Very great hotel and staff

Lovely place to stay. Great option of the pool or nearby beach. Staff are very friendly and are willing to help you with any French language deficiencies like mine! Our family room had a lovely view and balcony area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lido immensely. It was right on the sandy beach, and also provided comfortable seating around its own pool, together with drinks service. The restaurants were excellent, if a little pricier than the village offerings, and the breakfasts ample, without the usual rubbery scrambled eggs and tired bacon we get in North America. We’d recommend it for a family, too, as it has good play facilities for children.

Wonderful hotel!! Had a great rest, was so nice to sleep with the patio door open....fresh ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. Would definitely stay here again!!

Very nice property. Comfortable simple room that was clean and quiet. Only comment is that there is no shower curtain so the whole bathroom gets soaked with water when using the shower.

Awesome food!! The rooms are a bit dated, but the hotel experience as a whole is very good. We enjoyed the pool. Very friendly staff, and a great bar. Overall I recommend it strongly.

Lovely beachfront hotel with stunning views. Pool was inviting and there were plenty of sun beds. Breakfast was incredible, so much choice and all well laid out - the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. The evening meal was superb quality and delicious. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Secure onsite parking.

Great location ! The hotel is not to far from the port, so a day trip by boat to Cadaques, Spain is possible. The hotel has a private beach which is very nice. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed and nice view of the sea and swimming pool.

A good stay, helpful staff but old tired decor.

Lovely, small family run property just by the beach.

Issue with booking and confirmation.

Great spot on the beach, retro hotel with everything you need including the original mattresses it would appear. Surly check-in staff who were less than welcoming

The decor in this hotel is rather tired and after a 15 minute walk back from facilities in Argeles we were looking forward to a drink in the hotel bar. It was 10.02pm and we were told that the bar was shut. There were several other guests in the same situation. On a plus side the pool was very good and it is well located for the beach.

Nice reception, poor room: old, not very clean but great view.

It was ok .......the area now is closing down after the season so a lot 80% of shops are closed, we did not stay in the main hotel but he " annex " which is directly opposite. It is ok, a bit tired and you get a feeling of not belonging or shoved to one side but staff are good , room is clean and fairly quiet.

Hotel le Lido is a good looking hotel, the staff we spoke to couldn't be more helpful. One young lady went out of her way on two occasions to help and her English was very good; much better than our French!
We had a room across the road from the main hotel. Very clean and a reasonable standard of comfort.
The air-con worked well, the shower was good, the bed was fairly comfortable.
This hotel has a very good restaurant in the main building, we ate their one evening and were not disappointed. The breakfast offered is extra, 13 e but there was plenty on offer. All in all was a good experience and deserves its 3 stars.

Great alfresco poolside breakfast, easy beach access, walking distance to the village. Disappointed, however, that the hotel charges its guests an extra 20 Euros to sit on a chaise-longue on a small square of beach they have roped off. I can understand charging non-guests, but hitting guests for another 20 Euros? Excessive, I think.

This is 2 star motel in an amazing location. The hotel is in need to be updated, specially the carpets and the linens. The bathrooms are fully renovated. Keep in mind that this hotel is the best in the area. I would definitely go back.

Great staff working to give service in the old style. The resort is overrun with campers. The hotel is an oasis of calm

Nice location but overpriced and sadly let down by attitude of staff at reception.

I would definitely go back to this area/hotel. In September, its mostly the retired generation - and I would say 80% of the stores and restaurants are closed for the season, but we were still able to walk to a few. The only downside to this hotel (for us) was the quality of the wifi ... we had to go out into the hallway to pick it up and then it was very weak in our room.

arrived 1.15 hrs after checkin. Room not ready. No real apologies but told to wait in garden at swimming pool. Really? No chairs to sit down on nr pool or in garden. No offer of another chair. No offer of towels in case we wanted to cool off ( we had been driving for 7 hrs and it was a hot day) Told we could walk in garden whilst they get room ready. No explanation as to why it wasn't ready. Asked for a drink. We were hot and thirsty. Drinks got for us with bad grace and dumped on bar. Then bar staff came into garden and told us our drinks were in the bar. Okay, so why couldn't you just bring the drinks to us rather than just walk and tell us they were there. If you had to walk to tell us you could have brought the drinks. Older woman laying up tables in garden was most unfriendly and ignored us. Receptionist just looked embarrassed after I said we were hot and tired and the least they could do was offer us a drink. Finally got room. No Jacuzzi bath but it was a nice room. thanks to housekeeping, even if they were slow. rest of the staff, including manager who I asked to call me, might need to go on a Welcome Course
BTW also no English channels although the information pack says there are 3

Great hotel, lovely pool and everywhere was very clean. Nice but slightly pricey food.

Wifi barely not working, old small rooms, sunbeds reserved on the beach but you still need to pay for them. Small parking with few spots. But close to the beach and a cute little pool area.

Late September stay and the hotel was clearly winding down - the private beach area had been removed and we were rudely told we were not able to have a snack on the patio, we had to eat a meal in the restaurant.
There was mould in the bathroom and overall the hotel needs a bit of a revamp.
Of all the front of house staff we encountered, only one was brilliant. the rest were pretty miserable.

A 3* hotel who's staff don't seem to have aspirations to take it to the next level. It has so much potential, but really lacking mainly in customer service. You almost feel like you are putting the staff out which is more prevalent in the bar area and the management.

Comfotable hotel with friendly staff and great location right on the sea front.

Lido is a nice hotel in very good location right on the promenade of Plage Argeles. The rooms are scattered among several buildings on two sides of the street. Our room was clean, pleasant but not excellent. The hotel boast a relatively small pool but the sea is only 50 m away. The hotels restaurant is one of the best in the town but again lacked certain charm. Probably the best feature about Lido is the town of Argeles-sur-mer itself. We did not know anything about it before we accidentally booked the hotel and consider it one of the best European resorts we have been. Not flashy or high-end but rather middle-class and democratic, but it has something in the air that made us like it.
