everything is wrong about this place

This hotel is a SCAM

This is a run down, overpriced place.. no amenities, no English speaking people. Would not recommend this place to anyone. It should be rated a 2 star place.

This property is old and supplies nothing. No coffee maker, no shampoo ect, old towels.

It didn’t look at all like the posted pictures. Our room was never cleaned, we didn’t have new towels, the place looks like it was about to fall down, we had to buy our own toilet paper, no service or attention. We just wasted our money.

NO fridge for insulin, ice for insulin, hot water, bar(or pool), clean pillows (Yellow from sweat), breakfast or restaurant, vending machines, bilingual staff.
I left after one night even though there are no refunds.

The pool is falling apart, there is no restaurant or bar as was advertised in the photos. The hotel is pretty much abandonded, the beds were absolutely horrible and were like sleeping on a piece of plywood! The sheets and pillows had stains on them. We asked for a refund immediately after checking in, but we were denied by the owner. Overall terrible hotel, I wouldnt recommend this place to my enemy!

We booked a Junior suite for a weekday. We arrived and there was no one at the property, no one was at the lobby/reception. The security guard was the only person there. Swimming pool had no water, really the place was not as described. We checked out immediately and went to another hotel close by.
Expedia did a great job helping me. They call the hotel but obviously no one will answer then the agent helped to arrange the refund and also gave me member rewards to compensate the bad experience. Thank you.

Not as advertised. No customer service. Not a resort at all with misleading amenities! Booked 3 nights and left after first night. Our front door had only one very loose handle with chipped wood around where it had been jimmied. Broken chair in room and no jaccuzi.

Unfortunately, we couldn't have a good experience due to the poor state of the hotel.
Minimal staff, closed restaurant & bar, unmaintained swimming pool, no Wi-Fi, bad quality of bath towels, small TV and terrible signal quality, water leakage at the kitchen's sink (good water pressure), but not enough water pressure to shower.
The hotel is totally outdated, and the lack of maintenance is evident.

There was only 1 security guard and felt unsafe
There was only 1 other guests and they checked out early too. There were giant cockroaches in the room. Totally disgusting! I'm calling Expedia to try and get my money back.

Good swimming pool, private beach and big place to enjoy with children and teenager

Dated building but views were breathtaking. The staff were super friendly. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner.

Awful experience

This property has been pretty much abandoned by the owner. Lacks cleaning, painting and overall maintenance. They only have one person per shift doing everything. You can see how overwhelmed they feel just by talking to them. We paid around $300 a night for this hotel based on good experience we had years ago, but it was sold and the new management hasn’t been able to keep it up.
Note. Employees were really kind.

view was the only thing good. Old Ghoast town. I would not stay even free. Orbitz should remove from their linsting.

I would never stay here again. Wifi horrible and there was no free breakfast as advertised. In fact there was no restaurant, bar or anything else. The pictures make it look nice but the place should be bulldozed. Stay away.

The beautiful view is undeniable and being in that pool is wonderful. The room was clean and had AC. The staff I met were great and really friendly, although sparse. The important parts were just fine, and as advertised. I was disappointed with how run down the rest of the hotel was. It was obvious there was once a restaurant and bar. There's a sign saying the place is for sale for redevelopment. Small problems everywhere and it seems they're not looking to fix them. A couple examples: Hot water runs down the shower wall from the tap constantly. There are gaps around the doors letting the heat in so the AC has to work hard to keep up. These things are easily solved and would save the hotel money, but don't affect the guests much.

We really liked everything about the hotel, except for the construction of the marina noise going on right now.

We enjoyed the helpful staff, the location and the price. The rooms were very clean with fresh towels supplied daily. It is a shame that they show a full Monkey bar in operation, where it has been closed for a few years. The restaurant is breakfast only. We loved the breakfast and Oliver who served us each morning. Amy was very helpful and we told her we will be back. Thank you for everything.

We didn’t stay!! We cancelled our trip, (the day after booking), due to extreme illness.
Hotels.com never got back to us. We requested refund, even partial refund. Will never use Hotels.com again

The place is dated, needs a lot of renovations

It was terrible. We left a day early. Photos are 15 or 20 years old. There is no restaurant. First room they gave us was filthy. Linens old. Price was a total rip off. You need to check out the properties before you list.

Overpriced for a very basic room with no toiletries, chair nor even a table. Hard beds. Bathroom was recently redone and was good. Property was very very run down. The word ’resort’ needs to be removed from this hotel name.

Nasty hotel, a/c didn't work, no wifi, building is old , with no maintenance at all and stinks, they should shut down this hotel and you will remove from hotels.com

The girl in the reception was really nice.
Private beach was cool

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! The restaurant was not open the rooms where old and the beds very uncomfortable there was only a half roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no other rolls around. The hotel is very, very, very run down. Not at all as the pictures describe on the website. I felt ripped off having paid $160 for this room it was more like a $20 room. I would not recommend anyone to book this room.

The facility is excellent value for the money. older building with older facilities. Clean and in good working condition with a nice beach at low tide.

Manager needs to have a better and more welcoming attitude.

First the good: The hotel staff was very accommodating. They gave me an excellent view room, with a balcony and beautiful view over the bay at Playa Flaming, Costa Rica. The bar and swimming pool area were a lot of fun and in nice shape. Now the bad. The hotel is in bad shape. It is old, and needs to be totally refurbished. The bathroom was too small, no real hot water and the plumbing needs repair. The bed mattress was thin and not comfortable at all. The airconditioning sucked big time, it was hot outside and pretty warm inside. I had heard the hotel was for sale and I would believe it given its state of disrepair.
I would not stay at this hotel again. It was one of the more pricier ones in the area and as a result, I expected more. Not a good bang for the buck. I feel bad writing such negative comments, but the truth is the truth. If this place were refurbished, it would be a great stay. Just the views alone are worth the consideration, but I would rather visit the bar for the view and go back to a cool, comfortable room somewhere else.

Ended 4 week holiday here and enjoyed our stay overall. We stayed in room 209, it was right above bar but noise didnt seem to be big issue as it closes around 9:30-10 and room was comfortable over all. We loved Flamingo Beach (close drive with lots of parking or walkable if you dont mind climbing hill home) and Flamingo Marina where resort is located has quiet beach below resort to spend days relaxing, swimming and no vendors bugging you to buy stuff, yeah!

I was there for 9 days with my 6 year old daughter. By the time we left, we felt like we had a family at Flamibgo Marina Hotel. They took amazing Care of us from day one. The Monkey Bar cant be beat!

The hotel is ok, but the hotel rooms need more space for clothes. We were a party of three and have not enough cabinets or closets. The food is ok too, maybe a little small for lunch and dinner. A small and private beach, buth the good one is to 10 or 15 minutes away.

As a visitor from the US I was very suprised to fine no service people skoke english.
The breakfast was not good at all and in general the value for the amount of money was poor.
I will not return to this hotel.
