The entire expo was great and we would definitely go back. The only thing I did not like was that I had a fever and had to buy Advil from their “Trade Market shop”. Normally I bring it with me. They charged us $18 for a small bottle of Advil. That bottle is about $6-$7 in stores. I found that a major ripoff. I’d still go to stay there but bring my own Advil or go to the town to buy anything I need.

It was amazing and very good customer services, house keeping and restaurants.

Beautiful location and tons of potential, but hotel is worn and is not a $600 a night room / property. Def catching in on scarce inventory in the area.

We stayed 3 nights from September 3-6 2024.
Windermere is truly the "Lady of the Lake". We enjoyed all the amenities, the beautiful grounds, the heated pool, the jacuzzi, the outdoor saunas and most of all the tennis court. The room was huge, the beds were comfortable. The TV's internet connection issue was quickly resolved, and a replacement TV was provided.
However, regrettably, we were NOT made aware (at least it is not CLEARLY indicated on the resort's website; although I did find it after the fact) that the restaurant is closed Monday to Thursday after Labour Day. Although, the pub is open; however, we did not travel for 3 hrs to eat pizza and hamburgers! This, we can do at one of the establishments in our neighbourhood. Finding another restaurant was not part of our plan and would have required a 30-45 min drive.
Of course, there is a bar, unfortunately without any bartender in sight! One more thing: the mention of bike trails is an exaggeration.
Despite this, if one decides to go after Labour Day, one must consider the existing dining room arrangements.
Conclusion: a wonderful place.

hotel is good and restaurant is also nice.

I stayed here for one night with my 7 year old son. It’s a very traditional Muskoka resort. It was beautiful and my son especially loved the pool and activities.
We had breakfast there and unfortunately the breakfast sausage gave us both food poisoning, making us both quite sick the following night. I was quite disappointed that our stay ended like that, and hopefully their breakfast buffet is improved so that can be avoided next season.

We come every year. The new owners had made great improvements! Food is way better, way friendlier, more helpful staff. And the redone pool area with hot tub, saunas and new patio is fantastic!

Shawn was very helpful at check in and our room was lovely. First time using the pool area and enjoyed the pub for dinner. Excellent vista from our room and we loved eating breakfast on the front veranda

Beautiful, charming place which has everything you need for being active or lazy. You always can find things to complain about, but for our standards everything was very good. Definitely will come back.

Very nice place, perfect for a quiet vacation. Not impressed by the food but overall a really good vacation.

Beautiful grounds and location however rooms are becoming weathered. Our bathroom was not clean. Hair all over floor and tub, hair was obviously pushed around with a mop, but gross. Wall spattered with dirt and baseboard trim covered in dust. Staff at check in and restaurants/bar were excellent.

Beautiful location. Checkout was a bit slow and food at the pub wasn't great and was expensive. Rooms are nothing fancy but that doesn't matter because the grounds are stunning and there are plenty of activities so you don't spend much time in your room.

Hotel staff were fantastic and property is beautiful, offering every amenity. Worth the visit!!

I loved the premises. Very clean. Beautiful set up. The staff was excellent.
I thought the menu items were a bit too expensive.

Beautiful historic establishment that has kept its special “cachet” through rebuilding and renovation. Excellent staff, very clean premises in wonderful Muskokas setting. First class cuisine, exquisite view on long veranda overlooking lake Rosseau. Quiet and relaxing sauna, pool and hot tub set up with gas fire pit, nice tennis courts. Spa services available. A must for couples!

The property was good but not worth the price we paid. When I'm paying $700 a night, i expect everything to be provided upfront without the need to ask for each and everything. First off, the parking is situated at the backside of the property and the road that leads to the property is from the front. So there is no signs on the road to indicate that the parking exists at the back. Secondly, the door of the room was so hard to open. They don't have keyless entries even now in 2024. The food was okay, not exceptional. Overall one time visit for me.

Personal & attentive staff.Quiet and calm setting. Perfect getaway from the city hustle & bustle.

The hotel is cleaned and well-maintained but it's an old property and the rooms need to be renovated. That being said, it has a nostalgic feeling to it and the grounds and lakefront are beautiful. The saunas by the pool are a nice addition and the food is delicious. Staff are attentive and friendly.
6.0
It did not state anywhere in the property description that the beach is a small public beach. The water was so dirty that there was a warning sign at the beach saying no swimming due to high levels of bacteria.
Also, we paid extra for a lakeview room and our room had one small window in the corner that was no more than 2' wide. Useless!
6.0
The room had an odour of mold, but otherwise the hotel itself was clean, and all looked very nice.
There are certainly some staff issues with not being able to handle things at the dining room in the morning, and Pub in the afternoon/evening.
I loved the property and the overall estate was beautiful.

Very peaceful spot, great food at the pub and a nice breakfast is included. They have made some upgrades, like outdoor saunas, a new hot tub and pool area. All in all lovely. Room was spacious and clean, staff were very friendly and courteous. This is the best option around in the Muskoka are.

This property is good if you plan to be out of your room enjoying all of the many activities provided by the hotel.
I was looking to have a quiet night by myself, and it was hard to find a quiet place. The only quiet place was my room - which looked like the furniture was purchased from an estate sale in the 80's. There was no central air, just a massive wall unit which also looked to be from the 80s. I paid over $500 for this room.
I was looking forward to using the saunas - two of them didn't seem to be heating up, when I got the third working - the sides are made of glass so I was on view to the rest of the hotel having dinner - plus a live singer (who was wonderful)...but it was hard to relax and feel comfortable sweating in front of 100 people eating dinner.
All in all, a nice experience, but made for families and friends - not solo travellers.

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff was super accommodating with birthday surprises in the room. Rooms were beautiful and clean, and bed was so luxurious and comfy! Definitely returning to this jem.

Beautiful location, rooms facing the water are a must!
One of the best views in Muskoka. Great dinner at the restaurant. Pleasantly surprised

Everything was excellent! The only one issue was our room wasn't ready when it was time to check in.

The location of the property is amazing
We had a very pleasant time the personnel is great and ready to assist and help
We were in room 207 and we experienced a very unpleasant smell that we could not get rid of even when we opened the windows and put the AC on ( AC was off and room was very warm when we entered)
Also we suggest that you upgrade the shower head
in that room as it is tiny and makes showering difficult.
We will definitely revisit the property in the future
