My first time to the Cotswolds and this was the perfect start. The White Hart Royal had all the charm and coziness I was expecting. Very friendly staff and perfect bar and restaurant. I would definitely recommend this inn for any visit to the Cotswolds. Very easy train ride from London too and a brief walk from the train station to the hotel

Outstanding, great service , great food, very quaint, quirky and historic, staff were fantastic

An amazing stay! The hospitality was wonderful. They were extremely accommodating in helping us with all our needs. We had bikes that needed charging and storage. They went out of their way to help us! The hotel is historic…so it is old, but lots of atmosphere.
4.6
They upgraded us to a lager room, however it meant dragging our suitcase up a flight of stairs. Very nice and spacious otherwise. Staff were great and breakfast bery good.
4.6
Lovely stay despite the weather. The food was great. The bed was comfy. The room was fabulous, the courtyard area was great having 2 dogs. But the best bit was the staff were great particularly Andrew! Thank you so much for making us soooo welcome.

We were touring the Cotswolds with some friends from the US and wanted to show them some old English charm. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Moreton and is quintessentially Cotswolds. The staff were superb, welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the evening meal was first rate, as was the breakfast. We were however disappointed with the room. We booked one of the superior rooms and it was, well bland. Additionally it had my pet hate in all hotel rooms, a shower curtain over the bath. For the price, I would expect the facilities to be better.

Excellent hotel in every way!

From start to finish we couldn't have asked for more.
All the staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble.
Having just got married, a week earlier, they made our celebration last even longer.
Thank you all at The White Hart Royal Hotel.

We were sold this as a premier room £300! with space for our dog. The room was tiny, tired not representative of any of the pictures and quite frankly not fit for purpose. There was no safe parking and were told to park on the street.

Biggest most comfortable bed divine best nights sleep ever.As we had early start kindly provided continental breakfast Staff very friendly

Excellent stay. Great location. Staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Food was outstanding. We had an evening meal and breakfast. Would stay again and recommend.

It’s a lovely old hotel with lots of interesting features. We stayed there for our 25th wedding anniversary and despite having told the hotel this, there was, at no point, any reference to this at all.
Our room was gorgeous with a huge bed; it was quite noisy being at the front of the hotel meaning that you can’t have any windows open at night - they did provide a fan which helped. The breakfast was very good.
4.6
Hotel and village was lovely however the road noise made it difficult to sleep.

We were very impressed with the Royal White Hart. Our room was lovely, it was a double delux, room 304. We had our own garden. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was also very big and had a separate shower and bath. There was a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board in the room. There were toiletries provided. The hotel breakfast was nice and hot and tasty. There were various little outside seating areas which were very nice as we were there on the two hottest days of the year, so it was nice to sit outside with a drink. Our room also thankfully had air conditioning. The staff were all very pleasant and hard working. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in supper location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was terrific. Restaurant good too. Housekeeping keep it spotless. Would certainly stay again.

Booked a couple of Superior Double rooms for ourselves and friends for two nights as visiting RIAT air show. Our room was small but well appointed with plenty of storage space, tea and coffee, radio, comfortable bed and pillow and very clean. Good shower of the over bath type. All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, excellent in fact. Parking space is limited but we had no problems during our stay. We ate at the hotel first night but were disappointed with the burgers we ordered, not juicy and rather dry. Excellent breakfast options and top quality. Sadly we missed our first breakfast as an early start for our show. It’s a lovely little period property and I would recommend it. Although quite happy with our room and obviously all the rooms will be different in this type of property we booked two superior doubles. Our room was small, no aircon, window opened onto a busy noisy road. Our friends room was more like a suite, far larger, aircon, walk in shower, garden (yes!) slippers and dressing gowns, facing a pretty courtyard. So, not quite understanding how the superior classification works.
Enjoy your travels!

