Help-Beatles in Dampfe brauhaus

Twee stoelen en een zitbank op de kamer. Ook nog een zitje op balkon. De kamer met balkon geeft een iets ruimer en rustiger gevoel. Meubels en bijv. tegelwerk op badkamer wat gedateerd, maar alles is heel en schoon en goed onderhouden. We voelden ons op ons gemak. Goed geslapen. Oh ja; op basis van eerdere reviews: een verlengsnoer met extra randaardestopcontact is handig (tbv opladen smartphones).

Beetje verwarrend: op de bevestiging stond 10.30u check-out; ter plaatse wordt medegedeeld 10.00u. Ontbijt viel niet echt tegen; je moet het zien tegen prijs/kwaliteit: niks van te zeggen: "basic" keuze en de koffie smaakte goed.

Gutes und zentrales Hotel um das Ruhrgebiet zu erkunden.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut an den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr angebunden, DB, Straßenbahn, Busbahnhof. Alles ist fußläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Ein sehr gutes Brauhaus, dass über die Stadtgrenzen hinweg sehr geschätzt wird ist zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Das Hotel wird gerade renoviert, um den Komfort für die Gäste zu verbessern.

Die Aufbackbrötchen beim Frühstück sind Verbesserungs würdig.

Not very convincing

Self check in but could be explained cause its not that simple Balcony for fresh air but if people smoke the smell goes inside Parking but it was full when we arrived luckily we parked easily outside

Not welcoming, burnt my hair in the hair dryer, there was hair for someone else in my towel, there where electric stores which was nice jut they make a lot of noise, shower door was broken, bureau was broken, very simple breakfast and staff didnt speak German or English

Čisté pokoje, ale žádný personál a špatná komunikace.

Rooms were clean.

There was no staff at the reception upon arrival. We spent half an hour at the self-check-in machine trying to get the cards for both reserved rooms from it. But the machine was very unintuitive, probably had a software error and issued us a card for only one room. We ended up calling the phone number listed at the front desk, but the owner didn't speak English and I didn't speak German well. Finally, the owner's wife told me in basic English that we don't need the cards because we have keys in the door. So our anabasis at the machine was actually pointless. The hotel has only a minimum of parking spaces, which were full. To date, no one from the staff has answered my question as to whether we can legally park in the parking spaces on the street opposite the hotel. We would also like information from the hotel that in order to even drive off the highway to the hotel in Essen on the way to Belgium, we need to have a green eco plaque on our car. We only found out in retrospect, so we risked a fine. The shower hose was leaking when other guests were showering so we were disturbed at night by the running water.

Disappointing

It was close to the train and bus stations. Calm neighborhood. Kinda cheap.

No breakfast was served (as promised..?). The room didn't have any kind of ventilation except for the balcony door and a window, no ventilation in the bathroom, so it was kinda hard to breath if we closed the door and window a bit at night. The left side of the bed was super loud.

Superb

The hotel was easy to find, has its own parking, check-in was very simple and fast, all the facilities were clean like they were brand new. Manager is available for a call all the time for a question or a problem. Wi-fi was good, hotel is quiet and worth the money you pay.

We slept in a double bed with a two single mattresses in it. Every time we turn the other person would fall in a gap in the middle.

Disappointing

Bed was comfortable

It was so dusty I couldn't sleep, the massive amount of hair in the shower I had to remove myself. Breakfast was very basic but ok.

A horrible experience

Absolutely nothing. We couldn't even check in

The payment machine wasn't working so we couldn't check in. We tried to contact them numerous times but they didn't answer. We had to wait for more than 2 hours in the cold, while travelling with 2 young children, until we found another accommodation. They haven't even returned our calls or reply to our messages the next day

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM.THE OWNER IS A SCAMMER. I arrived in the evening and found the place is locked. Tried to contact the owner numerous time for more than half hour but received no response. The sky is getting darker and colder. I decided to change places and ask back for refund. The owner only start to respond 1 hour later and had arrogantly rejected my request. The owner arrogantly said that they only responded late (by making me stand outside alone in the cold weather for 1 hour), not that you are dying. So no refund.

Very good

It's a nice place for a short stay, great value for money. There is a S-Bahn and a tram stop nearby, about 10 minutes to the main station. There is a nice parc in the close proximity.

Nice hotel

Safe and quiet place to live in.. Clean hotel and rooms.. Train station is nearby to get to the city center easily.. Staff is not there but the facilities were provided.. Wifi speed is good if you are looking to work.. Good for couples.. Self check in and check out was smooth.. Bathroom is also good.. The room was in the basement so it was cool even if the temperature was 30 degrees outside..

We stayed for two days but no one came to clean the room or provide fresh towels, water or toiletries.. The furniture looks old and the room was quite small but it was okay and clean..

nothing, the bed was un fixed that I had to call the management to repair it, the shower tap was spoilt and water has no way to go out well it takes a lot of time before it goes out

Definitely good value for money

The breakfast was refreshing. Enough food for everyone. Just what we needed for the trip ahead of us. The food was fresh. staff was there at the reception but they did not speak to us a lot as the hotel is self-check-in. The bathroom and room were pretty clean and comfortable. Perfect for business trips.

It was a bit confusing as the sat nav directed us to the hotel next to us and at night we struggled to find it even though it was very near but that's not a big deal. The parking for higher vehicles and vans was not convenient as we could not fit the underground parking as well outside 2 spaces are pretty small. Luckily we managed to park across the road on street parking. Staff also could be more friendly.

The hotel is located near night clubs and a busy bus station. A lot of noise till after 2am. The check in process is smooth and a basic breakfast is provided in the morning. The hotel is good for solo travellers not for a family
