Reception staff were friendly and check in was easy. The room wasnt clean, the bathroom smelt of urine, there were hairs on the surface, only one towel for 2 guests. The decor in the room needed updating, cracks, stains, windows that felt like they were going to go through. The bin hadnt been emptied prior. It was noisy and the extractor fan was useless so the whole room was condensed!! Extra pillows were good.

The location is good. Receptionist was friendly. Lift was broken luckily we was on the first floor. Hall Ways were dirty and looked like they had not been hoovered. The room was small and out dated the bathroom was awful the shower leaked the floor was old the toilet you had to flush hundreds of times to get it to flush. The bedroom was ok but in the corners they were dirt with insects dead , the radiator was rusty and had one temperature. TV was small the room needs a good revamp.

Check in went wrong and so did the rest of the trip from there.

Going under rebuild but still not clear in bathroom

I stayed here with my daughter for 4 nights. The staff were lovely. We only actually encountered one coincidentally but she was so kind and super helpful.
The room decor was a little dated but cosy and comfortable. The bed was fab! Absolutely a must after the trekking all day.
We also had a lovely large bath which we used every day! The plug would let water out when using but I managed to fix it. I did attempt a shower but the power was so high the shower head flew off the wall and almost flooded the bathroom 😂 so we stuck with baths moving forward.
The rooms are close together so if you’re a light sleeper it’s not ideal. You hear A LOT from the neighbours and pub downstairs. Again not an issue for us.
The room had everything we needed including a smart tv which was nice for my daughter at night. Also had free WiFi and parking which is great 😊 I must mention the hot chocolate also. It’s pretty standard to receive the tea/coffee etc but this was a wonderful touch and it was so tasty! I even attempted to find the Welsh branded hot chocolate to take home. Sadly no joy!
It is a dog friendly hotel and we did come across a lot of dog hair (don’t think that’s any fault of the cleaning) just one of those things!
Will absolutely stay again when up in Snowdonia.

Friendly staff, room still a bit dated. We had window open and all we could hear for the whole stay was what I think was a refrigeration unit quite loud for the entire time. Food was good and reasonably priced.
3.9
The hotel was filthy. I couldn't wait to check out. Also there was scaffolding all around the building and the windows were not lockable. I felt totally unsafe with my kids, especially we were facing the pubs and bars. It was noisy and unsuitable
3.9
Because there isn't any A/C we needed to leave the window open and we were facing the parking lot where lots of people congregated to talk & smoke late in the evening. So, it was hard getting sleep with the noise & being warm. The reception manager was super helpful but the fan that she found was broken and she couldn't locate an operational one. The parking lot was nearly impossible to find since it wasn't marked well and they were working on the road in front of the hotel.

Really nice pub in busy area with doorway to rooms at back, rooms surprisingly not loud and comfortable but ageing and ok, generally clean but don't look behind the cabinets or in all the corners. Very handy for the football or a night out and plenty of convenient bits nearby.
3.9
Central but needs modernising
3.9
Comfortable rooms with good facilities. Food in restaurant good. Car park hard to find initially. Needed directions from receptionist.
3.9
Needs a total refurb
3.9
The room is massive, they have a bath which is a big plus for us, the bed is comfy, slept really well
3.9
A great 1 night stay with free parking
3.9
Service and breakfast was excellent, room could do with some updating, decor and carpet old but overall good
3.9
Very good
3.9
Absolutely awful. Dirty, hula hoops on the floor, empty milk sachets. Stain on the sheets. Dust everywhere. Fan thick with dust. Pipe all around the room looked like a jail cell and so did the toilet. Stains all over the bathroom. Headboard was smashed. Window wouldn't stay open properly and there was even a moth on the wedding dress in reception.
3.9
Very run down and dirty. Receptionist great but bar had no beer and the street outside was filled with police and drunken people. Not great.
3.9
Although the inn looked a bit tired it was comfortable, clean, and very central
3.9
All needs supplied & delivered by very friendly & helpfull staff, covering all events
3.9
Not great, pretty rundown
3.9
Service was impeccable, room practical and neat and food in pub perfect
3.9
Very friendly staff
3.9
Have stayed here a few times.
Always a friendly welcome.
Staff helpful. A surprisingly quiet hotel when you consider its central location.
Always easy to park free, although this time part of car park cordoned off for essential works.
Very comfortable rooms and food really good and plentiful, particularly the lovely breakfast.

We had a great stay here. It's under renovations but it’s a perfect location for any city center activity. We would stay here again for sure.
3.9
If you want a warm dusty room that has a noisy nightclub drop then this is for you.. no air con, just a fan. Shower and bathroom were adequate
3.9
The staff were amazing but the poor condition of the hallways and accommodation let them down. I stayed in room 120 the bathroom looked like it was under renovation it was that poor
3.9
The staff was great. The hotel is in horrible condition and there was an odor
3.9
Hair in the plug in the bathroom. Stains on the floor and bedding. Miserable staff and unpleasant check in process. Demanded a deposit even though it had been paid in full in advance. Would advise staying out of town as the area was rough. Don’t walk late at night. 100% won’t be staying again.
3.9
Ok if you want to stay in Wrexham
3.9
Easy access, with parking. Polite and helpful staff.
Good value for money. Would book again.
What I did not like was central Wrexham on a bank holiday Saturday, cup final day. The whole of Wrexham was drunk... but not the staff. It was a laugh.
3.9
Had a great stay very close to everything.
3.9
A bit too run-down now. Windows facing street are old and not-at-all sound insulated. Bit of a problem when the mainstreet karaoke bar is just outside. Old carpet and bath. Time to renovate. Otherwise helpful and friendly staff.
3.9
Overnight stop on way home from Ireland. City centre pub with pleasant staff. The place needs a refurbishment. In the bar some of the seats are worn and torn. Carpet throughout was showing signs of wear.
Food was very good but there was no real ale which for a Marston's pub was sinful
3.9
Room was grubby, hadn't been hoovered. Bits of food had collected around skirting. Silverfish in bath. As THE central hotel in Wrexham it should aspire to be the best, but frankly was more like a doss house.
3.9
Wasn’t looking forward to staying here based on the negative reviews but I was pleasantly surprised!
I stay in & out of hotels wk in wk out & have done for the past 19 yrs with work and I have stayed in a lot worse . Ok it needs a refresh but what budget hotel doesn’t these days . Young guy on desk on the night of check in was very helpful , yes would stay again .
3.9
The hotel is very outdated and needs some money spent on it. The bar furniture is sticky and worn out. The hotel room was cramped but pretty clean and the bathroom although clean and tidy is again outdated. The main problem is the noise from guests coming back in the early hours and well lubricated including their voices but not a lot you can do about it. Is it value for money - yes
Breakfast is extra but great value, hot and quick couldn't fault it.
I would give this hotel 5/10.
Also post code takes you to the other side of town. Use the address

Adequate for what we paid however the room was not refreshed at all even though we left the card on the door stating to clean room . We noticed after that there was a sign on the wall in the hallway saying to tell a member of staff directly if you wished for this to happen ! Not told on check in though the local football team had just one a major game reception not fully maned staff seemed overworked another state of ways not to have them carry out basic cleaning ! Won’t be staying again despite the good points on offer . Companies need to support staff so they can offer full service having spent 50+ years in the industry this was a first for me having to ask directly to have room refreshed when staying more than one night great idea in theory however make sure next time the guest knows this on checking in we don’t all read every sign etc .

Good location, clean, friendly staff. Needs updating but for the price, good value
