I had one unique experience there. The place is quiet, clean and I felt really safe. The food at restaurants there are amazing

Our stay at Vila dos Orixás in Morro de São Paulo was absolutely amazing! The staff at the hotel were incredibly attentive and made us feel like royalty during our time there. Their warm hospitality and excellent service truly enhanced our experience.
The food at the hotel was outstanding, with a fantastic blend of local flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed. Each meal was a culinary delight, and we looked forward to dining at the hotel every day.
While we had a fantastic stay overall, the only downside was the air conditioning not working properly in our room. It was a bit uncomfortable at times, especially during the warm nights. Additionally, dealing with mosquitoes due to the mangrove floret was a bit challenging, especially knowing that the government restrictions prevented the hotel from addressing the issue.
Despite these minor inconveniences, our time at Vila dos Orixás was truly special. The beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and delicious food made our stay unforgettable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway in Morro de São Paulo.

What didn't we love about this hotel! It was perfect. Nestled in a quiet secluded space away from the busy town. There was transportation that would take us to and from the hotel to the town center. The beach was quiet and pretty much all to ourselves, we loved that. The breakfast was delicious and our dinner superb. I enjoyed the moqueca de peixe and my husband had steak which was super yum. Would def stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Great little bungalow with a great sea view [we stayed right infront of beach..just a little bit of grass on the sandy ground between beach and bunglow]. Clean and tidy with nice staff. The restaurant is good, with ok breakfast [plenty of options of cakes and Brazilian food]. It serves food for standard bar prices, which is good value considering it is an out of the way hotel. The place is very tranquil and there is a really cool beach, with mangrove all around. The water is cut by mangrove and so the tide is gentle and warm water. The mangrove has cool birds and monkeys. There is a selection of land rovers that drive every day through the day and night to the town. You get to be in the middle of nowhere and have a link to the hustle and bustle of the shops and restaurants. A really good place to stay and without a doubt a very good value holiday. It is like paradise.

There is a rustic charm to the hotel and compared to other accommodations on the island, I can see why this would be considered a bit of a higher end property. That being said, there are definitely some areas needing improvement. The shower faucet fixtures kept coming loose, as did the towel hook in the sink area. I was told that it had rained heavily in the days prior to my arrival. As a result, there were earthworms throughout the bungalow during my entire stay. Not enough for an infestation but enough to be rather annoying. You will also need to use the bug spray in the room. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of outlets for appliances. Location is great for quiet relaxation and is a good option if you don’t want to stay in the hustle and bustle of second and third praias. The bungalows are far enough apart to offer a good amount of privacy from other guests. Not once did I hear any loud noises from anybody in the surrounding bungalows. The only time I heard any noise was during the day at the pool (which my bungalow was near) and when dining at the restaurant. The beach is a marvel to walk out so far and be able to see a panoramic view of the coast. The water is unbelievably warm as well. The section of beach the property abuts is not ideal for swimming but, it is relaxing to have the waves lap at your feet. Other than not offering a firm resolution to the earthworm issue, the entire staff was superb. Food was great as well.

Vila dos Orixas was such a fantastic hotel, charming, beautiful grounds, very intimate with only 15 rooms. Service was perfect, the room large and beautiful. We had all our meals here, all excellent. We can’t recommend it enough!

Beautiful hotel. Orbits misrepresented the room that I purchased. I would highly recommend avoiding orbitz and calling the hotel directly. Ask for Jordy as he is the owner operator who is also upset that orbitz misrepresented his property. It really is an amazing place though. Yesterday I woke up and walked to the beach to find the

If you're looking for a piece of paradise, a short (but long enough) distance away from the convenience of the village of Morro de Sao Paulo, then this is the place.
After stepping of the Catamaran onto the pier at Morro de Sao Paulo it was a simple enough 5 minute walk to the hotel collection point. An off road jeep will be arranged to take you on the 20 minute ride to the hotel. If you want to head back into the village, there are frequent hotel serviced shuttle rides throughout the day and night.
The hotel and the beach it sits on are idyllic. We wanted somewhere to rest and recharge our batteries and that's exactly what we got.
The rooms are kept simple, stylish and functional and work perfectly.
The hotel restaurant and bar arguably serve better food and at the same price as any restaurant you'll find in the village.
The Spanish owners together with the other staff form a very warm, receptive and helpful team.
Myself and my wife very much hope to return soon.

What a great experience. The staff and hotel were great. This is a great escape for couples who want to get away from it all. The beach is shallow and hard to swim in but the pool is very nice.

Wonderful stay at Vila dos Orixas.
If you are looking for relaxation, nature and great services, I highly recommend this Hotel.
Everyone who works there is extremely nice, and willing to help with any questions.
The Hotel is about 20 minutes from the city center, however there are free transfers at specific times!
The food, pool, beaches are amazing, also!
We will be back for sure, and recommend that everyone visit this Hotel in Morro de Sao Paulo!

I wish I never had to leave!!! The bungalow was so clean and was very nice. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. The pool was awesome, the beach was awesome, the food was awesome, there isn't anything bad I could say about this hotel. I went with 2 of my friends just for 1 relaxing night, but I would imagine this is a great place for honeymooners that want to be in a private, romantic area. You feel like you are the only ones at the resort!
I would recommend taking the small airplane to and from the island instead of the boat. it is much more expensive, but you save yourself of 2.5 hours of miserable seasickness. Our boat had over 20 people constantly throwing up for 2.5 hours... that was not pleasant. So we took the airplane back, and it was totally worth the extra money. Not only does it save you time (flight is about 25 minutes), but it's a really cool experience to be in a tiny plane that holds 6 people flying over the island and water.

Can't recommend this lovely resort more highly. There are only a few bungalows so you real feel like you have your own slice of heaven on a very quiet side of the island. The superior bungalows look right out onto the beautiful private beach and the pool and other public areas are in gorgeous jungle-like surroundings. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the regular shuttle to town (it's about a 20 min jeep ride) was incredibly useful. The food in the restaurant was great. My only criticism would be that the bungalows aren't very well mosquito protected (there are holes between the panes in the sliding doors and windows - so bring plenty of deet!

Very nice hotel and nice people. Excellent option to be quiet and relax. To go to the town you need to take a jeep of 20 minutes.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect for what we were looking for. The food in the restaurant was great, the grounds were beautiful and it was a truly relaxing environment. Although this place was beautiful, it was very very hard to get to so make sure you stay a while if you are coming. If you are looking for the party scene on the island this might not be your place but if you want to relax and have a few drinks on the beach this is your place!

This was the final part of our honeymoon in Brazil and we couldn't have asked for more. We stayed the first night in a luxury bungalow which was equipped with mosquito net and a jacuzzi in the room. The views from the bungalow were dreamy... We woke up looking into the sea and because the hotel is located on the most beautiful and reclusive beach of the island so it looked like we were truly in paradise. The restaurant was fantastic, service 5star, delicious cocktails (I recommend the coco loco) and the hotel even has a shuttle service that takes you into the busy touristic centre throughout the day and night (inc in the price). Couldn't have asked for more... This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever stayed at and would definitely go back given the opportunity.

Beautiful rooms, great breakfast, extremely helpful staff, wi-fi, great pool, beautiful grounds, wildlife abundant. Con - a little far from the activity and wide sand beaches of beach 2.
