Perfect. Just perfect. A little bit of heaven in a tiny Texan town. Giant room, very clean, very nice staff. Amazing pool area! The only small thing was that the breakfast wasn’t included in the room price.

Found a real gem! Excellent services. Beautiful restored hotel. Everything you need: dining, bar, pool, hot tub, wonderful rooms, huge shower, clean, comfy, quiet. Like the layout of the superior double queens! Definite place to mark on our travels!

On first glance the hotel is lovely. But my room had the following: 1. Blood-stained sheets 2. Lamp shade next to the bed was in rags 3. A sharp carpet tack sticking straight up out of the carpet next to the bed. Additionally, this was a room with BRIGHT flood lights directly outside the windows. The light was impossible to keep out of the room. Had I been staying longer than one night I would have changed rooms. At checkout I brought all of these issues to the attention of the hotel staff. She assured me that I would be getting an apology and a partial refund when the manager arrived at 2 PM! The Settles is the most expensive and historic hotel in the region. Sadly, it is NOT worth the money.

Great stay. Rooms were beautiful,clean, & cozy. Staff wA friendly. Restaurant down stairs was great! Pool & hot tub was nice!! The only trouble we had was finding parking. However, they are just about finished with their new parking that will be perfect!! We enjoyed our stay!

A 5 star gem in Big Spring! We were passing through & my husband remembered an episode from Day Tripper… so we checked it out. Worth a stop & then some 👍 Highly Recommend! 😊

The room was older, but could have been cleaner, had refrigerator but no microwave. there was a small couch but very uncomfortable, the only chair in the room was stained and not clean. Very dissapointed.

This is a beautifully restored property. The period ambience, the condition of the hotel is wonderful. Even the elevator sounds period correct! The bed was amazing, the bathroom was beautiful. The rooms are well appointed with nice furniture and amenities…it was more like a small luxury apartment than a hotel room. There is no way to be disappointed with the Hotel Settles!

This Hotel feels luxurious. I could picture the people who stood hete long ago. The rooms and hotel have been restored beautifully.Salmon dinner is delish!And lemon Drop Marini yummy . Hanging out at the pool was so relaxing!. Great job everyone !

I have stayed at the Hotel Settles several times before and always enjoy it. This time I was disappointed that the pool was closed-unexpectedly and that I was not able to order food in the bar on a Sunday night. I had called ahead to confirm that food would be available in the bar until 9:00 as the restaurant is closed on Sunday night. The kitchen closed early and we had to find dinner across the street. In the end we were compensated for our inconvenience and staff were apologetic, understanding and generous. Maybe let guests know when the pool will be closed in the summer and make sure that the front desk staff know what the kitchen is doing. It is a beautiful hotel and usually a great stop while traveling. I will stay there again.

The Settles is pretty awesome, but the town in this area looks like it has fallen on hard times...Abandoned looking. Parking around the building leaves a lot to be desired. I was on the 3rd floor and it seemed like some very noisy hot rod type cars liked cruising around on the street in front of the hotel, and it sounded like the window was open in my room. There is a bus depot about a block away with some interesting looking folks hanging around. My room was really nice...furnishings and fixtures were very nice. One bedside lamp didn't work however, and one of the window curtains would not open. Gotta go to the basement for ice.

The Hotel and Room were and are always amazing.. Beds are so comfy and rooms very clean.. Cant say much for the pool and hot tub..Never saw any workers test the chemicals, clean the pool or pool area and it showed.. We have always enjoyed the pool on past stays.. Not this time.. They were both very cloudy and had residue floating around especially the hot tub pool.. Nasty.. The pool had sand all in the bottom and the water was dirty.. Area by the hot tub had chicken leg bones laying all over the floor area all 3 days we checked with ants all over them.. pieces of chicken all around the area..Could not enjoy the pool area this stay

This renovated historic hotel is gorgeous. There's a very old car in the lobby and lots of beautiful pictures of the hotel in earlier days throughout the building. The rooms are large and the bed is comfortable. Our only complaint was that the bathroom was very small, I suppose like they were when the hotel was built originally. The shower took forever to get warm water and the spray was so fierce it almost took your skin off.
