairs almost killed me lol. But overall would give a 10/10 and can’t wait to visit again

I’m pleased with my room it was dark not brighter due health reason. Would be perfect if have air conditioning the room was so warm. Ideal to have usb with single or sockets beside bed sided table. I need access both for sleep apnoea machine and charging up my mobile. Saturday morning seem like a shortage of staff, took a while served my breakfast. On Sunday it was so quick. All the staff are so lovely and friendly.
