Nice hot breakfast. Location is on the beach, a little rocky for bare feet, wear water shoes. Beach slope extends gradually out pretty far for swimming. Short walk to many restaurant choices, shops, and tours for sale. Various water activities next door. Tour pickup was a short walk. Friendly, helpful staff, who speak English. Clean. Quiet. Clientele seem to be mostly couples and families. Fair price point. Overall cost to do things and dine out in the area is quite reasonable. I did not and would not rent a car. Taxi costs are not abusive.

The reception team were very welcoming and the room was very clean with daily service. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and the hotel is on the edge of the town so not as noisy as it might be.

Overall our stay was okay, however the breakfast was extremely disappointing! Everything was cold and full of wasps surrounding! Furthermore the hotel was meant to provide a free bottle of spirit on arrival which we never received and complained to hotels.com which they then went on to say we did receive it! LIES! Bathroom was also extremely outdated!

The hotel is situated just next to the beach and sea with shallow water! Excellent view from the balcony. When you go to sleep you can hear sea waves! Breakfast has very wide choice including Greek salad and local products like salami or cakes, so not only English breakfast. Prices in restaurant are reasonable an portions are huge, sometimes we order one portion for two. Pool is big however only 1.2m deep. Rooms also convenient but bathrooms could be renovated. Cleaning every day

The staff were very helpful and welcoming from the minute we arrived and we felt totally safe in their hands. The room was lovely and clean with constant fresh towels and bedding, good A/C, black out curtains and toiletries. No additional charges were made for A/C or the safe box which we have found very irritating and expensive at some other hotels! Breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice and superb service from the staff who could not do enough for you. The sandy shallow beach was well sheltered by the small harbour with sun beds, umbrellas and beach towels all provided free of charge. We had a fantastic relaxing holiday and cannot wait to return.

A great stay! Our room was upgraded which had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea and pool. Pool was amazing. Free 3 course lunch with the deal we got and food was delicious.

I stayed here for 6 nights in July 2020. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a panoramic view room. It was very large and had a lovely balcony with a full panoramic view of the ocean. The best feature of this hotel is the oversized pool (I would guess 25m×10m), a baby pool (i would guess 10mx10m) and deck chairs all around and then on the other side the sea, so you can take your pick of what you would like to do. I was more interested in seeing the island as i had a car and like to snorkel but it was nice to come home to a pool and a lovely air conditioned room. Bathroom is functional but a little dated, it did not impact my positive experience though! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a snack bar that will serve light meals and drinks throughout the day to your deck chairs. Food options were in my opinion a little dissapointing (no gyros!) But over the road there is a restaurant that is better stocked and fairly priced. Breakfast was average. I dont eat Breakfast so it is always a little lost on me anyway, but perfectly adequate. Parking is great. Location is beachfront and there are nice restaurants and bars closeby. The main strip of the area is a 18 minute walk, which can be a little frustrating but i think it is worth it to stay away from the crowds on your own secluded part of the beach. Overall I would highly recommend.

Really friendly staff who made my stay very enjoyable! They went out of their way to make me feel welcome! Amazing pool! The room itself was fine, although west facing so got very hot and the window opened up directly onto the public hallway so I couldn't keep the window open at night so had to sleep with the Aircon on which wasn't great :/ Overall a really lovely place, great location (literally ON the beach!), And a lovely breakfast. Area is good for families/young couples with lots of food/bar options Would definitely recommend!!

The hotel staff were actually lovely during our stay but what's happened since has been a night mare. Our stay: we bought a room that was discounted. When we got there our room was in the basement and on first entry there was a putrid smell of mustiness. There was a dehumidifier going and the aircon was put on straight away. I complained about the smell and was told it was fine and because of the dehumidifier which was working in the room. For the time being I accepted this as it was last minute and I didn't want to be a pain. I now know from my own research that the strong musty smell is the smell that bed bugs release when there is an infestation. The 2 single beds had been pushed together to create a large double bed for my partner and I, which I thought was helpful. We stayed in the room as there were no other rooms available. The bed was so large that we had our own blankets. My partner placed his bags on the fold out couch and I laid mine on the floor. The 2nd day my partner made a comment that he thinks this hotel had bed bugs, as he had bites on his legs and ankles. I was not bitten so said to him it must have been mosquitos and dismissed his comments. We were there for 4 days and he kept commenting that he was sure there were bed bugs. We left and my bites appeared a few days later than him as I am darker and react differently. His bag was infested! We have made multiple attempts to contact the hotel who have denied this & make zero apology. Do not stay here!

This hotel is literally on the beach. It is within walking distance of many good restaurants and supermarkets, which are very well stocked. It is the most beautiful setting, with a lovely sandy beach on your doorstep. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols and you can order food and drink from the bar. The sea is very shallow and you have to walk out a long way before you are out of your depth, making it perfect for children and non swimmwers. The hotel rooms are extremely well equipped and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They all helped us plan some fantastic days out. By the end of the week they were friends. Being a small hotel the service is far more personal and they are interested in you and making your holiday the best it can be. The location is great as you have lots to do in walking distance, but it is not a rowdy resort at all. Would highly recommend.

The location of this hotel is excellent - right on the beach with free sun loungers and umbrella's on the beach, grassy bank and around the pool., lots of space around it so felt nice and quiet. The breakfast area and bar have great views across the bay, just a 2-3 min walk into the main street and town for the shops, bars etc. All the Hotel Staff we met were lovely, to mention a few - Ana on reception was very welcoming and helpful, always had a smile, Vicky looked after us at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble she also helped us plan our day around the island with Ana, the night porter again very pleasant and nice to know someone is there. I would highly recommend this hotel !! As a base it was good to explore the island and had safe off road parking.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had our room upgraded on arrival, likely due to availability as it was out of season. Comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Allowed to keep our Room past checkout time to allow for our flight being in the evening. The only unfortunate downside was that every morning the en-suite and bedroom would smell strongly of sewage, coming from the open floor gulley in the bathroom. We spoke about this with reception and some chemicals were poured down the drain elevating the problem but only temporarily. Had this issue not been apparent I would have given a superb rating.

Love the location. Good area of beach and wonderful view from balcony. Could walk wherever we wanted for food and drinks but it's not right in the noisy area for sleeping, so that's nice. Staff is very helpful and friendly and booked taxis, made phone calls (and translated), laundry service, even cooked fish for us that we caught. Beyond the extra mile to help out. Hotel facilities very clean and well kept. Only caveat, the beds are twins that are pushed together and rather hard and the shower curtain was tricky and everything got wet on the floor and counter. Overall great stay!! Keep the windows closed in the areas with no breeze so your room doesn't fill with mosquitoes!

Really enjoyed our stay at Al Mare. In the town of Tsilivi this hotel is perfectly located on the beach front with great views of Zante. It's very near all the bars and restaurants in the town and far enough away from the younger crowd in Laganas. The staff were very welcoming and even arranged our taxi transfer from the airport free of charge. Would happily recommend this hotel to all.