Pub was excellent place to stay, we had a superior room which was nice and big and loved it. In a good location to visit places in nearby area. Food was excellent especially breakfast. Staff were very good too and very friendly. Would stay here again.
4.6
Well run property with an excellent restaurant and staff. But it is on a very noisy street so you have choice between too much noise or not enough fresh air. We enjoyed our stay but for the price you should get both low noice and fresh air.
4.6
Everything was top notch and we would return if we weren't from Canada ( a bit far) but the only tip I would pass on is definitely ask for a room that Does Not overlook the road as it is the main route through town and it is busy with traffic from morning till around midnight.,including very large noisy trucks non stop. Take ear plugs
I understand that this is not within the hotels control. We would recommend it to others. Excellent breakfast menu, very kind housekeeping staff and helpful front desk folks.
4.6
Breakfast awful - no effort made to replace it, just told I will inform the chef.
Room was like a sauna - no way of opening window - no air con
4.6
Very enjoyable stay, good food served by friendly helpful staff.
4.6
Excellent service from the staff and a great place to stay for location, food and accommodation.
4.6
Such a cool hotel and staff was so friendly. Perfect location for transportation to other areas of the Cotswolds. Only mistake we made was booking a small bed!
4.6
I stayed her ein my first trip to the Cotswolds, o would definitely recommend. Staff were friendly, service was good, I enjoyed the dining and breakfast, the bar area was nice and cozy atmosphere.
4.6
Our room was tiny and the Inn so old it listed to one side. Dinner was good and staff friendly.
4.6
We loved our room! Classical music playing along with birdsong from the courtyard we viewed and absolutely no traffic noise. The breakfast was amazing every day. The history was all around us and we felt it too with every awkward step winding our way to our room. Delightful experience!

Good staff

Enjoyed my stay in this inn and the ambiance. It was great to see what they had done with a property dating from the 17th century that allows it's historical charm to show though. The room and bath was well appointed. Staff was attentive. The property is nestled in a quintessential Cotswolds town that is 5 min from the GWR train.
4.6
The hotel is old but well maintained. The staff is absolutely amazing. So helpful!!!! The restaurant was delicious and not expensive. The area is safe with shops and train and bus within walking distance. Some trains were harder to come by - example: getting to Gatwick Airport was not easy , but trips to Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon, and London were easy and pleasant. Room was nice and bed very comfortable. I stayed in superior queen. Would recommend
4.6
Comfy Room & bed, friendly staff, great breakfast & location convenient for exploring.
Note: this is an OLD building: NO A/C (fans are provided), NO lift (staff was kind enough to bring up my suitcase) & very creaky floorboards
4.6
Very nice hotel with good amenities including a pub!
I love the wonky rooms which they have modernized with good en suite bathrooms without losing the charm of sloping floors and walls.

We travel to Europe 4-5 times per year and stay at 4 star hotels. This hotel did not have the qualities of a 4 star hotel.
4.6
Outstanding service. Above and beyond.
Very old historic property that has been updated. Clean and comfortable.
Furniture in rooms and bed linens could stand an upgrade, but otherwise really nice stay in the center of the Cotswolds.
4.6
We’re up visiting family and the hotel was in a fantastic location. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the place was spotless.
Will definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful time, was fiancés birthday, our first time at hotel, left a birthday card on bed upon arrival, everyone was very helpful and friendly, food was amazing

Lovely hotel, great room, lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.

We went to Cheltenham races and found this hotel by chance. It was idealy placed and in the centre of an extremely beautiful part of the country. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the food was 5 star and the room was a lot larger than expected.

3 days 6 adult family visit exactly what we hoped for.. atmosphere, dining staff are just what we needed..

I booked two rooms for an overnight stay, myself and my husband, our two friends and their dog. I specified a walk in shower for our room as I have slight mobility problems. Photos of a variety of rooms on the website. We had dinner, breakfast and drinks in the hotel. Our rooms were attractive, well appointed, warm and comfortable, as were the bar and other public rooms for guests. There is outside space for when the weather is suitable. Food was good with a variety of options on the menus, service was friendly, pleasant & attentive. Dogs are welcomed with little fuss and are well catered for. We received a warm welcome from the manned reception desk. Free off road parking is available and we were able to secure a parking space just outside the front entrance. The hotel was known to myself & my husband as we have visited for drinks and meals a number of times over the years. I have no hesitation in recommending. Morton in Marsh is an attractive small town, with many other interesting small towns and villages within easy reach.

Lovely character building. We stayed in room 308 which was very large with ample room for our Golden Retriever.
Staff were very friendly and dogs are made very welcome. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but it was no hardship eating in the lovely cosy snug bar with its open fire which was on all day. We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch and meals on three nights with no complaints. Lovely circular walk via Batsford Arboretum (welly’s needed due to amount of rain this year) Handy stream by the recreation ground which is near the end of the walk ideal for muddy paws, although there is a hose in the hotel courtyard for hosing off muddy dogs and shoes. 🙂 Would definitely return.
